Great content with a really cool decklist! I've been using interesting decklists like this to put my Monte Carlo program to the test, and this one running the 3 basics with 2 fossils is definitely one I've been looking forward to breaking down. Probabilities: Exeggcute turn 1: 94% Hitmonlee turn 1: 72% (t2: 79%, t3: 85%, t4:89%, t5:93% ... t10:99.97%) Any Exeggutor turn 2: 75% Exeggutor EX turn 2: 55% Exeggutor turn 2: 30% Amber turn 1: 53% (Anytime you have two of a non basic, this is your chance to have the card turn 1 in a deck with 2 professor's research) Aerodactyl EX turn 2: 33% When compared to an all grass deck that runs 2 copies of exeggcute, 2 Exeggutor EX and a total of 6 basics: Exeggcute turn 1: 79% ( same probability for any other 2-of basic in the deck) Exeggutor EX turn 2: 51% This video is great because you get to see the inconsistencies in the energy, and as always Jeff walks us through the alternate realities created by the rng of the game.
i've been playing this deck ever since you uploaded this video, surprisingly more consistent than other decks i played. i replaced the baby exeggutor with the mythical island one cause i don't have it but it honestly carried me through multiple games definitely one of my fav deck
Odd thing with the new Exeggcute is that even if you don't run grass energy in your deck, it will still pull grass energy from your energy zone with Growth Spurt.
Usually dont include potion if you are using a fast deck. Like Marshadow hitmonlee deck, pikachu deck etc. However it still depends on you if you want to include 1 potion or non at all
@ 9:08 would it have been better to use hitmonlee to hit the fossil for 30? Then, if farfetch knocks the hitmonlee, then everything is within range of Areodactyl EX, even if the fossil evolves.
6:50-7:20 dude no. I don’t even care about luck, if the coin doesn’t flip my way, whatever I lose. If it does, then hell yeah I might win. But you’re not gonna sit there with your bald head and tell me that this game isn’t 90% luck where card games like yugioh and (especially) mtg luck stops at card draw/order in the deck. You might’ve convinced whoever you gave that weak parable to otherwise because it was unnecessarily assertive in tone, but in reality that was dumb as hell. No game in the history of card games besides maybe poker has EVER been this heavily reliant on luck and I challenge anyone in the comments to give a card game that even remotely compares to it.
@@samhorstead4758 that was unnecessarily mean. Having low standards for what is considered a very good tech in a game so popular with casual players is perfectly normal, and not deserving of mockery.

Jeff only playing three basics?! He must really love eggs
Amber is mostly a basic when you are evolving it.
@@HooglandiaPocketHe has, many many times, explained & shown why EGG is practically the best EX in the game… why WOULDN’T he play it?! 😂😂
34:32 this is good to know and I'll be sure to watch live from work on the other stream!
Took me a second to realize “2 eggs” != old ambers 😂
Odd thing with the new Exeggcute is that even if you don't run grass energy in your deck, it will still pull grass energy from your energy zone with Growth Spurt.
Took what learned from this vid and made a egg golem deck. Killing it!!!!
Very cool deck Im excited to try it with this having my favorite exs
37:12 I always get second hand embarrassment seeing that
I wonder why a multi color deck doesnt just rotate energy but im also not that experienced
Thoughts on playing a copy of blue in this deck?
Not sure what meaningful breakpoint you'd be protecting from to make that better than a Potion or Erika.
@ i thought of mewtu plus giovanni wont one one exxegute or pikachu wont one shot aerodactyl
@@HooglandiaPocket i think its also ok against other exegute decks but against other exxegute decks die erika potion does enougj of a job
Man, I tried playing this deck and the coin flips were god awful.... literally kept track and landed 3/16 of my flips with Exeggutor... felt so bad
Deck looks fun but Starmie Lumineon currently has my undivided attention
Mine too, I just can't post a video with it every day
Can i get a tip. When to include potion in a deck? I notice you did not include in some deck. Like what is the HP treshold of the pokemons?
No real hard and fast rule for when or when not to.
Usually dont include potion if you are using a fast deck. Like Marshadow hitmonlee deck, pikachu deck etc. However it still depends on you if you want to include 1 potion or non at all
Red card in 2025, imagine that

Although true, it’s risky when you let the opponent take a point 😓
when you say that you used up your heads on a low HP mon is that just kidding like I think or is it confirmed that pokemon uses psudeo random?
It is a riff on people who believe silly conspiracy theories. There is nothing "rigged" about the coin here.
@@HooglandiaPocket I was hoping so haha but you have said it enough to have me guessing a tiny bit haha.
Oooooooo I have to try this one. Egg Ex is my fave card in Pocket.
I call this deck Amber Egg haha

The growth spurt fighting energy tech is actually 100000 iq :o
If by 100000 iq you mean, being able to read the card text… then yeah 100000 iq :o
