We do fabricate some polyester buttons machines for our own use. Almost if not all of our polyester button making machines come from Italy. Made by Tullio Guisi Spa.
I'm Austraelian too, just sounds like a normal American pronounciation to me. How do you want her to say it exactly? & does it really matter? It's not like she's doing the insane pronunciation like occurs with aluminium or herbal
I think it's to make it audibly understandable for non-english speakers who probably won't understand the normal pronunciation of button. She really over does it though. Almost cringeworthy because you know she's doing it intentionally.
I wanted to see oyster and clam buttons. I once saw that in a client's shell collection and since then always wondered how that was done. Now that I own a laser cutter I know how it could be done, but I know they did have that technology back in those days. Does anyone know how claim and oyster buttons were made?
I dont know why people are complaining about her voice, its not that bad. Sure her accent causes her to say some words wrong. But you can understand it
Does anyone have any clue on how metal buttons are made? Injection of molten metal maybe? I think lost wax is just too counter productive for it. Thanks anyone for any response
really people... You hate a whole video just because someone pronounce a word differently from you? I find nothing irritating listening to her saying "button" like that.
i always wonder if the workers just sort out so many of their products, so they look like they are doing a good job in front of the camera... i should really stop whatching these videos!
Why did they not use injection molding to make the BUTThuns? That would allow for the shape, size and holes for threading to be done in one quick step. A lot of unnecessary machines in my opinion.
I'm English, she says buttons correctly (albeit with an accent). It aboot time you Candians (and Americans) finally learnt how to speak proper English :)
But-ton ;) . She tends to over-enunciate certain words. Like the radiator episode. They had to turn off comments on that video due to everyone ripping her saying Rah-dee-ay-tor instead of Ray-dee-ay-tor.
God forbid someone pronounce a word differently than you. I wonder if it has anything to do with how thin the air is way up on that high horse you are all riding... Get over it...
the BAH tens

Just a simple button yet so complicated! Wow.
It amazes me I can still find How It's Made episodes I have not yet watched.
Her voice isn't pleasant, but I dont hear her saying button incorrectly. Maybe because I'm an Australian...?
Good... Your fine :)
I'm also Australian and yes, i don't see any problem in her pronunciation at all
I'm Austraelian too, just sounds like a normal American pronounciation to me. How do you want her to say it exactly?

shes needs to stop saying buttons like that...
I think it's to make it audibly understandable for non-english speakers who probably won't understand the normal pronunciation of button. She really over does it though. Almost cringeworthy because you know she's doing it intentionally.
"BUTT-TON!" Ugh, it grates on my ears!
Whoah.... I always assumed they just use a bunch of plastic they put into a mold. Would never have guessed it could be this elaborate.
Would never have guessed it was so complicated, slow and manual. How can buttons be so cheap?
I don't understand how anyone could hire this person for voice over work.
At 4:40 she pronounces buttons the correct way! I nearly fell off my chair
they also do it in the marshmallow cookie segment too !!!!!! darn em!
the music is banging, it really is amazing
By Jove, that's it! I've been trying to put a description with that voice for years, thank-you sir you have made my week.

We are all mature enough to pronounce BUTTON ..........thrill is to enjoy the video....THE TRUE ESSENCE......
I wanted to see oyster and clam buttons. I once saw that in a client's shell collection and since then always wondered how that was done.
Now that I own a laser cutter I know how it could be done, but I know they did have that technology back in those days.
Does anyone know how claim and oyster buttons were made?
Canadian version Folks. She is French Canadian. At least I am pretty sure after listening to her do hundreds of episodes....
It's funny how the carefully guarded secret was given away within few seconds.
I'm not sure which is more wince-worthy: the way she pronounces things, or the puns....
Is it just me, or is she WAY too enthusiastic? She is driving me NUTS
she said, at the beginning of the second part, that bone buttons were found from prehistoric time so... somewhere in the B.C.
LMAO!! I love the way she says butt un
it makes me giggle i love it
I love the women in the factory.
Having examined several metal buttons on my shirts I would guess that they are stamped and two pieces joined and on jeans 4 pieces
I dont know why people are complaining about her voice, its not that bad. Sure her accent causes her to say some words wrong. But you can understand it
she sounds like she's yelling >
Your face... it fits so perfectly....

i wish i hadn't read the comments half way through watching this..... :L
Does anyone have any clue on how metal buttons are made? Injection of molten metal maybe? I think lost wax is just too counter productive for it. Thanks anyone for any response
I personally don't see a problem with her voice.. I mean, it's nothing compared to the man who did the first season of this show.
Good job

i am glad i am not the only one who was thinking that
i didn't even realize she was saying buttons kinda odd till i read the comments
same & even now I can't figure out what the issue is, just sounds like an American accent to me
You'd have thought on a documentary about Buttons they'd have chosen a woman who can pronounce the word.

"This is the Slicer. It chops buttons."
I will never see buttons the same way again.

But-ton ;) . She tends to over-enunciate certain words. Like the radiator episode. They had to turn off comments on that video due to everyone ripping her saying Rah-dee-ay-tor instead of Ray-dee-ay-tor.
"BuT-eNN-ZZz"

What about metal BATTANS :)
i havent seen this one yet and i was fairly surprised. as for those complaining about the voice and such: shut up and just watch the damn video.
"ButTENS"
I think that one narrator in NatGeo is more annoying.
Button pun!
How they become hard?
Battons! Shiet!
why do they call everything on how it's made "blanks"?
God forbid someone pronounce a word differently than you. I wonder if it has anything to do with how thin the air is way up on that high horse you are all riding... Get over it...
