DOCKSIDE DRAMA - PERSON IN THE WATER?!?

In this video I drop 5 gallons of fuel to a boater who ran out of gas a few hundred yards away from their destination. Following that a dockside drama unfolds. We heard a call come over the radio for a "person drowning" so we mobilized quickly as it was right at our marina. The video shows the progression of that investigation as it unfolded. It's amazing how many people with boats run out of Fuel. That literally should never happen. They must be the type of people that go to gas station and ask for $10 of gas at a time. Instead of filling the entire gas tank

Boat fuel gauges are notoriously inaccurate, but I do fill mine up every time I go out.

You know it’s serious when the 2 troopers show up with the brims right over their eye brows! All in all great video and how stupid can someone be to leave without saying anything! Being on the water I’ve see you respond on calls in Boston harbor. The bs you have to deal with on a daily basis is nuts. I know it is a business but a very scary one. People get on boats and think it’s a walk in the park. It’s not. 60% of them should not be out there and in this state there is no course mandatory. Boston harbor and the islands is a free for all and you need to be very defensive and watch what you are doing. Keep up the great work and stay safe!

For towboat US members, tows are fully provided for. For fuel, the member pays the fuel and the runtime to and from the dock is provided for.
