Great tutorial - not wasting any time! It worked flawlessly for me. I did set up my desktop, changed wallpapers, installed apps - and finally I wanted to make a BACKUP with TWRP. I booted into TWRP but it told me /data cannot be mounted. Also Data is shown to have 0MB. I cannot make a backup! On TH-cam they say, Wipe-Advanced and format Data. First to ext2 and then back to ext4. After wiping it was possible to mount /data Then I did the initial phone setup (since wiping /data brought it back to factory settings) - but when I rebooted in TWRP, again, /data was not mounted and I couldn't mount it manually.
I did the first steps, but it's not showing the OEM option... I tried searching for it, but the screen kept flashing and kicking me out of the search. Not sure what to do.
first of all, mobile must be exynox model not snapdragon then restart mobile , connect wifi, check software updates, after checking then go to developer options and check OEM
@user-rw3vz9vo3s dear if your note 9 was having patched firmware then you need to flash back patched firmware ti get network work. NON PTA phones will have rooted patched firmware

after successfully instaling twrp via odin, the phone auto restart to system. then i turn off the power, back to download mode and then press the keys just like time 2:35 for go to twrp recovery menu. but it always made me go to factory recovery menu (hard reset). what's wrong bro?
When unlocking OEM a warning appears saying "if OEM unlock is turned on your phone will be reset to factory settings, and this will erase all your data bla bla bla..." Any suggestions? Thanks
lineageos have its own recovery which requires to get install OTA updates. rooting lineageOS can be done by renaming magiskmanager.apk to magsik.zip then sideload it to get install with lineageios recovery, after booting then install magiskmanager.apk on lineageos rom and done

if 26.4 can make your device is certified then go with the latest one, i have tried with few mobile but latest magisk 26.4 not working properly with the safetynet fix module, so 26.1 is good for right now,

dear, you can try installing magisk.apk file on rom, if it start work then things are ok, but if you have fully uninstall it then you need to flash magisk.zip from custom recovery

after flashing which file that your mobile is going booting into recovery ? by the way data will be loss tap wipe tap format data then type yes done then flash root magisk file then reboot
@@bgkcreation9955 the TWRP tar file for the Note 9, in the video it shows after flashing on Odin, to boot into TWRP with the button combo. (Maybe i got the combo wrong), because it goes back to the stock recovery. Yes, understand the phone was wiped prior because OEM unlock was disabled
@@kevinhelee i had this problem, if you do the button combo wrong you have to flash with odin again because something in the system overwrites the recovery with the old one

@@bgkcreation9955 at the very least there is a tool that attempts to recover some Knox functionality. It does recover a bit of features back but Samsung pay isn't one of those unfortunately. Honestly if there wasn't an issue with Knox, flashing custom roms would've been soo great, truly. This little inconvenience is enough to stay away from it. I've flashed a custom rom only once and that was CyanogenMod many many years ago. Was blazing fast on a generic android phone.

rooting mobile will cause in few things which may be banking app may not work properly, we need to give permission or bypassing it in magisk in zygisk
