Thank you. Some unexpected challenges, they make it more exciting. I have taken plastic bags to put over boots, and even have taken off boots and waded. Yes, that's cold but better than the peril of wet boots and feet in bad cold conditions, which would take time to stop and dry out.
What a challenge! Love winter hiking, but maybe not that challenging. Maine is the most difficult part of the Appalachian. Thanks for sharing.
