That perfect square in the ground is what you call a surface mob spawner. A surface mob spawner can hold chests and a certain type of spawner. The spawner that you ran into was a zombie spawner.

Michael/Bere if you see this, you could have literally mined the pressure plate and not even risk exploding the hidden tnt. I do that all the time but all it really does is it technically disables the tnt and guarantees more space. Use this tip in the future if you continue Minecraft because it does help

This is just an idea but maybe you could have tyler and Bereghost record and switch between the two recordings so we can see what's happening on both ends? it is just an idea.

Tip: If there is more than one item ie: diamonds and if they can stack and they aren't stacked in a chest. you can hold shift and double left click to pick up all of them. or its double left click

The square has a zombie spawner under the sand get silk touch and use it in your mob trap make shuer you use water to posh the mobs down the center
that sand and cobblestone thing was a mob spawner whenever they r a perfect square that means it is amon spawner in the sand

bere in the desert temple blocks falling wont trigger the pressure plate and when u get down there all you have to do if mine the pressure plate you dont have to dig under it and get rid of the tnt
