SMB Cape was too broken flying whole levels outdoors. Was a fun game but smb3 was more challenging.
I used to think people that thought smb3 was better than smw were nuts but when I listened to their reasoning they make a lot of solid points

It depends on your tastes i guess but to me its clearly superior. It has more powerups, each world actually has it's own maps, some of which have secrets *on the overworlds* , a couple of them are actually puzzles to solve to move around and complete levels effectively, you could warp.

I grew up with both, love them both but I still prefer SMB3 over SMW
