absolutely fantastic amazing craftmanship of these figures, the only is if you were a kids you lose interest if you were going for quick transformations battling decepticons but even so make me sad cos all my figures from when i was a kid are gone sadly i gave them to my nephew and destroyed them including my limited jetfire(skyfire) to be a kid again simpler times.

Well this is on my wish list now. It is amazing how Takara's MP-44 is a nightmare to transform, yet 3rd party companies consistently manage to pull of such elegance.

this is the most G1 show accurate Optimus Prime toy the world has seen. Change my mind. Btw it is amazing and it is beutiful.
Wow... This looks a lot like the G1 cartoon series Optimus Prime. Other versions may have a lot more detail (and probably moving parts), but this version seems to be pretty accurate. I wonder how sturdy these toys are; all the small parts that make up these newer versions of the G1 figures must mean that they are awfully fragile.
That's about the best, truest Optimus Prime I've ever seen.

TE-01 is superior to the MP-44 overall. Only advantage the latter has is the ab crunch. I really wish this was a licensed product.

I have one and I can say without a doubt it's a wonderful masterpiece styled figure and would recommend this to anyone wanting a g1 styled Optimus Prime. The figure looks even better when you give it the alternate head that is more like the MP-44 head.
Yeah, transformation is complex (but the good kind) , back of the truck is clean and no kibble, and a freakin good robot mode that doesn't have visible panel lines.

I understand Hasbro needs to take care of the children, but they shouldn’t take off 3rd party who targets adults, since they can’t make one for adults
Because 3rd party have to survive their companies, they use all the skills they have, after invest big money buying a character license, make sure the product is good enough for selling.
Hasbro in the other side, already lazy and fat.

TE-01 is a great alternative to MP-44. Pulls off plenty of poses, looks toon accurate, and solidly built. All at a FRACTION of what MP-44 costs.
It's a shame that some third party companies can produce such excellent figures better than what Takara can do.

Transform Element needs to work for TakaraTomy and help TakaraTomy get to work on a version 4 Masterpiece G1 Optimus Prime. The MP-01, MP-10 and MP-44 Masterpiece G1 Optimus Prime molds are disasters.
MP-01 is fine for when it was made. Can't knock it for not being 100% accurate. They could have done nothing at all and we might not even have a Masterpiece line.

Speaking of the toy concept: i dont like the fact that it hides and fake its robot aspect instead of just shifting parts in place. If it s to do this, it s the sqme as using a figure for the robot and a figure of the truck seperatly. I mean the fun of transforming is to shift the parts to the right robot place.,
This would require a lot of suspension of disbelief pretending the transformation is simple like in the G1 cartoon and the G1 toy.
Beautiful nonethe less though!
Clean and simpler transformation, great articulations. Whoever designed this version, they done a great job outclassing Takara Tomy, Hasbro, and other third parties.

It may look the simplest but, it has the best and most complicated transformation. No compromise with the design, complete packing. Excellent product.
What's crazy is that they could have kept the same grill for both modes if they wanted to. It would be the first and only MP scale G1 Prime with all real parts(grill, chest, gas tanks).
That's what Optimus Prime should look like. Shame he didn't look like this in the films.

The human figure is no doubt most accurate and loyal to G1 cartoon. Yet that is why engineers have to break it into flat pieces like broken cardboard in order to make it able to transform. I won’t call it the best or perfect.

Taobao if you can read Chinese. I got mine last year in Aug. Aliexpress and some toy sites have had it. Not sure the production now. It was on a really tight schedule last year.
