Hey man I really appreciate you going through the effort of making a video, I'm a very visual person and this helped me a lot on my gs450 project :))

I'm the same way. Can't learn a thing by simple lecture. Need to see. And make a few mistakes. 😄 Thanks for watching.

Good work on putting a Suzuki GS build online... I am currently getting a 1981 GS 450 back to life .... after getting a Yamaha XS400 back on the road after a break of 20 years . I look forward to seeing future episodes and especially when you work the electrical. Appreciate any tips and thoughts on the process. Thanks

Hello. Firstly I'd like to thank-you for putting these videos up. You've helped me to rebuild my engine, which had slipped the timing chain.
I'm wondering if you have any pictures of the airbox before you took it out? Mine came with pods on and i'd like to go back to the airbox, and would like to see how the surrounding parts fitted onto it.
Also I'm interested in what speedo you bought to replace the stock one, and if you've had an attempt at stripping out the gear position indicator yet?

    Hi so i recently acquired 2 bikes 1 is a 80 gs 550 and the other a 82 gs650
This is the first time I’ve really dug deep into a motorcycle and I can’t believe how many philips screws are used is this really common on bikes. Or was this just for the time period.
These bikes have been sitting sense 1988 someone messed with ithem and I’ve come across 2 screws with the head stripped I’m ready to replace every screw with either Allen or torx screws.

They look like Phillip's but they're actually Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS). They get stripped out easily when someone attempts to break them loose with a Phillips screwdriver. VERY common issue. Not a failure of manufacturers - a failure by American DIYers misjudging the tool required. A JIS screwdriver is $10-$15 on Ebay.

Hi compliments for your work, I wanted information, in the video at the 11:54 minute you talk about a brake pump switch can you tell me where to buy it on ebay? How to find it because I have the same problem because the original one is broken. thank you so much

Be sure to check your bolt size and thread pitch. I'd guess most UJMs use 10mm x 1.25, but there could be exceptions and I'm not sure which bike you're working on. All the best!

Thank you very much, I am working on a 1978 european suzuki gs550e, I am writing from italy. Right now your videos have allowed me to understand many things. There are other questions I have to ask you. Another problem I noticed is that in the morning I find gasoline drops on the floor. Do not know where it came from. do you have any idea? Sorry for my bad English

DeSmo DUke Sorry. I'd need more details to make an attempt at diagnosing the fuel leak problem.
