Finally someone showing the RIGHT way to do it instead of: Use stock LS flywheel from 4.8L, drill out the bolt holes in the pressure plate, slap together, have some of the face of the clutch hanging out in the air because the center bolt clearance in the stock flywheel is TOO BIG! Either that, or they have to use a clutch disk from a 1999 model 2500 truck, the throw out bearing from the original vehicle, the pressure plate from a 1995 350 truck, or some type of mash-up of a parts list. If you use that flywheel that you have, then ALL of the clutch components can now be from the original application and will fit and work properly. Pretty handy when you or someone else eventually has to replace that clutch 10 years down the road!
I have ordered that same flywheel, just been backordered for several months now.

Nice and simple! I ran into clearance issues with an external slave cylinder and my headers, so I ended up with a hydraulic throwout bearing instead.

Thats what I was shooting for!! And yes sir, with the stock truck manifolds it clears but it’s tight. Slight modifications to manifold and It’ll be money 🤙🏻

Could you use the same pilot Bushing, flywheel set up with a LT1 T56. I know you would have to use a clutch with the right splines

Use a standard Gen 1 pilot buching. Summit sells the GM one dont use aftermarket/auto parts junk I learned the hard way.
Slip it on the input shaft to make sure it isnt too tight before installing it
