So true! I get a lot of messages from viewers that don't understand the concept. Most of the time, I send them here: th-cam.com/video/T8DZLl1O0xo/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TheLouisianaHobbyGuy since you did such a good job explaining it.
hello I have a Question unrelated to this video. your videos are amazing. However I have alonger 5 10w ive beentrying to cut sanded wood 1/4 also mdf 1/4 and for some reason I cant cut. I've used all sorts of setting down to 100/100 and no luck. can you give some advise? please andthank you.
Sometimes. And, sometimes not. Depends on what you are setting up the template for. Here, all are the same size, so grid array would work. If some were different sizes, then no. This is aimed at the beginner, so is kept simple.
Just what I needed, thank you Roger.
Good video Roger! So many people don't understand how useful absolute coordinates are!

I’ll bite, what are absolute coordinates?
Thank you. Perfect timing. I was just about to engrave a whole bunch of wood slices today.
Use the "Array" tool. On the left side menu with the 9 dark squares. It's quicker. Great video Roger!!!
I use that as well. Just wanted to show another method.
You're awesome. Thanks for all the info.
Thank you for this video, trying to figure all this out 🤗
Been easier using an Array to create the 9 tiles first Roger.Great video.

Make sure focus is correct and the lens is clean. Some types of MDF can be very difficult to cut. Depends on manufacturer.

Wouldn't it be easier to use grid array ?

Everyone else has said to never leave a laser unattended because it may get stuck and start a fire.
That is true, and I am always in "the area", but I do not hover over the lasers while they are working. Also, ceramic tile does not burn.
