Can't wait for Josh to encounter Hedge Mommy and her sister down the line. Gentle progression tip as consolation, the sandbox is the key to an easier introduction to the upper yard. Gear, tools and Burgle related exploration best experienced at night. Bonus tip: Make sure to read the whiteboards in the labs, not everything is set dressing. So happy to see them learning to survive the Garden Life.
18:28 oh josh i relate with your panic so god damn much for i got bit by a black widow when i was younger... that spider's venom will fuck you up physically and mentally !
Pro tip: Collect quartz and marble rocks to upgrade your gear and make it's durability and damage/resistance increase :) The quartz is brown and angular, while the marble is blue/purple and soft and lumpy.
Okay I'm serious when I say this--I've been off the wagon for a bit, being super ill and I freakin MISSED watching your videos. You have such a distinct editing style and your chemistry with Cotton is so fun and goofy and AAAA. Thank you for providing these little slices of joy. :D
A couple of things, there are Mosquito’s in that area now because more spawn into the game when you hand in the first super chip. You cannot collect the webs that the spiders shoot at you, and you also really need a roof. The best armor early game and good for most of the game is Ladybug armor, it has a good set bonus. Usually, you first raid is red ants, but you are off the ground, so you got Mosquito’s.
"Why a Black Widow Though" Why NOT have a black widow spider in Grounded xD also I have a big feeling the spiders will remain Josh's public enemy #1 at least until the next ocean game is voted in.
Oh yeah Josh and Cotton, Insects will every once in a while move about the garden. They are not completely locked to one area, so that Mosquito attack from the start of the episode... it will happen again.
31:36 Not really. The wolf spider in the game (the dotted wolf spider) is about 22mm and the black widow in the game (the southern black widow) is about 19mm.
Raids are probably the most annoying part of the game, but there are ways to mitigate it. Different bugs have certain places they can be found or places they consider their territory. When you invade these spaces and start murdering them, you'll receive a notification that they are "aware of your presence". You will then receive two more if you continue what you're doing, the last of which being "They want you gone." Once this happens then the next time you enter your base you will be raided by the closest locals to which you have pissed off. Once you deal with one raid, everything resets until you anger more insects. The ways to deal with this problem are as follows: 1. Build an expendable base with chests/crafting benches for the enemies to target. That way you can try and make sure your main base doesn't end up under attack. 2. The much more favorable option is something you can build later upon obtaining the black ant lab's burgl chip. Allowing you to summon whatever raid you want so long as you have parts relating to the enemy you want to harvest. Not only resetting any raids but also helping you grind materials.
Tips of the day. Tip#1 over by the milk carton in the rock wall, there is a hole that leads to a lab that needs a bomb to be opened. In the lab, there is a weapon that looks like a robot arm, and it does lots of damage and has an aoe attack. There is also a trinket in the lab where if it is equipped and you use a Rotten weapon, there is a chance while attacking it will let out a poisonous cloud, weakening enemies and poisoning them. Tip#2 The black Widow is so powerful it is stronger than the first few bosses you fight. But it does drop materials needed to make one of the most powerful armor sets in the game. Tip#3 till you have weapons with elements on them (spicy, fresh, salty, or sour) focus on what weapon type the bugs are weak to as if you use their weakness against them you will do significantly more damage to the bugs than if you didn't. Tip#4 Killing lots of red ants makes more red ant eggs spawn. Tip#5 When fighting bees, if you hit them in the eyes with an arrow when they are asleep, you will do lots of damage to them sometimes, even 1 tap them. Tip#6 break the egg sacs in the Hedge as you can get lots of bug parts like ladybug heads, stink bug parts, stink bug gas sacs, bombadier parts, boiling glands, and Gnat fuzz. Tip#5 There is a setting called Arachnophobia, and if you turn it all the way up, the spiders will look like marshmallows with 2 eyes.
Idk how far ahead you guys are from when this is posted, but perfect blocking IS like 80% of the combat, if you're not doing it, you're gonna have a bad time. The payback raids happen when you kill enough of one thing to make them mad, the general mosquito attacks are just you built too close to where they spawn.
Well rhis episode was probably the best. Started with the realization of how bad of a spot they picked for the base to than feel the annoyance that we all felt with mosquitoes. Than likes everyone they encountered that black widow because nobody ever doesnt go in the upper garden to early in the game. Just to than go to the table before the doing the haze. Btw two things you missed. On the spot up the edge where you reached the black widow there is a lab hidden a bit more up with something pretty important in. Second on the wall of milk cartoon you can find something hidden in it.
Submerging your character completely in water immediately looses agro in grounded as long as its a ground bug, but not water bugs. If it doesnt leave it'll re-agro though.
I build my base on the root next to the lamp on the tree nice area except the multiple wolfs spiders I boxed in the ones in the tree but the damn game spawned more
I genuinely feel like if I was playing this game and a bunch of mosquitos showed up and just destroyed my entire house I would probably quit the game. It's one thing for them to maybe make one hole in the house and then try to get in and kill you, but this seems insanely excessive.
How, from the pond to the widow? Oooohhhh that one, yeah, avoid those and stockpile materials for your chosen gear, there are 3 bw's in the game, high rank spider stuff, but...
Thanks for the forecast! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
If I had a penny for my thought.... I wonder if there's some kind of base location with a research hut, permanent stone wall defences, a natural mote, flat stone flooring, close to crow feathers/items for smoothies and entirely no bug foot traffic.... Aw well 😊
(Technically) 226 Proobs in and there's still no Fish or Not Fish Documentaru 🐟🦀🌙🐌🐢 We've recruited a Spider to detain and prepare you for interrogation on this abject failure
There are 5 in total i think undershead by the stepping stones there's one near the beginning of the upper yard and one near the back side by the chair that's all the ones I've found
226 EPISODES SINCE THE FISH OR NOT FISH DOCUMENTARY PROMISE, NOW CONFIRMED FOR APRIL 2025! If it is not given to us by then, we shall shrink Josh down and force him to run for his life from a black widow until he learns that his chosen base location is unsuitable due to its proximity to powerful spiders and under threat by roving bands of mosquitoes! Until the perfect block is consistently used and mastered, this shall remain your experience!
I don’t deserve to say this that’s probably not a good spot to say it ever But I want it to start a TH-cam channel and I play grounded so can I be in one of your videos please

This series needs a proper playlist I feel like I'm missing episodes 😭
Y'all figuring it out that ya picked a shit spot to set up a base xD?
Pro tip: Collect quartz and marble rocks to upgrade your gear and make it's durability and damage/resistance increase :) The quartz is brown and angular, while the marble is blue/purple and soft and lumpy.

Or, better yet, ocean spider game :)
@@tailsBOOM1992 they're basically already playing it. because there's Diving Bell Spiders in the pond.
Been waiting for this moment, just wasn't expecting it to happen so soon lol
Oh yeah Josh and Cotton, Insects will every once in a while move about the garden. They are not completely locked to one area, so that Mosquito attack from the start of the episode... it will happen again.

At 17:22 you missed a Burgl chip
I’m actually here early.. 2 minutes after posting!!!
I feel honoured XD

0:01 you may be wondering how we ended up in this situation.
They just went through it this episode. 🤣
Dandadan mention 16:06
OH MY GOD WHAT A START
The thing is that the wolf spiders almost never go out during the day but here u turn the corner
Wolf spider
Ah, I love the chaos that is bugs raiding your house randomly
I build my base on the root next to the lamp on the tree nice area except the multiple wolfs spiders I boxed in the ones in the tree but the damn game spawned more
Yeah, I learned a while ago that most games have workarounds for blocked off spawn locations
Grounded makes my day better
I genuinely feel like if I was playing this game and a bunch of mosquitos showed up and just destroyed my entire house I would probably quit the game. It's one thing for them to maybe make one hole in the house and then try to get in and kill you, but this seems insanely excessive.
master the parry and you will never die
Methinks you are entering areas a little above your pay grade
I remember the first time I found a black widow, I killed it with only tier 2 equipment.
It took 7 hours of straight.
Yo why you staying on the house while fighting? :P
Between the spiders and mosquitos you may want to relocate your base.
Fun fact wolf spiders and red backs are about the same size but one is WAY more venomous than the other
Ah almost forgot, Its Grounded Lets go!!!
Because they are cool.
How, from the pond to the widow?
Oooohhhh that one, yeah, avoid those and stockpile materials for your chosen gear, there are 3 bw's in the game, high rank spider stuff, but...
Technically 5 widows, one doesn’t respawn though. There’s cave, castle, toolbox, brawny boy bin and undershed
@Nightmare41919 ah, even more terrifying
Thanks for the forecast! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Question for the comments. Now that they have explosives, can they access the secret berry lab? Or do they have to beat the black ant lab first?
If I had a penny for my thought.... I wonder if there's some kind of base location with a research hut, permanent stone wall defences, a natural mote, flat stone flooring, close to crow feathers/items for smoothies and entirely no bug foot traffic.... Aw well 😊
All in favor to petition for a base moving episode say I… I 😂😂
thats a huge nope!
226 proobs without the 🐟 or no 🐟 boc
That's a new art style?
Fun fact you’ve already been to the upper yard
did they find out that every weapon can perfect block?
Is it me or have the built there base in a not so good place lol
(Technically) 226 Proobs in and there's still no Fish or Not Fish Documentaru 🐟🦀🌙🐌🐢
We've recruited a Spider to detain and prepare you for interrogation on this abject failure
So....which of them is the pro and which the noob because it's really hard to tell.
I think there are 2 or 3 black widows
There are 5 in total i think undershead by the stepping stones there's one near the beginning of the upper yard and one near the back side by the chair that's all the ones I've found
