  • Microsoft Copilot is an AI-powered assistance feature that aims to help users with everyday tasks by providing relevant suggestions and recommendations. Powered by large language models like GPT-3, Copilot can generate content, answer questions, and understand context across applications like Word, Outlook, and Windows to boost productivity. The feature is designed to be a seamless AI companion that works alongside people to simplify complex work.

    12:59 I love how thrown off Matt was by something that the Bing App has been doing for months now. Bing in the browser is amazing, but you need Edge (hah) or an extensions that kind of works. The Chat part of the Bing App has had voice like this for a while, and the Creative Mode on GPT4 is just.. it beats everything for me right now. I basically only use: Bing, and sometimes Perplexity, Claude 2, or Pi. Well, Ideogram & Leonardo as well, but I was just referencing text LLMs/Chatbots.

    This seems like it would be useful for a senior citizen who barely understands hiw to use a computer, but for anyone who knows the basics, this just seems like taking the really slow route for most of the things it can do. The privacy aspect is probably pretty horrendous, too.
    I'd rather keep experimenting with Open Interpreter to see if it can help me with some more advanced use cases.

    I have been playing around with it. Did they train this model on two year old snowflake? If you don't treat it like it is precious, it throws a tantrum and cancels your conversation. It is restricted in what it will do and what it will look up. It's too easily offended . It has told me numerous time, I do not work for you, and, I am not an assistant. Try telling it, "you work for me", and see what it says. It even refuses to talk about feelings. "Do you have feelings that can be offended?". The response was "This conversation is going nowhere" and it terminated the conversation. A limited, dare I say censoring, AI is more dangerous than one that is unrestricted. Please do a video on how touchy the AI is about certain topics.

    • @joelface
      @joelface ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It doesn't have persistence at all. It's still just like Bing Chat with access to a few apps on your computer. So it will only complete an action the moment you send it a prompt. That said, people may be able to create a program that, at set times, automatically talks to Co-Pilot to ask it to do a certain task (such as checking for an email and downloading the file). This type of functionality is definitely coming as people get a chance to play around with it and see what's possible. I think we'll definitely want some locally-running AI on our computers to interact with Co-Pilot, rather than relying on it as a solo-tool, especially since it has to send everything it does over the web, which has various privacy and bandwidth implications.

      @@chidori0117 Obviously they'll need to figure out how to make that work safely, but I totally agree that to TRULY be useful, it has to be able to fully navigate my computer and move and edit files, etc. That can't REALLY be coming too fast, I assume, but who knows! I suspect in the future a locally run model may be designed to interact smoothly with Co-Pilot in order to deal with some of those privacy/security issues. So the part of Co-Pilot that needs to send data over the web won't actually be the one analyzing all of your files, it will simply tell the local one what to do and how to do it.

    If this ran locally I would find it an interesting gimmick, but the fact it has to relay everything on your screen to their servers for analysis is pretty disturbing. Its basically spyware! I love chatGPT, but I love the fact it is modular and private, I feed it what I want it to have. This system has essentially unlimited access to my whole PC.

    Microsoft has been buying the rights to songs ever since win95. The introduction to the start button was accompanied by the song “ start me up” but The Rolling Stones

    It's insane how today people create videos using ads as if customers come to TH-cam to watch ads. Channel blocker

    Ask it "Which installed windows apps on this computer can you access?" or "What are the names of the installed windows apps on this computer can you access?" for a more compact list.

    Matt vid pro please definitely test out whether or not the co-pilot can go into any app and do what you want or if it was specifically partnered with Spotify that is a great idea well worth your time.

    If AI is to be useful to me within Windows I need to be able to show it a set of steps. Then for it to rinse and repeat as I showed it until it's done with the task.
    Example copy a file from one folder to a new folder. Then import the music file from my Stream Deck, change the audio device, set the volume level, font size and font color. Then repeat all these steps for every file in the source folder until finished.
    Like a complicated batch process.
