We try to warn them but they think we are old grannies who think we know everything. Sadly, experience is the best teacher. We all learn the hard way. Co-dependency can be good and bad… you pick your struggle, but never let your struggle be a man. Your commentary was quite objective and I love that! Another thing is also money from parent's estates. I had a friend in varsity always loaded but she wasn't working and her mom had deceased. Her mom had been a teacher for decades. I only realised later that it was her mom's pension funds she got. So there's so much more to people's income than we think!

Then list the average expenses for someone of her caliber, the mortgage repayments (as we know she's paying her own bills), her beauty expenses, clothing (and don't say she can rely on free clothes), her costs as an employer under the Mihlali brand, food, rentals for her offices, marketing costs etc and then repeat your statement again. It's expensive to create the illusion of being Mihlali and often times one will need money outside of one's work to keep it up. I can believe Bonang funds her own life style, from the alcoholic beverage, to hosting big events, modeling, tv show, etc but Mihlali just doesn't have the proof on paper

Another perspective is that content creators could work like tenderpreneurs. When you get paid R40k from brand A, you pay rent in advance. Brand B next month pays you R30k you do the same with your car. I don't know but I'm looking at it from different angles also 🤷♀️
Compare the lifestyle of single versus married influencers you'll will see the singles lives a totally different lifestyle
As much as I love being a TH-cam creator, I don't aspire to be an "influencer" not that there's anything wrong with wanting to be one, Personally all I want is to build a community where we talk about things that will be beneficial to us as women, things that will help us live our best lives without being dependant on a man to provide you with a certain lifestyle because we are definitely more than capable of providing ourselves with a comfortable lifestyle, I still work Full time and I'm very big on building multiple streams of income, I actually did a video on that a couple of weeks ago, I'm saying all this to say that be smart with your money, plan properly if you are intending on quitting your job, I'm a big advocate for that, make sure you have other streams of income that will still earn you money while you are pursuing your passion.

Owami your make up is on point my love. This topic is also much needed. We cant compare influencers who hardly post etc. to ones who are in a two or three income household. Its not feasible to be unboxing luxury brands on a daily basis. love Mpoomy and her podcasts as well as what she stands for. With this being said, not every influencer is for me.
