Geoff....and Queensryche, Thank You for this song. It saved my life..Back when Promised Land was released I was going through a very dark period of my life. I had no reason to continue living...your music was the only uplifting thing in my life. The encouraging message that is this song is very powerful. I drove around at night listening to this song over and over as well as "Another Day" by Dream Theater...searching for a reason to live. I found that reason in this song. Thank you.
One of my favorite songs from Queensryche. Geoff really sings his heart out on this one! But then again, he sings that way on EVERY song! One of my biggest inspirations both as an artist and as a person.
This song caught my attention many years ago! The lyrics score and just everything about the song fits me to a T! Geoffe Tate you and your band mates are my idols! Queensryche ROCKS
I have liked these guys since the first album. I really like the fact that they try so hard to make the live shows so good. Most bands half ass it live. Especially the vocals. This is if they even remember their own lyrics. Q-ryche does rule!
They still cant. Geoff is a master even without the old high notes.sure, he had an incredible range but still does in a lower range if you get what im saying. I think he should put all that QR stuff away and be Geoff Tate and not QR.
Tate was probably one of the most technical singers at his peak. No doubt about that. Easily one of my top 5 singers of all time along with David Byron.
Dang Saw them a Few Times .. Dang NEver Played this .. :/ They Played the NEW CRAP from the Stupid Soldier Album Crap .. Man what a DOWN FALL .. They WERE so So AWESOME !! ... :/ .. Great stuff .. ABSOLUTELY Love this Song ..
brainchild yes but Chris and Michael were the ones that turned the story into such a powerful musical masterpiece!as for hear in the now frontier,i think they were not working as a unit and Chris wasn't concetrated on the band!anyway, the classic lineup together can make magic,so i'm looking for a reunion
@hyelandre Geoffs performance of this song is epic, i can realate to you,,,,,,this song can give you the strength to face your life and deal with things, another day by dream theater is a great song, my song by Dream Theater is Space dye Vest-its good therapy for the mind
Even La Torre agreed that; He said song like silent lucidity and similar songs are hard to sing because it needs emotional things. I want geoff try out this song again... I recently realized that promised land is masterpiece!(some people will not agree but they will change their mind when they listen it for several times;)
@KelMaster Construction How people can even compare them is a fucking joke. I mean, Torre is a good singer, but miles miles away from what Tate was at his peak. Tate at his peak would put him in the same league as Halford, Dio and Dickinson. Think about it, would you ever put Torre in the same league as those three singers? Yeah thats right!
@@harleyrider76 tate burned an opportunity. Dickinson in his biography actually talks about a "three tenors" metal version with Dio and Halford, then Dio died and Tate was a possibility not realised because of personal issues
yipman1976 Tate was a baritone vocalist and not a tenor so the words Dickinson said about him having wanted Dio instead of Tate doesn’t bother me too much tbh. Tate is a better vocalist, technically, and of vocal range, than Dickinson ever was, if we compare their peaks. I’ve never liked Maiden either, I’m more a Priest fanboy.
@rknrll1 HITNF made me realize the once progressive, edgy and thought provoking days of QR may be at an end...Even with Chris something didn't feel right about the dramatic change in style on HITNF. Once I heard Chris had left I knew ever returning to their roots was probably never going to happen... I enjoyed some songs since and most of OM2, but for me Promised Land was their last real album.... Wish they could have kept progessing and challenging our minds!!! RIP QR

Esta canción inunda cada parte de mi alma.
All my life they said I
was going down,
but I'm still standing,
stronger, proud.
And today I know there's
so much more I can be.
This song allways make me sit back and think. To be a better and postive person. And take chances in life. A timeless classic .
THE VOICE!
This is a legendary song. Most bands won’t go deep into their emotional framework. Geoff Tate and queensryche are the gold standard
This album and tour changed my life forever. It was the best and worst time of my life, a time I shall never forget.
At my lowest, it is the only song I have ever played 20 times in a row. Lots of memories...

Geoff in his prime. No one could touch him in those days
They still cant. Geoff is a master even without the old high notes.sure, he had an incredible range but still does in a lower range if you get what im saying. I think he should put all that QR stuff away and be Geoff Tate and not QR.
already past it
his prime was 84-89
I have been waiting forever for someone to upload this song live with Chris on the piano. So thanks a lot for this !!!
Geoff Tate is a golden throated god.The lyrics are sheer poetry. The music has never been quite the same without Degarmo.
This is one of my favorites by Queensryche. Crank it up and sing it loud!!
First concert I ever attended, what a time.
Incredible. My favorite QR song, ever.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING,😎 GEOFF TATE IS ONE OF THE GREATEST SINGERS PERIOD!

His thoughts are mine...I love this song...I need to listen..

Wow, he was able to sing this difficult song at the end of the show?
incredible
timeless song, one of the best ballads-indeed,we need Chris back!
Respect to Chris DeGarmo. Happy Birthday! 6-14-63
Magic.
tate was such an advanced virtuoso, let's hear la torre attempt that
Yep. That's Chris on the piano. He composed this song.
sweetnothing1977 Chris wrote and co-wrote almost every song. Once he left, everything changed. They lost that “it” factor.
Dang Saw them a Few Times .. Dang NEver Played this .. :/ They Played the NEW CRAP from the Stupid Soldier Album Crap .. Man what a DOWN FALL .. They WERE so So AWESOME !! ... :/ ..
Great stuff ..
ABSOLUTELY Love this Song ..
epic... 10/10

♡♡♡♡♡♡
Tate was a Singer, La Torre is just a good scremer...nothing more

A minha favorita
Actually the music industry left them alone because they couldn't capitalize on them.

Really great! But Delear's performance in Someone Else is great too :)
It's a shame the sound quality isn't better.
QUEENSRYCHE IS NOTHING BUT A COVERBAND WITHOUT GEOFF !!
Great one! How did you recorded this back at 1995?
--------------
Genial! Cómo grabaste esto en 1995?
This song erased the fear of failure and replaced it with fixing two way radios on 911 systems.
is that Chris playing the piano?
Chris DeGarmo
Yes
