Hi Matt, you should definitely be doing these types of rebuilds utilising the different era’s. Watching a Kobe Shaq lakers rebuild or a post Jordan Bulls rebuild would be so cool.
Absolutely love these mini series type of videos. So sick. Gives us the chance to see the longer rebuilds occur but also making it seem like “eras” for each video. W Matt.
Why trade Jimmy so soon. Doesn’t make sense considering he was one game away from the finals last year. The heat are in win now mode so why add role players or actually play the young guys than trade for an unproven RJ and keep KL and DR? 8th seed
Chill bro. The Kicks are typically a team that would go all in trading their young talent for a regressing player. I don’t know about the the Pistons trading for 3 centers though😂
Your looking at it from the perspective of it only being the first video opposed to jimmy being in mia for 5 seasons and being 33 years old. Best move was to trade jimmy while his value was at its highest rather than keeping him to fight for a 5th seed and NOT win a ring.
@@hattyhat okay I can understand that but at least got a young great defensive player and some picks if you’re gonna do that. And the heat wouldn’t trade jimmy to the Pat Reily would make sure he’s with a contender
This format of 3 long episodes is perfect. I stopped tuning into the longform franchises because there wasn't enough happening in each 15-20 minute ep. Definitely do this with Eras! Would love to see a 00s Nets franchise.
From a heat fan, thank you bro. Management does not know what to do with this organization and we should probably focus on Herro and Bam but they make us focus on Butler. Hope you see this comment!
Duncan Robinson’s final yr is only like half gtd. $19,888,000 but only $9,888,000 gtd. It is a player option so he can opt out, but I assume MIA would waive and stretch him (like 3.3M/yr for 3yrs) or they’d dump him to someone since that team can waive him for $9,888,000. So ya obv it’s a horrific contract…but they can prolly dump it in 24-25 since a team can waive him for $9,888,000 in 25-26 and not have to pay the $19,888,000 so it’d be way cheaper. Also the TV $ starts flowing in 25-26. It won’t be one massive like 35% cap spike or whatever, but they’ll smooth it to where it’ll prolly have the cap go up like idk, at least 10% 3 straight years or something. So MIA can prolly trade him in a big trade like after 23-24 as salary filler and they’d have to attach extra for sure, but not like it would be now. If they wanted to trade Duncan and an expiring for Bojan at this deadline, they’d prolly have to give up a lot. Bojan is gonna fetch a 1st, then it’ll take AT LEAST a 1st to get off of Duncan. It’d prolly have to be like Duncan, Dedmon, 2023 unprotected 1st, then they owe OKC a 1st so the next 1st they could move would be 2028. So ya I think it’d have to be Duncan, Dedmon, and 2023/2028 unprotected 1sts. And I still honestly dunno if DET would even do that lol. Especially bc Miami always seems to be good so you’d rather have picks from worse franchises. Like I think if BKN offered DET Joe Harris and their own 2028 unprotected 1st they’d do that since Harris only has one more yr left on his deal. Went on a tangent but ya that Duncan deal is only partially gtd for $9,888,000 in the final yr. 2K seems to not be able to do partial guarantees.
As it stands, gotta just keep building around Herro RJ Bam Saddiq. That’s the core. I’d look to move Jerami bc of his age, move Boucher, and upgrade at PG if possible. Yurtseven is cool at backup 5, DSJr backup PG is fine as long as he doesn’t regress. But ya it’s Herro RJ Saddiq Bam 2-5, DSJr and Yurtseven off the bench…then everyone else I’d prolly look to move unless I’m missing someone good and young. I think you can upgrade on Tre. Maybe start Saddiq at the 4, and trade Jerami and Tre for a starting PG and a good bench guy.
I do love these rebuilds. It inspired me to get back in to them. I ran a Nets rebuild, ran 2023 the way it was and lost, so 2024 I kept Simmons and Kyrie, but traded KD for Scottie straight up. Figured it was decently realistic since Scottie has dropped majorly from his rookie year, and the Raptors get KD to try and win now. Won that year vs the Pelicans.
Would you ever consider making a video where you go through explaining how contracts, salary caps, and all that sort of stuff works. I never understand it when I’m trying to play 2k myself
Enjoying the series alot, but slightly worried that in each series you have hopped in more and more, and those are kind of artificially helping beyond building the teams, and taking away from the realism. Keep up the good work, but I would personally enjoy it more if you hopped in only in non key or elimination games if you do, so they don't influence the whole playoffs.
Why do you not mess with the touch tendency as well? If you want your best player to shoot more than you'll also want them to get more touches. Or like doing role players who shoot alot could get an 80 shot and 70 touch tendency
you should look through more tendency like the step back 3 jumper tendency if it’s super high you should lower it by at least half on the players that have it super high a lot of tendency are like that you should look into i
I prolly would’ve just ran it straight up with Jimmy year 1, maybe make a trade deadline move to try and get a little better. Then if you don’t make a deep playoff run, I’d trade Butler for a young guy maybe some picks. Then use Lowry’s expiring to get cheaper, maybe trade it for some 2nds and a couple smaller expiring deals that’d be easier to move. Basically get cheaper. Also 2K has the picks messed up. I get it bc they don’t go that far out…but MIA owns their own ‘23 and ‘24 picks. Then they owe their ‘25 1st lotto protected to OKC (if it doesn’t convey it becomes unprotected in ‘26). So if 2K didn’t mess up you could’ve used your 23 1st to improve at the deadline. Also once I blew it up I’d consider moving Herro. It’s super hard to build around him as a SG who can’t rlly defend. Trade away like Strus and Martin and all those role guys for picks. Then build around whatever you get for Butler, Herro, obviously keeping Bam, then should get a 1st each for guys like Strus and Martin. Then you should be way cheaper without Lowry, Butler, Martin, Oladipo (I’d trade him if he opts in or if it lets you sign and trade him for a 2nd or something) and if you have cap, ppl love to come to Miami in FA.
That Lowry trade could've went through. Sometimes players who are higher overall will have lower value. Coffey was 1 and a half and maybe another player from the clippers would've been lower
Day 10 of asking you to do a rebuild or you go back to the bird the magic area wait for an expansion team to come into the league and then take over that team and see how many championships you can win all the way up through the current era, you should do it as a franchise series type thing as well
Was thinking that maybe one video you can test the concept of increasing/decreasing shot tendency. Does it matter if you net the increases with the decreases (i.e. bump butler up 10 but decrease another player by 10). Maybe it has no effect but could be interesting if you compare that to a team where you bump everyone up and everyone down etc
Time to break out!!! Trade Kyle Lowry/Dewyne Dedmon plus 2 picks for Deangelo Russelle/Naz Ried,,,and Duncan Robinson/Omer Yurtseven for Nerlens Noel!!! Lets go heat nation!!!!
Traded Our best player in Jimmy for bum ass RJ? That’s crazy ngl could’ve gotten someone soooooo much better for him that was still young🤷 like we traded Jimmy before Lowry lmao
Use code SIXRINGS60 to get 60% OFF your first Factor box at bit.ly/3eKy2J3
robinson got that pay day crash, he'll turn it up like batum when his contracts up😆
Hi Matt, you should definitely be doing these types of rebuilds utilising the different era’s. Watching a Kobe Shaq lakers rebuild or a post Jordan Bulls rebuild would be so cool.
Oooouuuuu that’s a really really gd idea!
Ooo in that Era he should do an AI 6ixers and a Gilbert arenas Washington rebuild
He used to do that on SROS, his second channel. Was so good until his save got corrupted
Absolutely love these mini series type of videos. So sick. Gives us the chance to see the longer rebuilds occur but also making it seem like “eras” for each video. W Matt.
seeing this after they made the finals😭

Jimmy is fake tough

@@hattyhat okay I can understand that but at least got a young great defensive player and some picks if you’re gonna do that. And the heat wouldn’t trade jimmy to the Pat Reily would make sure he’s with a contender
Because he won a title with that trade!
Imo I think getting Porter Jr and Hyland would have been a much better fit for both teams, but good video nonetheless.
This format of 3 long episodes is perfect. I stopped tuning into the longform franchises because there wasn't enough happening in each 15-20 minute ep. Definitely do this with Eras! Would love to see a 00s Nets franchise.
These rebuilds are fantastic. Some of my favorite content from you to date as a long time viewer :)
you should get some trading sliders
"Dwayne Dedmon breaks his leg. That's fine." Damn bro 😂😂
😭😭
From a heat fan, thank you bro. Management does not know what to do with this organization and we should probably focus on Herro and Bam but they make us focus on Butler. Hope you see this comment!
love it. especially in 2025 second half move was spot on. cant wait for next episode.
always wait ur video, 3 years watching ur video
Next episode, see if you can sign an undrafted free agent and develop them as a bench piece like Miami is infamous for doing

we need a Neil o'Neal career simulation with a name like that he defiantly goated
Awesome vid SROS 👍👍👍
Forgetting how long Duncs contract was every year is top content.
Warriors franchise soon please, Matt!!
Loving the new format man - awesome content.

Jimmy reunited with Thibs yet again 😂
And we back appreciate the heat rebuild heat nation
this is one of my favorite series' on the channel keep it goingg
One of the best series on 2k recently
Love em keep it up Matt
How do I find scenarios from the current nba standings? I’m on PS5
Would you ever consider making a video where you go through explaining how contracts, salary caps, and all that sort of stuff works. I never understand it when I’m trying to play 2k myself

YOU HAVE TO RAISE BAMS SHOT TENDENCY. I know 2k isnt the same as real life but look how good bam is playing currently when he shoots more
I could just be dumb, but how do you get to this mode!? I always want to do this! 🙏🏻
you should look through more tendency like the step back 3 jumper tendency if it’s super high you should lower it by at least half on the players that have it super high a lot of tendency are like that you should look into i
What specific draft class does this guy use?
Clutch upload I had nothing to eat too
thank you bro please save us ion know how we go from a team that went to the ECF last season to dn entering the sweepstakes 🙄
Whats ur my league settings?
Does anyone know if putting a guy in the g league actually helps?
rj and mitchell robinson for jimmy was one of the worst trades ive ever witnessed
keep up the great vids man
You should turn on trade approval to avoid those trades that would never happen like klay getting traded
when did oladipo leave the heat in the vid? Im so lost
He literally says “spoelstra what is this minute allocation” when he is the one doing the rotation and minutes lmfao .
Love your videos, I think this series would be dope if you threw in the different eras (rebuild some of the old school teams in this format)
I prolly would’ve just ran it straight up with Jimmy year 1, maybe make a trade deadline move to try and get a little better. Finally a Heat rebuild
Is the 2023-2024 season for you on 134 mil salary cap? I don’t think you do the inflation right
I don’t think NBA teams realize taking on a bad contract is beneficial to them as it just adds more to the value of their side of the trade
You should go for big stars, and other roll players has goood defence. That's Miami Heat
Question six, are we getting all 30 teams done in this format? If so, sweeeet.
Haha maybeeee
@@Sixringsofsteel I’m sure it’s a tall order to do all 30, but I think I speak for all when I say we would really enjoy that!
THE MOMENT WE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR
Miami Heat legend Saddiq Bey
That Lowry trade could've went through. Sometimes players who are higher overall will have lower value. Coffey was 1 and a half and maybe another player from the clippers would've been lower
nice video! do a era rebuild too
gonna try the factor box out soon
Love it and love that you play some games :)

The heat own their 2023 pick, only the 2025 is owed to OKC
Let’s go herro and Barrett as the number 1’s back and forth
Tyler herro and bam the center piece of the heat
Since the trailblazers were 2 do them next please?
YESSS MY MIAMI HEAT!!! FINALLY
Also up bam tens and he’s a beast
yo are you playing on Real player ?

Hi Matt a cool idea would try to do this in the Kobe era I think that would be fun
Do a Chicago Bulls series next
Saddiq deserves a Max after this 🤣
Only a knicks fan would think RJ for butler is realistic
matt its time to do a team or 2 from the kobe/jordan era 😁😁😁
06 12 13 🔥🔥🔥
Nice Rebuilds
Do my 2023 Knicks😉😉😂🌃🗽😒😔
Miamiiiiii heatttttt
FINALLY ANOTHER FRANCIZE WAITING FOR AWHILE LOL
Knicks bias kicked in bc that’s not a good trade in anyway possible
Fix saddiq bey shot tendency
Do the raptors
You should think about spreading more the videos, just like you did with the Sonics series.
Factor doesn’t seem bad dude
Time to break out!!! Trade Kyle Lowry/Dewyne Dedmon plus 2 picks for Deangelo Russelle/Naz Ried,,,and Duncan Robinson/Omer Yurtseven for Nerlens Noel!!! Lets go heat nation!!!!
Traded Our best player in Jimmy for bum ass RJ? That’s crazy ngl could’ve gotten someone soooooo much better for him that was still young🤷 like we traded Jimmy before Lowry lmao
Make bam 4 Mitchell 5
It’s pronounced “Yoo-Ta Watt-an-Ah-bee” 😬
Changing shot tendency is cheating
Yoo
You overthink trying to be “realistic” so much. The NBA is far from realistic to say what wouldn’t happen
Watching you jump in and play is more stressful than when you simcast, you are terrible lol
Thanks 👍🏻
Absolute dog at playing 2K but GM legend 😂
Men i fucking love your rebuilds, but why when you are playing in the clutch u make too many mistakes!! Makes me feel really nervous 😅
