Concur she's pretty strong and she's going to irritate a lot of people. I have the Disneyfied Frog Lady sculpt that was doing the rounds so will probably give her a crack
I love her and love her model.
I cannot wait to have someone try and stall 8 turns to get BAMF'd on turn 8 to realise they cannot score 😜
I love the fact that, the way you will probably use her just make the loner trait anecdotal. Wich feels like "optimized" :D
I didn't mind the GW model until I saw the Greebo version. Oh wow, GW really need to up their game.
This is another strong player for salon being able to take away a tackle zone To hit the ball carrier is one thing but having jump on your means no one is safe. Plus with the guard and sidestep you can quickly level up slann which is amazing
I want stars in tournaments but any tournament match she is in is just going to come down to ‘can I remove her before turn 7 of my drive?’ ‘No oh well I better score and give my opponent 2 turns’. I want to see humans with Zug, Orcs with Varag and Elves with the Twins but too many of the new stars special abilities are just too good.
If you can afford her and Glotl your opponent is in for a bad time

her ability is only once per game and a range of 5 squares from her starting position. Apart from that she is an average star player with Disturbing Presence (helpful) which is not limited to her and guard + SS combo which is nice. No Block though so easily knocked down compared to most other stars and a lot of normal players. Not anything special Str or Ag wise either. If it wasn't for the 1 ability I doubt she would see the table top.
@@1RobW I agree, but that seems to be true of many newer Star Players: you get them for the one-off god power, hoping you don't roll a 1... It's kind of stale and uninspiring, tbh.

I started a forum chat on her special ability, and seriously there is a big split between players who think her special ability freezes the opponent ALL of their turn, and those who think her ability freezes them until they act act 'in' the end of their turn. I think the former. It feels like everything logical points to the former, except that the specific wording of the ability does imply (bizarrely) that the hexed opponent acts 'in' the end of their turn. Hell, one or two people were even fairly sure that their tackle zone is switched off all game! Many people think she's strong, but I think she's a fairly fragile star player who needs babysitting until her special ability gets used ... so how effective her special ability is is important.
The latter option (affected player can activate at the end of the turn) is the only way this skill isn’t broken.
@@Suiken44 Maybe (I personally think she's a fragile liability while you strain to protect your investment in her until she finds a moment to use her one-off power - I'd almost rather have a Wizard for a potential more powerful impact at 40k cheaper, and I never normally say star players aren't as good as Wizards etc). But we need to judge basd on the rules. The rulebook is very clear that the end of the turn is ONLY when either all eligible activations have happened, or when a turnover has happened ... and the rules specify no more activations can be taken after a turnover. So it's a complete catch-22. Also if you're right and she gifts her 'victim' with the ability to activate after a turnover, that would often work in their favour ... guaranteeing the +1 activation during their turn regardless of how soon they turn over.
@@Suiken44 It is gw writing the rules. Why would you think they have made a rule that is not broken? Personally I would say they lose a turn as they way it was read out. Basically a stunned result apart from if they are holding the ball it does not scatter from them.
I assume it means that if the opponent has some kind of ability to activate or affect opposition players then they can use that during their turn. Also clarifying that the tackle zone is back in effect during the opponent's next turn.
@@SaturnaliasOffspring The official errata now says "The player cannot be activated at all during their next team turn."
i think yenna has too much going on with that second model on the base, hopefullt it can be built easily without it

It's 2022, gw needs to step up their mini sculpting game. Disappointed considering the normal gw quality sculpts. But fun mini with Guard access (spell is nasty good)!
Star players are out of control in 2020. It’s really influenced the meta in a bad way. Estelle’s special rule is potentially game breaking and a terrible addition to the game. I don’t know how this stuff makes it past play testing.
couldn't disagree more, I absolutely love all the new star players and their unique abilities. Adds so many different ways you can build your teams, while before star players were mostly just there to fill in the gap between two teams with wildly different team value,
She is only armour 8. You can remove her easy
