@@jessicamoore3093 don't waste your money, go self directed. The financial advisors who charge you about 1% no matter if your portfolio goes up or down will also be replaced with AI. The top investment companies like Fidelity, Schwab, etc have fantastic tools and learning for the self directed investor. You just have to do a little bit of work but you don't need to be a financial expert to do super well on your own.
Dan still doesn't understand that Nvidia offers AI systems, not just a chip or chips. It has at least 5 years of technological lead over any competitor. The CUDA makes it a sticky business, and I don't think its market share is going to dip below 70% anytime soon, and the AI revolution is just at the very beginning. I would not be surprised if Nvidia becomes the most valuable company in the world
I doubt Dan knows what CUDA is. He'd never acknowledge about how it creates a moat because It would go against his negative over confidence and bearish confirmation bias and running theme qtr over qtr while NVDA keeps scaling 😂
Just because nvidia has CUDA doesnt mean other players cant and wont compete with Nvidia. Nvidia has deep expertise.. sure no doubt this protects the short-term. The internet was as much of a big deal, back than the best company with the biggest moat was Cisco their all time high didn't recover yet. Same in 3d printing, Cannabis, EV, Solar etc. Amazon had a crash of 87% and took a while to get back to even. This Doesn't mean hey don't recover or become the best in the class. Nothing goes straight up nothing.
Cisco split 7 times from 1990 to 2000 and reached 80 in March 2000 - then crashed 80% and 24 years later still a long way off its high. Most valuable company in the World back then.

the build out is more than 5 years. we have just scratched the surface. growth is in every single field simultaneously. this adds dimensions of growth not even mentioned. AI is 500 x growth more than anyone can imagine.
This is just a beginning for AI.....it is not just inference....They have to use GPUs for training and the training data will continue to grow....so many industries with private data are still not in AI yet...right now mostly big tech....this is going to continue for next 5 years....of course not going to grow at 100% every year but 30% CAGR for next 5 years is still reasonable.

Yes, there will be glut once the majorities of the AI infrastructures are setup, but Nvidia will be salivating on the profits that will be made on both the softwares and hardwares when all their vast customers are signed up in a forever loop cycles of subscription and upgrade package deals in order to get the latest AI premium services for their companies.
@keto6789 because its a boom and bust cycle. You don't need to train AI forever once there is a foundational model established and it becomes commoditized. The runway is not infinite, with that being said I think its possible for NVDA to run up to 5T at the end of this cycle (3T is my lower estimate). There will be 3 phases in my opinion. Training and inference, AI software development, and finally robotics. I think the hyper growth in NVDA is only needed for the first phase, but I could be wrong. I am not an expert in the field, just a software developer.

They are crazy exposed in every domain - I actually think their biggest future AI play is TH-cam - TH-cam is teh largest catalogue of media that only Google has access to do whatever it wants with it. First of all, You could lose it all and you could win it all. It goes both ways. Secondly, what works for A may not necessarily work for B and you should not be a bandwagon investor. A good number of folks are raking in huge 6 figure gains in this downtrend, but such strategies are mostly successfully executed by folks with in depth market knowledge.
It’s unfortunate most people don’t have such information, I don’t really blame people who panic cos lack of information can be a big hurdle. I’ve been making more than $25k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don’t have to do much work. It doesn’t matter if the economy is crashing, great CFA will always make good returns.

What is ROI on these AI chips? I suspect companies will soon realize its not near what they thought it would be. The "robots" are coming to take everyone's job never materializes.

I was sure last year would end terrible for me but I think Blcktken300 is spot on with what they do and how they do it. @@jessicamoore3093 don't waste your money, go self directed. The financial advisors who charge you about 1% no matter if your portfolio goes up or down will also be replaced with AI. The top investment companies like Fidelity, Schwab, etc have fantastic tools and learning for the self directed investor. You just have to do a little bit of work but you don't need to be a financial expert to do super well on your own.
Dan still doesn't understand that Nvidia offers AI systems, not just a chip or chips. It has at least 5 years of technological lead over any competitor. The CUDA makes it a sticky business, and I don't think its market share is going to dip below 70% anytime soon, and the AI revolution is just at the very beginning. the build out is more than 5 years. we have just scratched the surface. growth is in every single field simultaneously. this adds dimensions of growth not even mentioned. AI is 500 x growth more than anyone can imagine.
This is just a beginning for AI.....it is not just inference....They have to use GPUs for training and the training data will continue to grow....so many industries with private data are still not in AI yet...right now
mostly big tech....this is going to continue for next 5 years....of course not going to grow at 100% every year but 30% CAGR for next 5 years is still reasonable.

Yes, there will be glut once the majorities of the AI infrastructures are setup, but Nvidia will be salivating on the profits that will be made on both the softwares and hardwares when all their vast customers are signed up in a forever loop cycles of subscription and upgrade package deals in order to get the latest AI premium services for their companies.

@keto6789 because its a boom and bust cycle. You don't need to train AI forever once there is a foundational model established and it becomes commoditized. The runway is not infinite, with that being said I think its possible for NVDA to run up to 5T at the end of this cycle (3T is my lower estimate). There will be 3 phases in my opinion. Training and inference, AI software development, and finally robotics. I think the hyper growth in NVDA is only needed for the first phase, but I could be wrong. I am not an expert in the field, just a software developer.

Now the entire market, the entire financial system is working in the interests of Nvidia and a dozen other hypo-absorbers of AI.
Nvidia has created the strongest rally in the history of mankind with 10 trillion since the beginning of 2023 (major spurt since November), 1.5 trillion of which is sitting in Nvidia itself, it is Nvidia that will bury this idiocy.
Nvidia reported results that are expectedly strong, but don't justify the advance in the context of a capitalization run-up. A very detailed analysis of US company reporting will be given in March.
Nvidia is now generating 22 bln in revenue and 12 bln in net income per quarter. Meaning it is well on its way to a potential of up to 100 bln in revenue and 50 bln in profit for the year (the actual 12 months are 61 bln and 29.8 bln respectively)).
However, even with these results (they still need to be realized), the current valuation is about 3.5 times higher than the industry average.
In order for Nvidia's 1.8 trillion capitalization to reach the historical average for its segment, it would need to show about 350-400 billion in revenue and 100-120 billion in profit, which is obviously impossible - there are not that many consumers of AI products.
The fact that with what fierceness the market eats up any mention of AI indicates both insanity and deep insanity (similar things were already seen in the late 90s, but on a smaller scale). This is all well and good, but not at these prices.
I think Nvdia & Apple will be the cutting edge co's in AI.. Nothing lasts forever but remember both of these co's are genius enough to reinvent themselves or reinvent where we are headed. I agree for next few years it's AI.. & then as usual things w tech get smaller & better & it goes on...

Investors have just turned back the clock on the Fed’s tightening campaign and cast aside the Fed fears that ruled them for 15 months. It just gets very daunting to me when I’m sitting there looking at charts and trying to determine if i’m right or wrong! First of all, You could lose it all and you could win it all. It goes both ways. Secondly, what works for A may not necessarily work for B and you should not be a bandwagon investor. A good number of folks are raking in huge 6 figure gains in this downtrend, but such strategies are mostly successfully executed by folks with in depth market knowledge.
It’s unfortunate most people don’t have such information, I don’t really blame people who panic cos lack of information can be a big hurdle. I’ve been making more than $25k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don’t have to do much work. It doesn’t matter if the economy is crashing, great CFA will always make good returns.
