I don't shop Zara anymore except online. Where I live they remodelled the store which took about a year and now of course I don't know where anything is and it's not as shopping friendly as it was. Lighting is terrible throughout the store also. Thanks for taking the time while on vacation. 😊 I'm going to go online and see if the black top with the beads is available.
I often shopped when on business travel, there wasn’t much else to do on weekends over, etc. If I bought more than I could fit into my luggage, or the items would put my bag overweight, then the day before leaving I went to FedX, put the things in a box and had it shipped overnight to my home. Then, when I got back, my box of goodies would be waiting for me. I could also insure my purchases for their full value, whereas airlines don’t reimburse even a penny on the dollar for lost luggage contents. It wasn’t just clothes, I bought books and housewares, too. I liked to shop locally at my jobsites and found many treasures that way.

Those yellowish lights they use in clothes shops now really distort colors. Sometimes I’ll ask if I can take an item to an open door to check the color in natural light. Windows don’t always work, because they use those lights on the window displays, too. There was one shop I used to frequent where I had to take things constantly back because they weren’t the color I thought.

Had to laugh at your amazement at the number of winter coats in the Miami Zara. All the stores have to carry the same merchandise, but not many people in Miami want wool coats, hence they're fully stocked!

Fast-fashion fitting rooms are terrible. At an H&M we used to have here, the cubicles were less than 36 inches square. One couldn’t move without hitting something and couldn’t stand back far enough to get a decent mirror image. They had no ventilation and were about 90F inside, had only one small hook and no seat of course, and the lighting was ghastly. Children crammed into them, and the adults, too, were yelling. That’s one reason I love shopping at Nordstrom, the fitting rooms are spacious, well-appointed and quiet. There is also an assistant to get different sizes, etc., for the customer.
