In the mid-late 1980s a work mate of mine and his dad had a collection of roughly 70 mini bikes and scooters going back to the 1950s. Last i heard him and his kids were collecting and restoring them.
I'm 55 yrs old and while I have owned a motorcycle, never got a minibike. Feel like I still owe myself one. That is my mission to get one just for the fun of it.
A B&S gave me a scar for life but it was a Kit Kat that started it all. I believe they called it a suitcase mini bike. I remember my Dad took a duffel out of the trunk, my Mom said that he had something for me. I thought it was a set of junior golf clubs, but no it was a beautiful lime green Kit Kat. That started the whole mess and still going strong !
I would find a show like this very interesting indeed. I actually had most of my mini bikes in my second child hood with my sons when they started riding.
Iwanted a Taco 22 when i was 12 and begged my Dad. He came home with a Trojan 5hp minibike. Come to find out he hated mexicans so that was why i never got the Taco22. Go figure. Then when my kid turned 10 he and i rebuilr and restored a 69 Honda minitrail 50. He outgrew that pretty quick so i sold it as a basket case for $100 i got it free. and it did give us tons of fun.
Mine was a RUPP. It had the max. Headlight....shocks...tailight...chrome tank....3hp lawn mower tecumseh engine 🤣🤣🤣🤣 cost me $350. Great fun. But the cops could take it away if in the street.

I remember when I was a kid in the late 70's, looking in the back of the Sears catalog and dreaming about the mini bikes they used to sell.
