Please keep my wife in your prayers. She has myotonic muscular dystrophy. Her mobility and ability to walk has regressed over the past few years. Doctors cannot heal or cure her, but I know God can and will. Please make this a daily prayer request for her. It is hard, some days, to stay positive and to not worry about her situation. These last few years have been so crazy, the devil is really out to get me. It all started out by getting diagnosed with aml leukemia, from there we started chemo. Second round put me in remission, Dr's then said I'd be better off with a bone marrow transplant. I got to go home a couple months before the transplant. Went in for the transplant and then my mother gets admitted to the icu, her heart didn't want to work no more, I got out of the hospital and made it home, I was so lost. From there my wife filed for divorce and kept my daughter away from me for about 6 months. Through all of that I've managed to still walk by faith. I'm not sure why so much stuff had to happen for me at the age of 20 but I know God has major plans for me. Sorry so long. God bless all of you!

When I first heard this song in 2003 it was the year I thought my world was crashing. Short story long. My late grandmother was diagnosed with the same cancer that took Jeremy Camp's first wife and I felt like I would not make it without her. We lost her in 2004 and till this day I still Walk by Faith. Rest in Paradise Althea McClendon. Love you, Nanny.

yes, when His presence doesn't seem to be there, all the weight of the world falls on our shoulders, and we overthink, doubt, think He doesn't exist or doesn't care, like He is distant... happened to me more than once, and oh boy, those seasons are SUPER HARD! i'm just coming out of one... not there yet, but when i humble myself to get on my knees, His presence comes and the weight seems to be lifted. however, i have to do it more than once to keep persevering and fighting.

God is always good no matter what our circumstances are. hehe
In the past decade or so my grandma had a brain shutdown. The doctors said she wouldn't pull through. And one day they were shocking her brain after she flatlined and she came to life. Well after a week or so she got out of the hospital and came straight home and told me about The hand grabbing her and then she heard a voice tell her it wasn't her time and that is when they brung her back to life. She said after she came back to life she didn't know anyone but she seen angels by her hospital bed. One day when I was sitting with her in the hospital she looked in the corner of the room and said David tell your God and my God that me and my grandson follow him and have so much faith in him.

Music alone is not enough did you no Lucifer was a great angel was the minister of music made out of pipes to worship the lord God? He wanted it just to be music and also he changed started wanting to be worshiped and God removed him. So i would say music is great i love Jeremy camp me to but you also should get some of Gods word in you so you will have the armor of God and bind the words on your forehead and around your neck. Life has been very difficult for me as I lost my mom suddenly and unexpectedly then 6 months later my dad also unexpectedly and a few months later my only sibling, my little sister who was like my twin as we were only13 months apart in age… thankfully because of the Lord and the family He gave me, I was raised to know what the love of Jesus is by His word and by example. So my world is shattered but I know God is and always has been right there for me.. I pray for you that all your needs will be met. Know you are never alone.

I always pictured a music video for this song. Jeremy camp singing the song and walking on a street in a city basically destroyed with people running wild in the streets. That's portraying sin in the streets while one man (jeremy camp) has the courage to walk by faith and praise God to the highest even when there is such much sin around him.
Really feeling this song right now last Thursday my older brother died and through all my years in prison I prayed for him to be saved and when I paroled and got my life together I was still praying for his salvation and I never got to see him after 13 years but I prayed for his salvation and I got two chances to speak with him and the first I told him about Jesus 4 months ago and I can’t even remember his response but I find it amazing that through all those prison prayers and then my release God gave me the opportunity to minister to him for a brief few minutes before his phone died. Hoping he made a decision and I’m just struggling me and my brothers and sister…. This song is really touching me and has been even before his death but much more now. Praise the Lord for his Grace and mercy.

Heard this song growing up in churches but not until watching the movie, “ I still believe”, did I realize the depth of this song based on Jeremy camp‘s experience with his late wife. I cried my eyes out watching the film and then at the end found out it was a true story!

God's word says that i will write my words on their hearts and my laws in their minds who seek after Him. For this life is temporary, but our spiritual bodies are eternal, the devil will lie to you and make other ideas sound logical. But did you know that speaking in tongues which is a heavenly language, one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit given to Christians ONLY when uttered your logic processing portion of your brain is at calm and rest? Proven study verified. Those who spoken in other known languages the brain was active of processing, logic, reasoning and understanding, but when the spoken in tongues of the spirit it was at rest. Its not a made up output, its your spiritual language when you receive Christ and the Holy Spirit gives it to you, no one will know what you are praying, its designed only for communication between you and God. Even the devil doesn't know it. Hears it but doesn't know and the gives lies saying that's not real, its just babble or that its demonic in nature, to say that is to create an unpardonable sin in your heart. Be wise with your words and careful what you say, the tongue can give life or take life, can bless or curse. Heavenly Father cover them with the blood of christ and free them from the bondages and strongholds of the devils that have rights to be there. In THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST I BIND COMMAND ALL DEMONS AND SPIRITUAL PRINCES OF DARKNESS AND PRINCIPALITIES TO BE SILENT and CAST OUT in the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. HOLY SPIRIT FILL THE PLACES AS THE DEMONS DISPERSE. Lord God keep speaking it as one of your Children requests so that the the Spiritual Realm will here it where all will read this in JESUS NAME. You're still thinking the way the world thinks, you're saying the same thing that the doubting thomas had eventhough he was a disciple of Christ, he would not believe til he placed his hands into the places where the nails were driven in to his hands and the side where the spear was pushed into Him. Forget what you think you know, there's a battle going on over your mind, but i tell you this forget what you think you know, put away what the world has taught you, evidence is all around you but you won't see until you see it with a different mindset. You have to be willing to see it from your spiritual self not your physical flesh self. Or you will only see it as the flesh rather than the spiritual self. God created you but he's calling you to come out of the grave (the way the world thinks) to abandon your way of thinking and rely on what God has already done but that only comes from when YOU make a conscious decision to seek him. You won't find him if you are bringing your old way of thinking, when you become baptized after accepting Christ you become a NEW creation the old is put away and the new is what opens yourself to hear and receive the knowledge and wisdom of God. Those who live in their own ways will not find God, they will diligently seek him but won't find him until they surrender to him. When you confess, repent and accept Christ you WILL see Him, you WILL know Him. But until you do the devil will deceive you and right now your mind is being battled over and i rebuke every negative statement that the devil rises up in thought. Test it, God is of love, power and a sound mind, God doesn't give us those negative thoughts and rebuttles, that's the advarsary who whispers in your mind to discredit there being one true living God by proof, God says come to me, and I will give you new understanding, new knowledge, new wisdom and when you seek me through Jesus Christ, you will find me. Draw near to me and i will draw near to you. But its ONLY through Christ you will find Him.

Let's not turn this into a silly debate. Jeremy Camp most likely wrote the song about his dead wife so that he could release it to the world and hope that it also touches and helps someone else going through similar troubles. His influence, I believe, came from the Holy Spirit. Both are right in my eyes. I'm happy to hear that this song touched you. Jeremy Camp is am amazing Christian Song Writer/Artist.
