I was overthinking it when I started over 3 years ago. I took a year off and now back on in a new way. A way in which I am not overthinking it anymore now. Before I was acting too much on my channel, now I am more myself. And yes, I am a gen x too.
With many things in life, "overthinking" has often been used as an excuse to not begin something, and as an excuse to not change/evolve. To stay in the familiar, "(dis)comfort" zone.
yep im a GEN X as well.. lol i literally think all that lol.. I'm now 55 and starting to think differently and more creatively than I have ever done in the past 8 years of my TH-cam life. the short break i had creating a few weeks ago helped me with my mental health and realise my future on TH-cam..

No one has ever told me that I'm too smart. Hahah 😂. But yea I definitely overthink many things including youtube but I'm getting better about just doing it when it comes to you tube. Have a good day !
Wow I learned a new word today: PERSEVERATE. I can’t say I’ve ever heard this one. Gonna go down a rabbit hole now and learn all about its uses. I’ve already learned this word is tied to psychology so I probably know why it’s in your vocab 😉
Do you really think the overthinking is a gen X thing? I think the hell out of stuff. I’m (1) year older than you. I wonder why this is the case. What was so different about growing up in the 80s I wonder. My (4) kids are Gen Z and only (1) of them shows deep gen X tendencies😂….Prob not a coincidence she wants to be a doctor.
