It's basically just a MacGuffin that can do whatever the plot demands at the moment. Its most frequently recurring abilities are letting Cranky turn into a hologram and occasionally seeing what was happening to other characters. Beyond that... it was really just something for the Kongs and Kremlings to fight over. Which is honestly plenty for a cartoon that isn't meant to be taken seriously, but it would have been nice to have known more.

Honestly, the only thing wrong with this show is the animation. And it’s not even THAT bad. The writing, voice actors, and of course music were amazing. If this was traditional 2-D like the Super Show or Sonic Satam, this would be pretty great.
I still dream of the day that King K. Rool can sing his section of this song... but holding a Smash Ball instead of the Crystal Coconut...
