      Thanks! It will be a while before I have time, but hopefully this summer… anything in particular you would like me to include in a video about that area?

      This area is not having a good press. The council just have neglected it. You really need to spend time looking around before choosing your area.

    Hi just found you! Great video's. I wish 20 years ago there was someone like you putting out information on Costa Blanca South. It took me about 5 years looking up and down the coast for a holiday home. I bought in Villamartin as I love the Plaza. for meals out. I have a villa overlooking the gardens in Verdarmar 3. After 17 years in that villa I am selling it now and moving to Pilar de Camporverde old part of town. Never been to the dry river bed there and will now after seeing your video on that. Thank you I have subbed 😀😀

      Thanks Yvonne! I'm glad you enjoy the videos. Thanks for the Sub! I'm sure you'll enjoy Campoverde, a bit of a change of pace from Villamartin and a lovely community. After so many years here I'm sure you don't need me to say this, but all the same, please be careful visiting the Rio Seco this time of year, it can get very hot down there!

    Thanks for such an informative video James 👍 👍👍 Your content is really unique and we will miss you in the coming months. Will definitely buy the book when it's out, even though I already bought a small holiday property in El Raso. Good luck in all your ventures and looking forward to the contents of the book and upcoming videos.
    Hope you get to 4K subscribers soon ❤

      Thank you so much, it really means a lot to me to read that. El Raso was a good choice. Nice and peaceful! (at least it was last time I visited a few years back!).

    Great video we bought in Torrevieja 3 years ago and love it but yes go back a few streets and it's really run down and the graffiti is shocking I really wish they could get rid of it

      Thank you! Everything goes through phases and I really hope that in a few years I'll be able to make a new video about Torrevieja and, with the huge TM development planned by the Salt lakes and the improvements to the promenade at Playa de los locos it will have a very different feel. The good bits of Torrevieja (and the good bits are great) are spreading and overall it's definitely going in the right direction

    very helpful, thank you! I'd love your view on Santiago de la ribero, El Campello, San Juan de los terreros, and San Javier. Those are also on my list to investigate when i come to visit next. I'm currently drawn to San pedro del Pinatar and Torre la horadada, and from what I've seen the others i listed all look lovely too. Tough decisions lie ahead, i think. In a good way.

      Thanks Tommy! I worked in San Pedro for a few years and got to know the Mar Menor area very well. It's on my list hopefully for later this year. Thanks for your message on the website. I'll get back to you during the week!

    Cool video. I see around la manga, Mar de cristal very cheap homes for sale, why is that it looks stunning yet still seems cheaper than the other areas you mentioned

    • @Spainunfiltered
      @Spainunfiltered  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks!
      Mar De Cristal and La Manga are on the Costa Calida rather than the Costa Blanca. The Costa Calida is generally cheaper, partly because it is less well known, the airport is much smaller and also the recovery from the crash was much slower. Check out my latest video for more on that.

      Thos particular areas are also very seasonal. They are very popular with holiday home owners from Madrid who tend to use their properties in August (when Madrid pretty much shuts down). For the rest of the year they are very quiet. With that in mind there are far less businesses and amenities available year round. Unfortunately the recent environmental problems in the Mar Menor have hit domestic tourism so beach properties are less in demand within that domestic market.
      You can get some stunning bargains around there and there are some pockets of areas where there is year round life, but if you were to search for property there go in the winter and the summer to get a real feel for the area and please check out my book for loads of tips about searching for, and buying property before you go.

      @@kerrikirshner Hi Kerry. It was written this year and released last month. Things change and also vary depending on your nationality and where in spain you want to buy so a lot of the book is dedicated to making sure you know how to ensure that you are always getting the right information. Quesada is great and fantastic value but I am baffled by how bad public transport is including a ludicrously small amount of taxis , who have ridiculous pick up rules. Anyone explain why or how pressure could be brought on the local government to change ? Asking for a friend ….nah it’s for me
