As an empty nester, be thankful for all that laundry because you are blessed and are in a season of life you will yearn for when your kids are on their own. I struggled with keeping up with the laundry for a family of five that included 3 girls. I miss those days😢

Having raised 4 kids i do know that these tips are very good but for my family at the end of the day decluttering the amount of clothes was the true game changer . Always enjoy your videos !

There is no need for the baking soda when clothes are mildewed. The vinegar works perfectly by itself. I use a rag and spray bottle (vinegar) to wipe down my washer, etc. I keep a basket of rags in my laundry room, so it’s easy to toss one in a load when in need to-saves time, money, and keeps the wipes from going in a landfill.

I fold as I’m taking out of the dryer. The last thing I want to do is ironing.
Ohhhhhhh I agree. Ironing is the bane of all things lol except cleaning out the fridge
Good tips. Cant get into the non folding routine. Other influencers have said that also. Would cause me anxiety.😢
Yes...everything is hung from dryer except pj's and undergarments
I’m some seasons of life I can “afford to fold” and it’s lovely. When my life is busier, not folding helps me a ton ( hint I still fold MY clothes, but shop skip the kids!!!)

Do you have a set number of clothing items for your kids? I have five, and I’m always wondering what is a good amount? Laundry is what I’m overwhelmed with right now in this stage. A breakdown of clothing for kids would be a cool video. We also live where we get all seasons and the kids get dirty in the farm lol.
We keep 8 every day play outfits. And 2 town outfits. And 2 dress up shirts per season for the holidays they can use with their nicer town pants. We also keep waterproof overalls for those extra messy days. The kids are in clogs 99% of the time. And in winter usually rainboots with socks for liners. ❤ But we want to invest in some of those durable fabric carhardtt overalls

My washing machine is broken 😢 waiting for a part. My sister is brilliant and is washing it for me but its such a pain. Can't wait to have my washing machine back.

I couldn’t not fold or hang my clothes tho. I like them to look organised in drawers or hung in the wardrobe. I even hang jumpers up.
With underwear (Garments) I fold the tops & bottoms together. So much easier.
I hang dry many of our clothes, Except towels, sheets (summer they dry outside) socks & underwear, it makes the clothes last longer and saves electricity. I like folding, it's relaxing to me. Keep wardrobes to a minimum is key, wash regularly but not enough clothes to pile up, as to get overwhelmed. Great tips, Candice!
I love the idea of a clothesline!!! We live next to 2 open fields and get tons of dust. But maybe I’ll try it this summer anyway!
Not me. I use my tumble dryer all through the year, including summer.
A lot of British people are obsessed about putting washing on the line. I can’t be bothered with all that.
I have a couple drying racks that I use indoors for the winter and hang clothes outdoors during the summer.
Most jersey clothes in the UK are marked 'not suitable for tumble drying' and unless you want tshirts and hoodies shrinking line drying is the only option.
@@catherinetweats8050 I only buy my clothes from M&S & they can nearly always be tumble dried.
Love these tips! We only have black socks the same brand/ type for each individual person. That way pairing is simple.

I do laundry once a week, but its only myself & my husband that I"m doing laundry for. When we had family living with us, they knew that on a certain day it was our laundry day. Loved the tip about the baby wipes to clean off the machines. Mine are in the garage, so they get their fair share of dust/dirt on them.
I feel like I use baby wipes for everything! Haha nice to have one laundry day a week that fits into your routine!

We deal with eczema and our dermatologist told us the half cap laundry trick to help with it. But I love the added benefit of saving money. 😂
I use those mesh bags for anything that needs attention after the washer. Stain treatment, air dry, might bleed onto other clothes, etc.
Oh a couple of my kids have had eczema too. I switched to free and clear and it helped a bit too!!
I love the paper towel tube dryer lint thing. I've been doing it for a few years.

I love these tips! I always learn so much from you, Candace! I also do laundry every day and the biggest change in my game was using one hamper by the laundry room instead of one in every room. It makes a huge difference in getting it done.

I’m over here snickering like I wish I could drop my clothes off for someone else to fold (I’m single lol). Clothes aren’t that bad tho. It’s when the cats mess up the rugs or linens…and then I put it off.
I use peroxide a lot (food and bio stains, odors) and color catchers.
Great tip for vacuuming the lint!
I started throwing out clothing today that was faded or not fitting well anymore
I have been using half the laundry soap for years
I used to use WAY to much by filling up the cap all the way!
I work every day Monday-Friday and my husband wears a uniform so once a week laundry works great for me.

Family of 3... I have to do laundry everyday...preferably 2 loads. Otherwise, I'll have laundry throw up 🤮.
Have cats instead of Children They have hardly any laundry
