I'm so happy you got into TNs!! I've been making stationery and TN videos for years and years so if you ever need any kind of advice or help - I'm here :)
i hope you'll share to us how your TN look like after your trip.. i love journaling too, but I'm into creative journaling.. love your videos Megan! 💚🩷✨️
so cute! i like to travel as light as possible so i usually just take with me a little sketchbook and one pen, and then travel journal when i get back! i collect every ticket, receipt and leaflet and take a million pictures so i can print them out at home and make like a cute lil collage haha
yay! so glad you're getting into traveler's notebooks! i love printing stickers on sticker paper for mine and i use kokuyo dotliner glue to stick in scrapbooking elements. so excited to follow your traveler's notebook journey!
Omg welcome Megan to the TN community! You set up your TN really good! I got a passport TN when I took a 2 week trip to Vietnam last year! I took my notebook and I also had a small pouch (One of the pencil pouches Radhia made) with a pencil, fountain pen, glue stick and a small travel watercolor set, like one of the artist tool kit ones! Everything fit well in my bag. And I would journal during the trip, like 10 minutes before I went to bed I would recap what happened in my day and glue in any receipts, or tickets or menues from the day.
So excited for your taiwan video!! I'll be travelling there early next year and would love some recommendations :) Also, I've dabbled with Traveller's Journal this year and have been loving it though when I brought it during my travel in Thailand, I didn't end up using it while I was there and did my notes after lol
I just came from a trip overseas and I brough my hobonichi AND TN with me. i mainly carried my TN for train/misc stamps and then used it as a food record, so I printed photos of my meals and saved meal tickets and receipts and attached them with washi tape that I rolled around old gift cards. I used my hobonichi for detailed day journaling and attached all other leaflets, receipts and ephemera. Personally, I like to try to journal the night of if I can, or at least start attaching my ephemera so I don't have to rely on my memory entirely. You do have to MAKE the time to journal though, so quiet moments in the hotel/cafes help a lot.
@@cheruwu omg thank you for your comment this is super insightful!! I’m currently on my Taiwan trip so this is very useful - I loveeee the idea of using ur TN for a food record that’s so cute! I’ve also been making the time to journal and rest time in the hotel/cafe is perfect to attach some ephemera!
When connecting inserts in your TN you can also use elastics! Travelers company sells a repair kit that has a bunch of elastic bands like the ones that you use to keep it closed. The elastic is a little gentler on the pages imo and you don’t deal with the rubber band twisting.
loving this cozy fall vlog 💕 it is so hot where i am so it doesn't feel like fall at all TT also the 九乘九 mention has summoned me, hope you have fun in taiwan!!
Omg please tell me you will be vlogging in Taiwan. I went there for the first time this year and loved it so much. I had no idea how great it was, and how nice people are there! And sewing? You are speaking my language. (Ok, I just got to the end, where you say you will be vlogging lol. I’m so psyched! Safe travels and have a great time!)
Your journal journey is similar to mine! I started with Hobonichi (for the past 3 years) but next year I plan on switching to TN, and I bought my first one a few months ago too. I got the same taiyaki and sakura charms too, haha. I'm so jealous that you live in NYC, so many cute stationery shops there, have you been to Nico Neco yet? Annnnd you're going to Taiwan which has all the best stationery, I'm excited for you! Aahh!
I'm so into Hojicha! I like Portal Teas. Since they have a tea house here, I order it as a tea latte :) I'm not sure if its a powder tho. You might need an electric grinder for that? Naturally, love all the kitties and atmosphere here 😻
When is the shop opening for the common folk? I have been wanting to buy something forever, but I cannot do Patreon and buy art at the same time. Thank you!
megan! what type of yarn did you use for your blanket? i've been thinking of acrylic worsted yarn, but i'm scared it'll be a bit scratchy. what are your thoughts so far? :0 as always, super cute video! ^^
heyy super happy you got into traveler's notebooks!! it's funny, i've also always been a casual stationery lover, but exactly this time last year i had same sort of awakening of *actually* getting into stationery and planning, and i've been consistenly using a TN with monthly+weekly for planning my weeks, a dotted insert as a commonplace book and the A6 hobonichi tucked in with the leather binding as my daily dairy :D anyway because you mentioned scrapbook-y tips and ideas, i wanna recommend the channel @Janethecrazy to you, she is a super inspirational artist and journaller, and she does loooots of scrapbooking with her TNs !! i've also totally copied her way of binding my inserts in scraps of paper bags or pretty papers, just to make flipping through the different booklets a little more interesting for the eye
ohhh love the idea of tucking in your a6 hobonichi inside the tn!!! so cute! and thanks so much for the rec! I'm always looking for more stationery/scrapbook TN videos :D thank you so much!!!

I bought so many toys from them when I was young haha
Maybe some sheets of glue dots? Might be easier to travel with. Thanks for the video! ^_^

i used the lily sugar & cream yarn! it's 100% cotton! it's not the nicest to work with tbh but I love things being cotton :D
@@MeganWangart omg thanks! can't wait to start mine
Ha ha ha I've been working on a crochet blanket for literal years, and I'm seaming with single crochet (a bit faster)

Your sweater was reacting strangely to the light and camera
