Hey, Tae! What a great new artist for your channel. Stevie Ray Vaughan is considered the G.O.A.T. to many many people for his playing. He passed away in the early 90's in a helicopter crash. If you want to check out more, he did 2 exceptional covers of Jimi Hendrix "Voodoo Child" & "Little Wing". For Little Wing I prefer the studio version just for clarity of the music but his live version was to die for. For Voodoo Child use the video where he is dressed all in black, & for Little Wing where he is dressed in this shirt with a wild pattern. I saw him in concert a few times, and he blew your mind each and every time. Another great by him is "Tin Pan Alley" ft. Johnny Copeland Live. He is credited for bringing straight blues back into the mainstream after it had declined the 70's.
@@s550danny nah man what hendrickx did on his guitar nobody else wâa do tjat shit, but stevie pls my man dont tell me you wanna play as fast as did guitar legend
FrowningIke you really can’t judge them like that. I love hendrix and I love Stevie. Stevie is my favorite guitar player because I can play his music. But Hendrix is, was and always will be the best guitarist this world has ever seen. I recommend you go watch “Music is Win” he has a video entitled “The greatest guitar player of all time” and you will see why, without anyone’s biased opinion, Hendrix is the best of all time.
You need to find the documentary that’s just SRV sitting around talkin’ and jammin’ with Albert King, who was a mentor of his. It’s long and worth every single second of time spent watching it.
He was so loved by us in the south I was raised with him he used to play in the backyard and on the porches of my Cajun community in Louisiana when I was young the saddest thing in the world was as soon as people started noticing him he was killed in a helicopter crash it broke our hearts beautiful young artist taken from I'm so glad you guys gets a little taste of our soul
Eric Clapton on SRV: We played on the same bill on his last two gigs. On the first night, I watched his set for about half an hour and then I had to leave because I couldn't handle it," Clapton admitted years later. "I knew enough to know that his playing was just going to get better and better. His set had started, he was like two or three songs in, and I suddenly got this flash that I'd experienced before so many times whenever I'd seen him play, which was that he was like a channel. One of the purest channels I've ever seen, where everything he sang and played flowed straight down from heaven. Almost like one of those mystic Sufi guys with one finger pointing up and one finger down. That's what it was like to listen to. And I had to leave just to preserve some kind of sanity or confidence in myself."
I love watching people fall in love with Stevie! Now you need to watch him, always live, Voo Doo Child at CPital theater, Little Sister at Austin City Limits One Night in Texas. You ain’t seen nothing yet!
Watch right at the end of the Riviera Paradise Live at Austin City Limits video and you will see him look up and flash a big grin because he knows that he nailed it!!!
Jimmy Voughan, Stevies older brother and a great guitar player in his own right said, " Stevie plays guitar like he's breaking out of jail ". Good analysis.
Welcome to the wonderful world of respect for SRV. You have much joy in front of you. If you're looking for more, about anything from his El Macambo concert (and really anything else) works. The dude could sing and frankly was made up of 1000% soul. You will dig whatever. Is live version of life without you too would probably hit your sweet spot.
SRV is the G.O.A.T.! He was also very humble and was spreading love, reminding people to love. Tin Pan Alley/Dirty Pool from the Tokyo video please :) 👍😎❤ pretty please 😁
Yes! That's my absolute favorite SRV and I've only seen one reaction to it. Everyone recommends the version with Johnny Copeland, and it's also great, but Stevie's just oozing soul in Tokyo.
@@LeighPC79 I don't think I've seen a reaction of the Tokyo concert. Would be nice to see one. I just love the part where he turns it up on the guitar. I can't describe how it sounds to me but I have to go back and hear it a few more times! Texas Flood and Voodoo Chile are outstanding as well. 👍
It's a channel called "Patrol Gaming". He has more SRV reactions than any channel I've seen. I think he clicked on the Tokyo video on accident while looking for Lenny and just decided to go with it :) th-cam.com/video/ETznb_7IcxI/w-d-xo.html

At the point where you say "I don't know what he's singing, but it sure damn sounds good" is Ain't Gone n' Give Up On Love. Check out his performance of this song at the Capitol Theatre 9/21/1985. The audio is very good on this one so you can hear what he is saying.
Thank you for this. "Texas Flood" played at the Presidential Inaguration, he was at the top of his game. If you can react to it I think you will thoroughly enjoy it. Thanks again!!
Check out Blind blues guitarist Jeff Healey - See the Light, Hideaway, As The Years Go Passing By and Stevie Ray Vaughn & Jeff Healey - Look at Little Sister. Just sad that their both gone.
I'm sorry you happened to pick this one to review. While it's a gem of a video for SRV fans, it should not be viewed by first time listeners. Zero question, you wanna get blown away then you check out Texas Flood (from Live at the El Mocambo) and that will lead you to more. Thanks for the review!
About to watch you react to SRV, a personal hero. I think you are about to get your mind blown (in a good way). Let's have at it! That's "Scuttle Buttin'", "Ain't Gone and Give Up On Love".and "So What?".

Look for some of his collabs with Buddy Guy, especially at his club. Johnny Copeland, Albert King, BB King, Albert Collins.... It's a rich history, & one you come to appreciate & enjoy more as you learn more about it.
Try some Jeff Beck, considered by some as guitars GOAT. Beck's Bolero or go back to the Jeff Beck Group. For a more fusion/jazz sound try Wired or Blow By Blow, also amazing albums. Beck is still around, 74, and still amazing us with his guitar
Stevie Ray Vaughn gets up in the morning, puts on his snakeskin boots, his 10-gallon hat, and his leopard skin coat, gets in the limo and goes to the gig for sound check. Gets to the sound check, scratches his balls, farts. . Puts on guitar, yawns, picks his nose and then proceeds to DEMOLISH THE STADIUM! Not even a "1. . 2. . 3" count-in to start playing. . . Raw form. He had just woke up having been asleep on his bus, sauntered up on stage, and gracefully started playing. Thanks!! BrandyF from West Texas.

He was the magic man at that time! God Bless you Stevie Ray... we all love you!!
Love seeing young people discover and appreciate Stevie! Thank you!
This was only the sound check. Can you imagine how good the show was?
Nobody could bend those 13 gauge strings like Stevie. We miss him so much.
Desert Rat it’s hurts to bend my 10 gauge strings to try to get the bends the way he did. Definitely a master of his craft.
Start playing bass it’s pretty easy
Then u can bend any gauge u want on guitar

Hey there! You got my attention tonight!!!😜 SRV My very favorite in the world!! Do more!! Haha ❤️Tennessee
That sound check was butter than 95% of guitarists entire careers. 🔥🔥

I'm thankful I was at Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble concerts. When he stopped doing drugs his playing got better!
No way....just kidding, I saw him open the show with Jeff Beck near the end incredible
