I agree the wine should be included. Carnival chefs table is sensational done it twice, you are in a private room, wine included, superb food and magician a tour of the galley, champagne to start, beautiful floral arrangements. Carnival dining room is dire but the chefs table is exceptional

Thank you for sharing, sound like Carnival has nailed the chef's table.

I about fell of my couch when you said wine wasn't included. We've been doing Chef's Tables in different Royal and Celebrity ships for years. Then about 5 years ago we had two very bad experiences. That was the end for us. Wine was a big part of why we did them and it was always included. It was always very good wine, right until it wasn't. Really appreciate this honest review. We are about to get on Apex for 24 nights (Scandinavia, Baltics and British Isles) and have loved watching all your videos.

The highlight of any Chef’s table or Michelin star meal is enjoying a culinary journey which, clearly demonstrates “the personality of the chef" i.e. “Daniel Boulud” in the cuisine.
If, you didn't walk away in awe of at least one course it was not Michelin Star!!
The thing which, struck me is that you had the same meal served on 3 other Celebrity Cruises, going back over two years!!! That’s tragic, lazy and way too formulated for a “Chefs Table” experience!
I am getting ready for an Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Edge. As a private chef, events like this are a highlight and frankly the enjoyment of a special, intimate dress to impress night is hopefully, a highlight of any trip. Why else do they have “Chic Night”? You are so on point with service and an overall experience expectation for an evening like this.
The evening probably would have been saved/worth it if, after diner, you walked away think “Now that was a Daniel Boulud dinner to remember”!!
I am getting ready for an Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Edge to celebrate my 25th anniversary. Thank you for a clear concise and objective review of the Chef’s Table experience!! We will make another choice for our 25th anniversary dinner, while onboard.

Thanks for this honest review. We are foodies and thought this would be a great experience for our upcoming cruise on the Edge, but based on your comments and looking at the courses in your video I was disappointed. If you were blown away by the overall experience then I might think twice about booking it, but from yours and other comments the overall dining experience on the Edge/Apex (and not just this one) seems to be subpar with the exception of Eden. Agree 100% on the wine. You also should have challenged them on the galley tour though. Note that during covid times all galley tours were scrapped on our cruises, so maybe the protocol has changed. But not providing any explanation is not acceptable.

Thank you for this thorough and honest review. We are going on the new Ascent this December and booked the Chef's Table in Voyage, so I'm hoping it will be a better experience since it is in Daniel Boulud's actual restaurant. We are in Retreat class and also have a premium drink package so the wine pairing doesn't interest us. I will ask about the Galley tour as that is very important for me, especially on a new ship. We are foodies so we will be critical. Glad that it isn't a dress up night as ours is only available night 1 and we won't be ready to dress up. Thanks again for your feedback. We will report back and let you know how our experience differed.

Thank you for this very informational video! First time on Celebrity but have sailed other lines and wanted to see if Celebrity was something we wanted to put in our vacation schedule for the future. My husband and I booked the chefs table on the Apex for May and the "date" they told was the first day we board the ship. And at Noon. I thought that was a little odd but I called and Celebrity confirmed it as well. Was this your experience as well? I doubt we'll have our luggage and be ready at noon but I figured I'd ask.

They hold a slot for your registration, but the dinner will be on one of the nights. You won't find out till the end of the first or second day what time and day you will have the dinner.

Thank you for this concise explanation of this experience. I was considering doing this with my spouse but I think I will pass. For me it’s about more than just good food, I need atmosphere and service to be on point. I appreciate your honesty.

No galley tour? I'd definitely go to guest services about that. There should be a refund for a portion of your payment. The galley tour is a part of the experience that you paid for.

That is a good suggestion. We had a pretty huge onboard credit we had gotten, so we honestly didn’t feel it was worth our time. Also, in an upcoming video we will talk about our experience when we did go to guest services for a very simple request and a bit of foreshadowing…it didn’t go very well.
