⬇TRANSLATION DOWN BELOW⬇ [Like always, neither Korean nor English are my first language. If there are mistakes in the translation, I apologize in advance. I’m always open to corrections or questions! Have a lot of fun while watching! 🌹] 0:10 I send my followers an alarm that the live has started. 0:31 Oh, but why are there today… aren’t you all working today? Why are there so many viewers today? 0:45 Oh what, is it because yesterday was Friday and you stayed out having fun, so you didn’t go home yet? Oh no, the viewer numbers are decreasing again. Don’t go. Where are you going? Do you go to work? Is it lunch time? I don’t know… Ahh, it’s the weekend today. I didn’t realize it’s the weekend. So it’s the weekend…I’m sorry, I have no sense of the weekend/I don’t feel like it’s the weekend. But then again that can happen on Saturdays. 1:26 One moment, please. Someone gave me this candy because I said I’d go live. But I can’t talk. They might have done that to tell me that I shouldn’t talk. So, I took it out again. 1:43 Where I am going? I’m going to Gwangju right now because I have a performance there today. 1:53 I got a haircut but I haven’t styled it yet. Later… it will look a bit better. So, we are meeting today. There are people watching who will attend the concert today. Since it takes a long time to get to Gwangju and I really couldn’t endure it/hold back, I turned on the livestream. 2:21 I don’t know anything about the Gwangju dialect, so I won’t be able to do it. Yes, I shaved my beard. Although I shortly considered not shaving, when I saw my face this morning, I thought no, that absolutely won’t do it. 2:40 US tour? Yeah, I’ll do one. I should do a US tour. 2:49 Whether there is a lot of traffic? Yes, there is a bit of traffic jam, but still I’m thankful. 2:56 Someone’s also asking me to come to Busan. Yeah, I’ll come. Why are there so many places you want me to go to? …I’ll come. 3:03 Where I am right now? There are trees and dead leaves around me right now and I see cars and a sign saying “yield”. 3:20 Whether I ate potatoes already? I have to eat it a bit later on the way. My stomach hasn’t send a (hunger) signal yet, so I’m still holding back. 3:32 Good morning. Yeah, good morning. 3:34 Please come to Vancouver. It really has been a while since I’ve been to Vancouver. I was in Vancouver for the last time when I was in my third year of elementary school. Since it was for two terms, was it maybe my fourth year? It has been like 20 years. 3:53 You’ve been saved by my music/You’ve found salvation through my music? Wah, it’s not easy to find salvation…so you’ve already found salvation. Thank you. 4:07 Someone asked me to come to Paju, too. Yesterday, also someone asked the same. But Paju… yeah, I probably won’t go there. I’m sorry. 4:19 Fist of all, the people coming to my performance today make some noise! Aren’t you able to? They are probably screaming somewhere… 4:28 Someone’s greeting from New York. Yeah, I want to go to New York. 4:32 No, I haven’t eaten yet. 4:39 Please stop constantly asking me to come somewhere. 4:45 Everyone, how are you spending your day today and I... the thing is… since I have to keep chattering while looking at my face only, it’s a bit... If you give me some topics, I’ll try to talk about them. Today’s topic… 5:07 Curious of my beauty secret? The secret of looking good is makeup. Chahong Ardor is my beauty secret, and my dermatologist, Mifamoon* and …consistent exercise maybe? Just before I forget it, I make sure I go workout. Like 3 or 4 times a week. (*Name of a Korean dermatology clinic) 5:50 A hobby I’m into these days? Looking at pretty furniture. Looking at pretty lamps. Even if I cannot have them, making a bucket list in my heart, things like that. The prices are hefty. 6:12 A word of encouragement for me getting into Georgetown’s College of Medicine. Oh, Georgetown is good. Hm… Fighting! Was there a Medical School? But there wouldn’t be an undergraduate school? Anyways… I think there was one. Because, you know, there is the Georgetown Hospital. When I was working out at the university, I got up and started working out without stretching before. Even worse I did a shoulder workout and just as I sat down, I heard a sudden sound from my hip. I thought “oh what’s happening?”, and that sound from my hip, that I’ve never heard before, kind of climbed up to my brain and as I heard a ‘tik’ sound in the inside of my skull, I collapsed. I really collapsed with the feeling ‘That’s it for me. I’m done for’. Since I’ve had never fainted before. That was the first time that my field of vision narrowed, becoming a small circle like this. Fortunately, there was a foreigner whom I didn’t known working out next to me and I told him “yo yo call 911” while fainting. When I came back to my senses, it seemed like I hadn’t fainted for long. When I woke up after a few seconds he had called the Georgetown ambulance. They took me to the Georgetown hospital. I couldn’t move but they asked me how much it hurts on a scale from 1 to 10. Thinking ‘woah this really hurts, I can’t move like this.’, I said 9 and then they told me to wait. Next time I should say 11, so that they take care for me quicker. I said 9 because I really thought I was in extreme pain. I really should say 11 next time… I remember I waited for 3,5 hours to get an x-ray. So I hope for anyone who attends Georgetown College and has to go to the hospital that they care for you quickly even if you say the pain is a 9. But it can’t be helped, the system is just different to that of Korea. Okay… 8:47 Somebody wrote just lie that you can’t breathe… but there could be people who really can’t breathe, so you shouldn’t lie about that. 9:00 You want to hear another episode from the military? Having such a hip and knowing my disc being like that, I joined the Marine Corps, but I think it hurt the least during my time there. It hurt again when I left the Marines. It might be a psychological thing. I kept worrying, “How can I march like this? How do I go up to the peak of Cheonja mountain, how can I go up in full gear?’ I was overwhelmed with such thoughts but it all worked out. It was fine. That was surprising. 9:49 A dating episode? About such things… mind your own business! So… next ㅋㅋㅋ 9:48 When will you do a busking session again? Hm when will I? I should do it sometime but honestly, it’s too cold these days. Also gathering so many people outdoors is a bit worrisome, so please wait a bit. 10:16 Please recommend a song? I just listened to this earlier [singing Lee Seung-chul - No One Else Like You 그런 사람 또 없습니다] 10:51 I’ve really sang this daily in the military. This and Blue Whale (흰수염고래by YB). [singing] 11:02 How old I am? Me? I’m 27… 24, that’s how old I feel at heart. 11:16 How did you overcome the vocal cord nodules? The thing is if you go to the miliary and diligently sing military songs, almost everyone gets vocal cord nodules but for some they might disappear while not even knowing it. But I worried a bit and as I went to the hospital, they told me I had developed nodules and gave me an injection and medicine. They said I should use my voice less but because I was a private first class at that time, I had to use my voice. When the soldiers do physical exercise you have to count like 1, 2, 3 [mimicking counting in military]. But after finishing my military service and not using my voice much for almost a year, my vocal cords recovered. 12:04 Please come to LA. Yeah, I wanna go to LA. It has been a really long time since I’ve been there. The last time might have been when I went there for KCON. That’s all the memories I have (related to LA). 12:18 Aren’t you 30 years old? Well, what age are you talking about? My physical age? Or my mental age? Both aren’t 30. 12:38 Let me read some comments. Hm… yes, I see your comments! ⬇continued in the replies down below⬇
12:51 My ideal type? Why are you curious about my ideal type? It seems a bit like… I always wondered what the mentality behind being curious about ideal types of those being into dating is. Is it that the ones asking are hoping that the answer is something similar to how they look/are? Or are they just curious? Can one just be curious about that? Someone who’s not interested in that person wouldn’t be curious about that person’s ideal type, would they? Isn’t it like that? Would you like to know what kind of people a person you’re not into likes, Chan-yeong? ㅋㅋㅋ [Chan-yeong saying sth] Right! So, then in the end, it seems like it’s a question stemming from the thought ‘would I have a chance’… You never know since the probability isn’t 0%. 14:05 So, my ideal type… my today’s ideal type is a woman that can drive me safely to Gwangju. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Of course that’s important.. that’s my ideal type today. So, my ideal type, first of all I like someone who’s healthy, they have to be healthy mentally and physically. Well, someone pretty and if there body looks good, too, that’s nice of course. But most importantly, they should not have any harsh/crude/uncompromising traits/should not be heartless/cruel in any way. Everyone has some kind of trauma or complex but dating someone, who cannot overcome his complex and is eaten away by it, seems a bit hard. But people who try to become better through this complex, grow from it, and try to change to be a healthier version of oneself seem to be the best. 15:42 You’re already out? Ah… but even if you’re not my ideal type, everyone, I think one should approach life with such a mindset. If I say that, will everyone call this a story from my personal experience again? Each time… then don’t ask! I won’t say anything! It’s not from personal experience though? 16:13 If you’re the last performer today, do a 500-minute-long encore. 500 minutes, how many hours is that? 9 or 8 hours, it’s around 8,5 hours. Okay, 8 hours… 16:34 Alcohol drinking capacity? My drinking capacity is a bit vague. If it’s only Soju, I cannot drink it well. But if I drink somaek (soju+beer), I can drink a lot. Also, I mostly drink Whiskey and when I drink Whiskey like glug glug glug while the ice is slowly melting into it, I can drink it without end. If I drink Nitro Whiskey, I don’t drink it well. I don’t really know my drinking capacity. But if I have to hold out, I can drink a lot, as long as I don’t have to drink fast. 17:11 You’re all very curious about the small (braised) potatoes… I’ll eat that a little later. 17:17 Today’s order? I’m probably the last today. Yeah, I’m the last act. I’m not sure why they didn’t announce the order. It’s today, is there a need to not tell you? Yeah, I’m the last today. 17:32 Whether I work out diligently? Ah, but I don’t exercise as diligently as during my military days. Recently, I’ve went on a skiing trip with my friends from the marine corps and they said I don’t look like the Sang-woo they used to know. But I couldn’t deny it. They asked ‘Hyung, where did your arms go? Hyun, where did your abs go?’. It all disappeared. 18:01 There’s a lot of traffic. There’s an irritating pimple right here. 18:11 Now for almost all of the performances I do, I am the last performer. It seems like that’s the case because it’s been 11 years since I debuted. I don’t know… 18:25 Oh someone said they come wearing my (merch) hoodie today. Thank you! There are like 5 of my hoodies left at my home. I also keep and cherish them. 18:47 Someone said they pop pimples well… Yeah I know, there are people who like seeing pimples being popped. On Instagram and other places, there are memes/gifs about that going around… some people are watching such things at home. 19:17 You’ll come wearing a hat? Ahh, my (merch) cap. 19:25 Yes, 11 years passed. Since I came out on Superstar K in 2012, it’s already been 11 years. That’s crazy. It’s annoying, I’m getting irritated. Now is only the beginning! 19:43 Right! Jaejung is coming today, as well. Since Jaejung is coming today as well, I packed some tangerines for him as he asked me to give him some. 19:55 What I’m wearing right now? This is nothing special. I’m just wearing a hoodie and some pants. 20:21 You said it’s a milium? No, it’s not. I know it’s not. If you touch it (you know), tomorrow or when my performance ends it’ll… it’ll probably be ready to be popped. 20:19 Do I like cheonhyehyang*? I like fruits less than I expected. It’s not like I don’t like them. I eat them, but I’ve never had a day on which I thought ‘wah today I crave fruits’. I rather just eat some when there are some. (*special type of tangerine from Jeju) 20:42 You thought it’s a comedonal pimple? … so you also enjoy talking about pimples. Someone said it’s a milium again. It’s not. I don’t know why, but I got some milia on my neck before and got them removed with a laser. 21:00 (What to do) when you have no appetite? If that’s the case, I just drink a protein shake. 21:10 I don’t wear a tweed (jacket). Today I wear a sweater, a cardigan. That what is hanging here behind me. 22:00 Do I like something that looks “fruity/juicy”? “Fruity”? What’s that? [woman says sth] Ah, things that look round are “fruity”? Then noona, are you looking fruity? Noona, don’t you look a bit round? [woman says sth] Something that looks fresh?? Then it’s just something that looks pretty. Is there something fruity that’s not pretty? [woman: no] Right, there isn’t. ㅋㅋㅋ Then it’s something good. Then I like it, yeah. 21:57 What does it mean to look “fresh”? Is there also something like looking too ripe? If one can look fresh, another could look overly ripe? Is looking fresh like looking cute? Looking cute is good, why? There would be no one who doesn’t like it, looking fruity. 22:22 Fruity… if there’s fruity*, is there also something like meaty** or seafood-y? Does that exist? No? Okay… (*lit. fruit(juice)-like/fruit-shaped, so he’s playing around with the word by exchanging the syllable that stands for fruit) (**meat(juice)-like/shaped) (***seafood(juice)-like/shaped) 22:52 An episode about Mwah? Mwah annoyed me this morning. Even if it wasn’t for him, I would have gotten up early. But since I woke up even earlier because of him, it kind of rubbed me the wrong way/it did get on my nerves a bit … I really can’t stand it when someone touches/bothers me while sleeping. When Mwah nudged/annoyed me, I first thought what should I do about him, but then I got up when it was time and looked at him and he was so cute that I just let him off the hook. 23:23 Someone said I am “lemony/lemon-like/shaped”. What’s that? … I really like giving names. Is there something like “walnut cookie-like”? Lemony? You’re lemony. - Oh, really? But I’m actually walnut cookie-like. 23:36 Oh, there’s also “morning bun-like”. Mu-ah-gwa-sang*…it all works. Squid-like? hm… (*probably a wordplay with Mwah and gwa-sang, because “sang” indicates the “like” but gwasang can have so many meanings so don’t ask me what they meant exactly.^^ ) 23:48 Hyung, there are also male fans cheering for you. Of course, I know! They are even becoming the majority these days. I’ll salute you once. 24:07 Tanaka-like. Yes, Tanaka-like exists, too. 24:15 Twisted-bread-stick-shaped. Sticky-rice-like. Okay, let’s move on from “x-like”. 24:26 [reading] There are lots of female fans, too! ….well, fans aren’t differentiated by gender… You’re all just lovely people.
24:46 Hyung, my name is Sang-woo, too! My name consists of “sang” meaning “each other” and “woo” meaning “to help”.* (My parents) must have given me the name with the meaning “Let’s live while helping each other” in mind, but I’m busy with my one/own life. (*the meaning of the Chinese characters of his name) 25:00 Oh you watch Pani Bottle* because of me? But because it became too much/too overbearing now, it’s a bit… but I still enjoy it more than I expected, because they maintained the editing style that I liked. (*빠니보틀 youtuber) 25:24 Yeah, I haven’t styled my hair yet. Should I just go like this? 25:40 Do I have any plans to appear on a variety show? Oh… no. This right now is me appearing on a variety program. Actually, I didn’t have much interest in doing livestreams either, but since you kept asking me to do it. I thought ‘yeah, let’s try it’ and since the time passes quickly (while doing lives), .. yeah… 26:04 Whether I still do pilates these days? Yes, sure. Once a week. Also, because I have to take Mwah out to play and there is his family there (at the pilates studio), the only dogs Mwah isn’t afraid of. So, I have to go there to let him meet them. Whether I also go to the gym? Yeah, of course. I went yesterday evening. Shortly. I trained chest yesterday, bench press, incline press, squeezing from below*, push-ups and dips. Because it was a bit disappointing, I also did biceps curls and then abs exercises. That’s it. (*that’s literally what he said, don’t ask me what exercise he meant, I’m lost, too lol) 26:57 The machine I like the most at the gym? I think, it’s the bench for me. 27:06 Yup, I’m fixing my lower teeth. Because of this one. But I went to the dentist and they said I am someone with easily movable teeth. I don’t know whether that’s good or bad, but I guess when trying to correcting your teeth position it’s probably good. But that one has already (moved)… there has not been any space between the others before, but now there is space. Even when I just push against my teeth, they move, so I sometimes worry whether they won’t fall out. They move little by little. 27:46 Yes, I’ll also get my upper tooth corrected later. I’m thinking about it. It has been like a month and a half, since I started getting (the lower ones) corrected. But looking how far it moved, I think the tooth will almost have moved to its place when two months have passed. In the beginning it really hurt, I was having a hard time even though it didn’t even bleed. Nevertheless, there is this kind of pleasure about feeling this pain of your teeth moving. But although it hasn’t been long, I don’t feel anything anymore, so I want to go (to the dentist) soon and feel more. It would be nice if I felt the pressure because it means my teeth are moving to be properly aligned. You know what I’m saying? 28:39 Don’t the braces impact your singing? Slightly… but when I had them on the inside they hindered my pronunciation. So, when I removed them and got them done on the outside it was much better. Everyone keeps asking if it isn’t prettier to get them on the inside, but it’s even weirder. When you start talking, everyone will know. ‘Why are you talking like that?’ - ‘I’m getting my tooth corrected.’ - ‘Ah okay.’ I, too, was talking like that. You know what I mean, right? 29:14 Do you like hard things? Do you mean eating hard stuff? Or do you mean hard rock? Hm… whatever it is, I don’t think I like hard things. 29:39 Vancouver. Oh yeah I’ll go to Vancouver one day, hopefully. 29:45 When you remove the braces on the outside, you have to get a retainer on the inside for the rest of your life. Yeah, I’ll just get one. But since you stick that retainer directly onto the teeth of the inside, it doesn’t look that uncomfortable. 29:58 Take out your buried wisdom teeth! I also got all four, the upper and lower ones on both sides, removed at once. Both my lower wisdom teeth were buried. I was so scared and kept thinking ‘What should I do? What should I do?’, but it didn’t hurt at all. You can just get them removed. There is a hospital which has a technique/technology to do painless anesthesia inside the mouth and I went there. Normally, the anesthesia is put into the gums, like this into the palate and I really hate that, but they did it in a way that I didn’t even feel that. I’ll tell you the name of the hospital - it’s called sarangi-apeuni-chigwa (love-hurts-dental clinic). Jaejung introduced me to it, he said it hurt for him, but for me it didn’t. 31:05 On which side I am chewing, while eating? After I have chewed on the right side for all my life, my face became way to asymmetrical. So, I thought I should chew on the left side and now that I did that for 10 years, the left has gotten bigger a little bit. So now I am chewing on both sides alternating. What should I do? 31:39 We’ve almost arrived. Let’s do 10 more minutes. 31:49 Oh I have three chins. 31:55 What do I have to do so that I look better, which angle? Have I filmed me too unflattering before? Should I have filmed like this? 32:09 If you only chew on one side, your teeth get worn down only one-sidedly, so you could get the problem of malocclusion later. :(( … there is really a lot to we have to worry about. We have to worry about the way we chew…. It’s okay. Let’s believe in our medical technologies.
32:32 Whether I don’t have motion sickness? I do get motion sick but only taxies. Taxi… ouh… yeah, inside taxies, not always but among the drivers some drive like this that. Especially when there is a traffic jam, even if they not even arrive 10 seconds earlier, they accelerate until the end and only to step on the brake hard, when they are directly behind the car in front of them. So, they stop really abruptly. You know there are drivers who, even passing only one traffic light, do that 10 times. In such cases, I definitely get motion sickness. Sometimes there are these really smelly taxies. You know which kind I mean, right? You know it, too! Don’t act like you don’t! Don’t tell me I’m the only one who experienced it. Sometimes, I wonder whether (the driver) slept in the car, whether he slept there for a while with all the windows/doors closed. Sometimes there are cars where the smell is so bad that I have difficulty breathing. In such cars, I get motion sick even before we depart. I can’t tell them. How would I tell them that it’s too smelly in the car. So, I just… also, it’s a smell that you cannot get rid of no matter what you do. This smell, how do I put it, it’s coming from the inside of the body and fills (the car) through breathing out. This smell, … okay let’s move on. But there are really people who have this to an extreme degree. As soon as I get in… Even cigarette smell is better, that smell can be that bad that even cigarette smell is better. If I had to rate that smell on a scale to 10, it’s a 11. 11, because I get the most severe motion sickness from it. So… 34:41 Of course, I open the windows. I open it quietly, but in winter it’s really cold and when they had turned on the heating, I am really sorry to open them and just endure it. That’s just how my character is. Also, when it’s hot outside and the air-conditioning is turned on, opening the windows is also a bit… I would do that because of the smell but being conscious of what the other’s think... also, because the nose adapts to smells quickly, you get used to it. So maybe it’s also a method to just take the smell all in and get your nose “drunk/high” on it. But these days we all wear masks, so it’s bearable. 35:17 Coffee? I really like coffee, but I can’t drink it. I can’t sleep if I drink coffee. When I get up reaally early, like 6 or 7am, then I drink coffee, but starting from the afternoon I don’t. Sometimes when I really crave coffee, I drink decaffeinated coffee. 35:38 What it smells like in the car right now? Since my nose has already adapted I can’t tell. Maybe a faint shampoo scent from (the person) sitting in the front. Is it shampoo, or maybe perfume? Anyway, it’s not a strong scent, it’s a delicate scent. And there is another smell coming from my clothes, a mix of styler scent and perfume. 36:24 Let’s do 7 minutes more, only 7 more minutes… why doesn’t it show the time? Ah, that’s when we arrive? Okay… I got shocked. 36:35 Whether I got botox injected in my chin? Does it look like it? If it looks like it, I got it and if it doesn’t, I didn’t. 36:47 You’re curious about my weight? My weight doesn’t really change, I always maintain a weight between 60 and 65 kg. 36:59 You keep asking me for perfume recommendations, but I also don’t know a lot about perfume because I just use what I get gifted. Also, perfume is so expensive. I heard some even cost several hundred thousand won (100s of dollars). But I feel paying so much for a liquid, just seems a bit of a waste. Is it not okay to think like that? It’s too expensive. I get really startled. So when I go to duty free shops, I smell test a few and buy perfumes there. 37:31 One has to get botox in the chin? One has to? Is there a reason? 37:40 Oh, you’ll give me perfume as a present? Thank you! I hope I like the scent! 37:50 Ah, right. Le Labo costs more than 200,000 won. It’s expensive and it’s this small. 38:00 It’s not just a scent, it’s buying my atmosphere/mood/aura/image? If you put it like that,… Do I have to spend 200,000 won for creating my atmosphere/aura? … Just wash yourself well. Let’s just wash ourselves well and apply a nicely scented cream afterwards. That’s another method. 38:27 Ah, right OST! Everyone, my OST is released soon. When is it released again? As far as I know, it comes out on March 2nd. Originally, I didn’t plan to do an OST just because… I didn’t want to. I have just released a full album and (because of the timing) I felt like it would be better not to release an OST. So, I kept rejecting all the OSTs offered to me, until I received the offer for this song. The song was so good. Irrespective of the drama, I liked the lyrics of this song so much that I thought “this song… if there is a song that I like, I should sing it” and so I did. 39:36 As a kind of behind-the-scenes-story… there is this drama, how was it called? Chaebol… drama [woman telling him the title] ah, “Reborn Rich”! I almost called it “wise chaebol lifestyle”. I was asked to sing an OST for “Reborn Rich” but I ended up not doing it out of some reason. I keep getting asked why I didn’t accept it, that drama is so much fun. Well, it’s always a dilemma. I also knew that drama would do well. But if I record all the OSTs that are offered to me, it would lose its charm, wouldn’t it. It really depends, when I hear the song and I immediately think “I could sing that song well and I really want to sing it”, then I’d do it. I judge whether I’d do an OST with that kind of (?strong-willed/a bit stubborn?) mindset. Because of that I didn’t sing some OSTs and when I then enjoy the drama, I think for a second “oh, do I regret it?”, but it’s not like I that, it’s fine. I have a lot of time now. (*lit. title Chaebol-house’s youngest son) 41:04 How many kilos I bench press? When I was in the military, I went up to 100kg when doing 1 rep. Now when doing a set of 10reps, I do 30kg on both sides at most. I do 7 or 8 sets like that. 41:47 A drama I’m watching these days? I told you yesterday already, but “Fauda”. I’ve watched it up to episode 6 of season 3, woah… the more I watch, the more fun it is. 42:00 I don’t have a sixpack. 42:04 The most difficult one among my songs? All songs from my recent album aren’t easy. Yeah,… honestly, none of them seem to be easy. They’re not easy, my songs.
42:32 Wow...perilla leaf debate... Does that still exist? But isn't the perilla leaf debate really a case-by-case thing. Well honestly, (let's say) I have a very good friend and I eat with that best friend and my girlfriend. My male best friend is struggling with his chopsticks but I didn't notice it(?) and then my girlfriend helps him separating the perilla leaves, I think in this case I wouldn't mind. But there is one thing that I would need to have... the believe that even if I died, my girlfriend would never ever date that guy. My self-esteem would have to be high. As if she would ever leave me and date him... If I already had established a mindset like this, then it's fine for her to separate it for him. But if my male best friend is quite cool in my eyes and I believe he could make my girlfriend waver, like if he's a guy that's cool to the degree of being able to make girls waver, then I would be bothered. But I'd probably wouldn't say anything, I would not saying anything and try to help separate the leaves. Doing that, I would check how my girlfriend reacts, "Oh you're trying to separate them, too? Should I not do it? Did you feel bad? Oh okay, then let's not do it, you don’t, and I won't, either. " Then it would go like this. 44:34 But I don't know... I'm not trying to discriminate by gender but I think as a man I might react that way. I think the feeling of friend ship among women and among men is a bit different. Yeah....the word friendship is defined a bit differently. 45:09 I've known the friends that I have now at least for 10 years. But there are also people who are different around me, like if you look at the women, there are many, who get closer to people they've just recently met than with people they've already known for 10 years. People just seem to differ in this aspect. 45:38 Should we just do 7 more minutes? Why is there so much traffic?? Ouhh where are you all going? Stop going there... 45:50 Was your hair hit by the wind? Yeah... it's struggling a bit. Right the wind. 45:54 Just don't eat perilla leaves. Right, why are you even eating that? Or... just separate them all beforehand and put them on a tray, so that the debate won't arise...but if that doesn't work, (you) just become a weird guy...or just eat the leaves raw/uncooked and why do you even season the leaves? Just eat them raw separating them with your hands. Or bring your own (fresh) head of perilla and tell her to eat it by separating the leaves. Today the citizens were fighting with perilla leaves... 46:36 If you can't use your chopsticks properly, don't eat perilla leaves? Hah... let's end it here about perilla leaves....But the (problem) is not only limited to perilla leaves, it could be the same with pickled radish or kimchi... someone takes up some Kimchi but it's too big and asks the other to cut it for her/him, that would be a no-go of course. Okay... 47:02 You want to see me with permed hair? Getting a perm… I really respect permed hair and also long for it. The permed hair of foreigners is pretty, isn’t it? But they didn’t get their hair permed, it’s naturally (curly/wavy). I wanted to get such hair roughly 8 years ago and tried it out, but got it straightened again right after. It doesn’t work with my hair. My hair can’t be turned into such a ‘natural perm’. 47:36 Gwangju Sangmu’s Boiled Chicken with Rice and Neungi Mushroom is delicious. Okay, tell me what kind of delicious things I could eat near the Kim Daejung Convention Hall in Gwangju. People who know please (recommend me sth.) now, but it would be nice if it didn’t take too long. I also don’t like it when I smell like meat afterwards. I don’t want to sing while reeking of meat. (Recommend) sth. that is comfortable to eat. 48:07 A down-perm? Of course, I got it many times. I tried it the first time in high school. Or did I? Back then down perms slowly started to become a basic… yes, I did it in high school. Wah I still remember in high school, I urgently wanted to get a hair cut but I didn’t know where to go. I was memorizing English vocabulary for the SAT at the Apgujeong Rodeo, there was a Starbucks and on the opposite site of it was a place called “jjageudae hyangju”. Do you “jjageudae hyangju”? She doesn’t know. ㅋㅋ I saw this “jjageudae hyangju” and thought ‘oh, let’s try calling there’. I wanted to go get my hair cut with my friends, two of my best friends whom I still meet now. I called and went there. Ah and there was this guy (hairdresser), I thought I remember his name… I even went to this same guy a few times afterwards. My friend kept going to him (to get his hair cut) up until recently. I went there on a whim but … what was his name again? I can’t remember. Anyways, I remember that they straightened the side hair for free, like a down perm on the sides. So, we thought ‘hey, we need to keep going there! They even straighten the side hair for free!’ But because it’s in the Cheongdam district it was a bit expensive. I suddenly remembered that. 49:55 Someone asked if it’s/I am not the generation of barbershops? I went to the barbershop called “Taeyang Ibalgwan” in my elementary school days. I went to that barbershop in the Munjeong district starting from before elementary school up until the beginning of middle school. When I went there in the beginning of middle school, I went with my dad but came out crying. Since I had to cry, I think I can’t go to a barber since then. I cried… you know, back then I had no hair on my sideburns. But then really,… there was something like a ㄱㄷ(?) cut, just a complete ‘sports cut’. Not everything is cut short and even worse, the sides are cut in a diagonal line going up. And here on the sides they shaved the hair with a trimmer, so it started from up there. That’s how my face look. And at the barber there is this thing… where they cut just square like this [gesture]. So, they wiped out my sideburns. We lived like this (back then)... 51:09 [Talking to the barber] Are you doing fine? I hope your doing fine and aren’t sick. He always gave me a yogurt, which I always ate well. I don’t know why acted like this either. When I was young,.. I don’t want to keep talking about how it was back in my days, but there were also hairstyle regulations when I was in middle school. It’s not like I’m trying to show off/flirt(?), but I remember the early days when my dad used to drag me to the barber. Back then an LeeKaja hair salon opened in front of our home and I went there since my 3rd year in middle school... Before that I went to/there was Blue Club (hair salon). 52:05 I also gained some strength(?) and when my hair became longer than a few centimeters, I just grabbed my hair and cut it. I remember how delighted I was.
52:20 What the staff is doing? Well, nothing much. What should they be doing here? There just sitting in the front. One is driving diligently, and one is just breathing. 52:36 What I do on my days off? I just workout. I get up late, workout and write songs. 52:45 I am a hoobae from the same Huimun middle school, Oppa. Huimun middle school is an all-boys school. 52:50 Color lenses? Should I try color lenses? I’ll wear some in the future. 53:07 I’ll end the live in 5 minutes, really only 5 minutes more. 53:16 Right, behind me is my outfit for today. But seeing it like that you won’t know how it looks like. 53:23 Yes, I have a lot of memories from Munjeong district since I stem from there. My elder sister also went to school there. So there a lot of memories (connected to that place). 53:47 Hyung, it’s the first time that I like a man. Well, then it’s the start now. 53:52 My arm doesn’t hurt, though. Many seem to worry about my arm. Since my smartphone is small, it’s fine. I’m thinking about getting a bigger phone next year or within this year. Should I get a Galaxy Fold? I always see that one, like the last time I went out to Samsung Plaza and it was so good and (I was surprised) how big it is. Watching something with such a big screen is amazing in itself. The screen on the front of the Galaxy Fold’s first generation was a bit small, that I thought they have to develop it further but now it’s perfect. Generally, I have a lot of interest in new technology. So I follow what new things are coming out and what technologies are being developed. I think it’s time now to get a Galaxy Fold. Not a flip, I think the Galaxy Flip is too cute. 55:18 What kind of headphones I use? I use earplugs/in-ears these days. I also use B&O headphones, the ones that lovely fans have gifted me. I also use AirPods Max. 55:36 Ah, ITSub*? Yes, of course I watch that! It’s really interesting. (*Korean TH-cam Channel) 55:53 What’s ah-gung-bbang*? Roy Kim’s ah-gung-bbang-form is crazy? What’s that? Is it the butt? I’ve heard that for the first time. What’s going on? I’m getting old. (*short from of Ah-gi-gung-daeng-i-bbang, lit. baby butt bread, a kind of sweet white milk bread. There is a pose trending where you push up your cheeks with one hand, which you put under your chin called baby butt/cheeks pose.) 56:10 Whether I remember Japanese? [speaking Japanese] I don’t know. I don’t remember much of Japanese, after having learned Katakana, I forgot everything. [more Japanese] 56:43 I don’t know whether I remember Chinese. Let me try to talk in Chinese. [Chinese] 58:27 Let’s stop here. There is not one Chinese person watching. No one understood what I said. ㅋㅋㅋ What I said was. Since I am a singer, you all know I’m a singer right. I am in Korea right now and going to Gwangju because I have a performance there today, I will sing there. And since I am a bit hungry, I’m going to eat sth. In Gwangju. 59:04 I’ll just do four minutes more. Ahh~ I should really learn Japanese. 59:15 Whether I go back to Seoul right after the performance? No, in Gwangju I’ll… yeah, I’ll just go back. 59:24 Sujebi (Hand-pulled Dough Soup)? Yes, Sujebi is good but since I’m eating too much carbs (these days), I’ll have to think about it. 59:37 Now three minutes are left. This time I’ll really end it. 59:46 It has been a while since I have last cooked. So, I should start again. 59:53 My makeup is really thick today? If it’s this much, it isn’t thick? You haven’t seen someone with really thick makeup then. 1:00:05 Gwangju Daegwang Restaurant? … Right, tell me quickly. There are only two minutes left. What should I eat in Gwangju? 1:00:12 Sea trumpet (Ecklonia cava) Pasta. That sounds good. 1:00:18 Beef pancake at Daegwang restaurant? 1:00:28 Love from india. Love from Korea to you. 1:00:33 Roasted cereal. What’s that? What are you talking about? 1:00:37 Fried lettuce? What are you all talking about? There is sth like that? All say beef pancake. It seems to be famous. 1:00:50 Lotteria’s fries. Boiled Chicken with Rice and Neungi Mushroom. Hm but since I am the last performer and it will end a bit late, … that’s a shame but I want fries. 1:01:05 Someone said fried lettuce is famous. Why would you fry salad? Have you tried it? Oh you’ve heard of it? I should look that up. 1:01:23 Tteok-galbi (Grilled Short Rib Patties)? Hm I don’t really crave that. Since I haven’t eaten fried lettuce, let’s try that. Let’s fry some salad. Is it like fried perilla leaves? Is it perilla in the end? …. It is eating (sth.) fried wrapped in salad. Ahh, I thought it’s eating lettuce fried. 1:01:51 Oppa, please upload a selfie on insta. I always* upload selfies. (*lit. every day) 1:02:00 Oh (but now that I know that it’s) eating sth. fried wrapped in lettuce, the appeal is gone. Hm I thought it’s fried lettuce…. There is one minute left. 1:02:11 What time do I arrive in Gwangju? Why? Will you be waiting for me? I will come on the right time, just wait. 1:02:22 There is one minute left, not even one minute now. Yeah, I don’t eat thornback ray/skate. 1:02:28 You don’t upload a selfie every day. If I would upload a selfie every day, it would be no fun. It’s the end. I’ll leave. Bye~~

⬇TRANSLATION DOWN BELOW⬇
[Like always, neither Korean nor English are my first language. If there are mistakes in the translation, I apologize in advance. I’m always open to corrections or questions! Have a lot of fun while watching! 🌹]
0:10 I send my followers an alarm that the live has started.
They are probably screaming somewhere…
4:28 Someone’s greeting from New York.
Today’s topic…
5:07 Curious of my beauty secret? The secret of looking good is makeup. Chahong Ardor is my beauty secret, and my dermatologist, Mifamoon* and …consistent exercise maybe? Just before I forget it, I make sure I go workout. Like 3 or 4 times a week. (*Name of a Korean dermatology clinic)
5:50 A hobby I’m into these days?
Okay…
8:47 Somebody wrote just lie that you can’t breathe… but there could be people who really can’t breathe, so you shouldn’t lie about that.
So… next ㅋㅋㅋ
9:48 When will you do a busking session again? Hm when will I? I should do it sometime but honestly, it’s too cold these days. Also gathering so many people outdoors is a bit worrisome, so please wait a bit.
10:16 Please recommend a song? I just listened to this earlier [singing Lee Seung-chul - No One Else Like You 그런 사람 또 없습니다]
10:51 I’ve really sang this daily in the military. This and Blue Whale (흰수염고래by YB). [singing]
11:02 How old I am?
Okay, 8 hours…
16:34 Alcohol drinking capacity?
I don’t know…
18:25 Oh someone said they come wearing my (merch) hoodie today.
(*special type of tangerine from Jeju)
20:42 You thought it’s a comedonal pimple?
No? Okay… (*lit. fruit(juice)-like/fruit-shaped, so he’s playing around with the word by exchanging the syllable that stands for fruit) (**meat(juice)-like/shaped) (***seafood(juice)-like/shaped)
22:52 An episode about Mwah?
Squid-like? hm… (*probably a wordplay with Mwah and gwa-sang, because “sang” indicates the “like” but gwasang can have so many meanings so don’t ask me what they meant exactly.^^ )
23:48 Hyung, there are also male fans cheering for you.
(*the meaning of the Chinese characters of his name)
25:00 Oh you watch Pani Bottle* because of me? But because it became too much/too overbearing now, it’s a bit… but I still enjoy it more than I expected, because they maintained the editing style that I liked. (*빠니보틀 youtuber)
25:24 Yeah, I haven’t styled my hair yet. Should I just go like this?
25:40 Do I have any plans to appear on a variety show? Oh… no. This right now is me appearing on a variety program. Actually, I didn’t have much interest in doing livestreams either, but since you kept asking me to do it. I thought ‘yeah, let’s try it’ and since the time passes quickly (while doing lives), .. yeah…
26:04 Whether I still do pilates these days? That’s it. (*that’s literally what he said, don’t ask me what exercise he meant, I’m lost, too lol)
26:57 The machine I like the most at the gym?
So…
34:41 Of course, I open the windows.
(*lit. title Chaebol-house’s youngest son)
41:04 How many kilos I bench press?
(*Korean TH-cam Channel)
55:53 What’s ah-gung-bbang*? Roy Kim’s ah-gung-bbang-form is crazy? What’s that? Is it the butt? I’ve heard that for the first time. What’s going on? I’m getting old. (*short from of Ah-gi-gung-daeng-i-bbang, lit. baby butt bread, a kind of sweet white milk bread. There is a pose trending where you push up your cheeks with one hand, which you put under your chin called baby butt/cheeks pose.)
56:10 Whether I remember Japanese? [speaking Japanese] I don’t know. I don’t remember much of Japanese, after having learned Katakana, I forgot everything. [more Japanese]
56:43 I don’t know whether I remember Chinese. Let me try to talk in Chinese. [Chinese]
58:27 Let’s stop here.
(*lit. every day)
1:02:00 Oh (but now that I know that it’s) eating sth. fried wrapped in lettuce, the appeal is gone.
I’ll leave. Bye~~
It seems like I'm the only one who's worried that Roy Kim isn't looking at the road!😳😳😳🫣❤
