No crap, the Renault Clio V6 also uses M3 E46 for upgraded. But the stock sound for the Clio comes from TVR Tuscan. Also I don't understand why the Audi TT 3.2 has to have 3.2L I6 engine swap while the Audi A3 has proper 3.2L VR6? Also let's don't forget how by upgrading the VR6 suddenly got 2.0L I4 engine swap that is from straight piped Focus/Golf.
If you are talking about the graphics these one are not vanilla. The vanila ones has a pretty bad yellow filter (that some will say it resembles the color of pee) that many hated it but removing it it looks 10 times better. But if you are talking about sounds sure they are great but most of them were not fitting because by default this game doesn't have many sounds and Black Box were lazy to record sounds from their counterpart (not all but mostly) for example Supra/IS300 with VQ35DE sound (even the Skyline sound or 300ZX sound will fit better for the 2JZ despite the 300ZX sound was used only for the second upgrade) but again they could have recorded a Supra/IS300. At least porting the Supra sounds from NFS Pro Street will work perfectly fine but the abk files will be missmatched because NFS Pro Street doesn't have abk files for the redline and overall boosting the sounds. And with my friend we made a mod that fixes some of these sounds: nfsmods.xyz/mod/2200 still there are some issues but at some point it will be fixed but now we are mostly working on NFS Undercover (the messiest Black Box NFS).

Funny how the Lexus I300/Toyota Supra sound nothing like 2JZ - they sound more like VQ35DE (and the Supra the first upgrade is from VR30DETT). NFS Pro Street was the first NFS to get right the 2JZ-GTE sounds right. And the CLK500 is actually turbocharged but for some reason it sounds like it has supercharger and it uses the same sound as the SLR for upgraded, as well SL500. Also forgot to mention how the max upgraded sound for the RX-8 is from Ferrari 360.
You know what is funny how Black Box from NFS UG2 - Carbon always put the 6G72 sound to the 4G63T Eclipse which was weird and very inaccurate. And for some reason in NFS Pro Street Black Box put a Chevrolet Cavalier sound (if you can't think how it sounds it sounds like the upgraded CTS/Cobalt sound) instead it was close but not exactly close to a 4G63T. And finally in NFS World they recorded the real 4G63T sound which is the same "quieter" version of mit_evo8_a (the stock sound of the Evo 9 in NFS Carbon). I wonder why it took them so long to realise that the Eclipse GSX version used exactly the same engine as Evo 8/Evo 9. Edit: I like how Black Box put Focus sounds and Chevy Cavalier sound but in reality all CTS models had V6 while on the CTS-V had V8 but never I4.

What do mean by "owned" cars? Cars that you had in real life? And you know that the Pontiac GTO uses Mustang sounds which nothing sounds like 6.0L V8 LS2. I wonder if 3 cars have the same engine - C6 Corvette, Pontiac GTO, Monaro VXR why they sound so different? Like the Monaro for stock uses a sound from BMW M5, C6 Corvette from C6 Z06 Corvette that had 7.0L V8 LS7 and GTO - Ford Mustang GT while for upgraded these cars share a Mustang sound (while the C6 again from another Z06 Corvette) as well the Aston Martin DB9. I mean the DB9 sounds weird like mix of Aston Martin V8 + V12 (it is more noticable on the unused DB9's upgraded sound which basically is a high pitched stock sound I don't understand why Black Box didn't use it? I guess they really wanted to make the DB9 to drop 4 cylinders to sound like straight-piped Ford Mustang GT.) Still NFS Carbon has better and more accurate DB9 sound gladly it wasn't used after NFS MW 2005 because was so damn weird. And between Porsche 911 Carrera S (997) and Porsche 911 Turbo S (996) which you prefer? Edit: As KuruHS Golf is still better.
Fun fact: The stock and tuned engine sound of gallardo in mw are reversed to those of gallardo in carbon, and I prefer the stock engine sound to be the tuned one in mw so I edit it via vlted I still prefer corvette engine sound in carbon, someone already converted it but it doesn't fully represent corvette itself
if i got that right, stock Gallardo in Most Wanted has a V10 sound file and upgrade has V12 sound file, and in Carbon, the stock Gallardo sounds like a V12 and modified like a V10. yeah i also noticed that when playing both of them games

@@Xtreme_PlaysXP Eh, but still they could have done a better job like NFS Pro Street (recording of most its real counterpart) instead of recording a random sounds from a cars that would never appear anyway like Mazda Protege (Familia), Chevrolet Cavalier, TVR Cerbera/Tuscan, Volkswagen Scirocco MK2, Ford Bronco etc. For 2005 game the sounds were ok (probably better than most of other games like Gran Turismo that had sounds from vaccum cleaner). But I hate how they put a totally wrong sound for the CTS (I mean not many people like this car but I have a friend who likes it) and it is sad how this car uses literatelly Focus sounds for stock and first upgrade while for the final it is from Chevrolet Cavalier. This car always had V6s (and this one was equiped with 3.6L V6 so they could have used the 350Z sounds instead of putting them for the Supra/IS300 like how a freaking 2JZ sounds like VQ35DE?) But at least with 1 friend (we fixed most of these generic sounds - it might have some issues with the abk that are pain in the ass to fix but at least we fixed it like at 80% of these sounds). @@HeroManNick132 It could be better for sure, but if you compare with NFSU2 and NFSU, the cars sounds got really improved, and I think that is better than NFS Carbon too, and this game has some of the best sounds that I've seen on my life, like the Carrera GT, BMW M3 GTR, Dodge Viper, and all the Lambos and Porsches the sounds looks very good, and when you upgrade the engine of your car, it obviosly changes, but if you get a stock car, I really don't remember any of then look the same, so at least this we got in this game...
@@Xtreme_PlaysXP Well that is true but many sounds got messed even though there were brand new sounds for stock Evo, Ford GT, Jaguar XK and etc. The good thing about NFS Carbon sounds is unlike NFS MW 2005 you can put engine and exhaust sounds while in NFS UG2- MW 2005 you could put only exhaust sounds. You can put of course sounds from other NFS and it will work perfectly fine with like NFSVLTED and Car Tuner mod for NFS UG2 like exhaust and engine sounds but you can't do both like NFS Carbon. It is funny how NFS UG1 also it had engine and exhaust sounds but NFS UG1-MW 2005 didn't have and they mostly relied on the abk sounds that were kinda used as engine sounds but they were most of them were like another exhaust sound. Compared to NFS UG1 with NFS UG2 the format of the soundfiles is different - NFS UG2 used GIN sounds and ABK (for boosting the sounds) while NFS UG1 only ABK sounds. The GIN sounds were used from the Black Box era from NFS UG2 - Carbon when the format changed to TMX from NFS Pro Street - World (and the abk files are no longer there used for boosting the sounds). Only in NFS The Run from all Black Box era is not known what is using it could be TMX or GIN like the rest of the Frostbite NFS and NFS HP 2010/MW 2012.
It uses recycled sounds from NFS UG2, specially the upgraded Cavalier sounds and the street upgraded Nissan Sentra sound which comes from Mazda Protege.
I was too young (like toddler young) to properly enjoy this game In its hay day. And I only managed to get a copy when I was around 15 or 16. I can not describe, how much joy I felt when I played this game
I love the tuned sounds of the TT, the Eclipse and the Clio. The stock Mustang sounds really good too. I think everyone can mutually agree that the Carrera GT is the best sounding car in the game
The stock Mustang sound is also shared with the GTO (recycled from NFS UG2) which makes no sense how the Vauxhall Monaro uses BMW M5 E39 sound. Although the real Pontiac GTO 2005's sound was supposed to appear in NFS MW 2005 but it was delayed until NFS Pro Street which was unused sound (probably because they recorded it from modified one and it's too aggressive for stock). The upgraded TT sounds are shared with the Clio too which also makes no sense since they come from BMW M3 E46 while both cars use V6 and VR6 not I6. The Eclipse sound although it's from G3 one (or Mitsubishi GTO) it fits really well the G4 one. Although the first upgraded sound comes from Nissan 300ZX which is shared with the Supra which is recycled from NFS UG2. And like as you know the Supra didn't have proper sound until NFS Pro Street where they finally ditched the VQ35DE sound.

It's shared also with the Eclipse which comes from Nissan 300ZX. Which is recycled from NFS UG2 used by the Tiburon and TT there as street upgrade. I think the Eclipse and GTO used it too.
I'm sorry to say but in reality the most realistic sounds goes for NFS Most Wanted 2012/2015 and Heat. And from all Black Box era NFS Pro Street had the most accurate and best sound design from all their NFS. And NFS Carbon reuses some generic sounds that are from NFS UG2 like the S2000 sounds (used for the upgraded Evo and 240SX). And still the stupid Supra and Is300 reuses the 350Z/G35 sounds for some reason when these cars had a fucking 2JZ-GE/2JZ-GTE - 3.0L I6 NA/Twin-Turbo not a VQ35DE/VQ35HR - 3.5L V6 NA even for upgraded was used another 350Z/G35 sound - same thing with the Skyline. Why? How a RB26DETT sound like a fucking VQ35 when this car had 2.6L I6 Twin-Turbo. And why every Lamborghini sound is so messed up? For the Gallardo as stock it sounds like 6.2L V12 while for upgraded like straight piped 5.0L V10 - explain the logic, same thing as NFS MW 2005 but exactly the opposite. When you have seen a V12 Lamborghini Gallardo/Huracan when all Gallardo/Huracan had a V10, same thing with the LP640 - when you have seen a V10 Lamborghini Murcielago when all Murcielagos had 6.2L - 6.5L V12 but for some reason the LP640 version that has 6.5L V12 reuses again the 5.0L V10 sound. All V12 cars are so messed up that for some reason they sound like a stupid Gallardo V10. There is even unused real Pagani Zonda 7.3L V12 AMG sound but for some damn reason wasn't used why? And Black Box realise it when NFS Undercover came out which is very ironic. And it is funny how the low-pitched Diablo sound that was used by the stock Murcielago coupe was actually was supposed to be used for the LP640 version but instead it was used for the Murcielago Coupe with the 6.2L V12. And don't ask me how the muscle cars are so overused with Corvette sounds. Even there was a real Chrysler 300C Hemi sound but no the Corvette Z06 sound will be used for pretty much all modern muscle cars (except the Vauxhall Monaro, Pontiac GTO that shares the same Mustang sound. I mean they both use the fucking 6.0L LS2 engine same with the Camaro Concept and still don't understand why Black Box didn't use Corvette sounds for the Monaro and GTO and instead for the Charger and Chrysler... It is also funny how for NFS Pro Street they finally recorded a proper Dodge Charger SRT8 sound, as well 6.0 LS2 sound (that is sadly unused but at least it uses Corvette sounds not Mustang), even a Clio V6 sound that was used for the Cupra and AE86 for some reason. There are so many wrong sounds in NFS Carbon that I can name and it is probably due to Black Box being rushed. So yeah NFS Carbon is a bit step up in sounds in terms than NFS MW 2005 thanks to the option of putting engine sounds and making custom sounds.

@@HeroManNick132 I disagree for Pro street i honestly think that the sounds sound very muffled and distorted compared to UG2/MW/Carbon same goes for undercover. MW 2012 had some downgraded sounds from HP 2010 too. The 930 turbo and the 911 GT2 RS being the most notorious. NFS 2015 had some really great sounds. Rivals and Payback were horrendous. Heat is pretty good aswell but i still feel like the 2015 sounds have more depth. IMO MW/Carbon ,2015 and Hot Pursuit 2010 have the best sounds in the NFS franchise.
@@trievoluzione8868 I would say muffled and distorted sounds goes to NFS The Run. Yes, you are right because even NFS The Run uses the same format as NFS Pro Street/Undercover/World called TMX. The main issue of the TMX format is the sound is bit more more compressed than the GIN format but it has "better detail" when you are driving in the low RPM range compared to the GIN files so you can't say both sound formats are perfect. If you don't believe me - try it. But from all NFS that uses TMX format the best sounding is NFS Pro Street. NFS Undercover is a bit downgrade in terms how the sounds are processed but with some modding you can achieve the same status as NFS Pro Street but still not quite because there are some imperfections in the game's way of processing the sounds. NFS The Run is the least solid in terms of fixing its sound processing because even making the game running at 60 fps with no V-Sync breaks the sounds. So to fix it you need to enable the V-Sync in your NVidea player. But it can support bigger than 2048 MB TMX sounds like NFS Pro Street over 1024 MB - the sounds simply don't work like the stock McLaren F1 sound which is cat_ctsvr_a but it doesn't work in NFS Pro Street unless if you compress it. I would disagree about NFS HP 2010 sounds because they are so damn inaccurate and pretty quiet I would say (even in the remastered the volume has been increased slightly but not drastically). Ironically how the Vipers sound like 65 Mustang (yes they do if you extract the sound it will be very similar to the NFS 2015/Heat's one) + some Subaru WRX mixed sound. And the only Viperish thing is the decceleration sound that is barely even heard unless if you REALLY pay attention if you can't extract it is the only Viper V10 sound in the game. Not to mention that the Evo X sounds like a freaking RB26DETT, the M6 like Acura NSX etc. I don't get it how Criterion could get a proper I5 sound for the TT RS but Black Box couldn't make a proper I5 sound but they were able to get proper V10 sounds while Criterion - couldn't. About NFS UG2 I can agree but it kinda has the same issue like NFS The Run with the 60 fps no V-Sync. The sound doesn't break but the gear shifts are so SLOW and sometimes the first gear is so slow that it doesn't reach its redline and it feels slower than any gears. NFS MW 2005 compared to both NFS Carbon/UG2 has bit shitty sound processing compared to the both of these NFS. I don't need to explain where the NFS MW 2005's sound processing is bit worse compared to the both so you have to find out. And about NFS 2015/Heat I do agree but the sound processing was slightly better in NFS 2015 than NFS Heat.
Maxed Lamborghini Gallardo shares the same sound as the Murcielago and I'm confused. By GT you mean Mustang GT or Carrera GT? And by Carrera you mean the 911 Carrera S?
@@HeroManNick132 I already know that the Gallardo and Murcielago shares the same sound. I like the Murcielago sound more than the Gallardo because it fits. And by the cars i meant the Ford GT not the mustang and the Carrera GT.

It's inaccurate since it uses Ford Focus ZX3's sounds from NFS UG2 with Chevrolet Cavalier sound also from NFS UG2. Irl it sounds closer to 350Z as the A4 but I guess Black Box really wanted to make I4 CTS and VR6 and F6 swapped Audi A4.
Vauxhall (Holden) Monaro VXR8 = Pontiac GTO that is produced in Australia and sold as Vauxhall for the UK market. The exact same car with only difference the facelift and the driver position but for some reason the Monaro is way better than the GTO even if they are the exact same cars.
@@HeroManNick132 yes , but maybe use "realistic" word , not "better" ... MW have bass+ sound ( good for max tuned ) , and CA have silent sound ( good for stock ; sounds like in real life , because it's silent V10 ) . But MW sound more adrenalined for Me :)
Fun fact: the street version of the BMW M3 GTR uses TVR Chimeara sound while the race version - TVR Cerbera. Basically these sound files have 0 difference and that shows they are not even from real GTR recorded or if they were the % is so very small that is basically a TVR Cerbera sound.
@@HeroManNick132 Chimaera and Cerbera sounds are all same, only difference is Cerbera (tvr_cerb) got a transmission whine and Chimaera (tvr_chim) don't. The game only uses tvr_cerb.
The Carbon version is much better. Even the NFS HP 2010/The Run variant of Carrera GT is better. Soz but the NFS MW 2005 Carrera GT's sound is in crappy quality. You can see it well if you listen this pure sound in WAV and compare it with the NFS Carbon - NFS HP/The Run one to see the difference.
@@reybar365_ Because either they didn't record them or just they put a random sound. For example all Lamborghini sounds in NFS Carbon are messed up, including the Zonda sound which a real V12 Zonda was in the files but for some reason unused until NFS UC when Black Box decided to use it for the first ime. Stock Gallardo sounds like V12 + V10 mixed while upgraded like a 5.0L V10 but straight-piped but this explains the lack of Lamborghini sounds in these games. Basically they swapped the stock and upgraded sound from NFS MW 2005 in Carbon. The only Lamborghini sounds in NFS MW 2005 are the Gallardo (stock), the Murcielago (which is also used by the upgraded Gallardo) and the unused Diablo sound which was used for stock Murcielago Coupe in NFS Carbon mixed with the new Lamborghini Gallardo's engine sound. It is weird how NFS UG1 had sepparate engine and exhaust sounds but in NFS UG2/MW 2005 only exhaust sounds. But after NFS MW 2005 from Carbon - Hot Pursuit Remastered all NFS have both sepparate engine and exhaust sounds.
@@HeroManNick132 lol ug1 car sounds are rather repetitive e.g. Almost all 4 bangers sound similar. Same story for six cylinder engines. Can't blame it though unlike 2015(or fh4/5)
@@reybar365_ Well, true because there are only 5 sounds in this game (10 in total if you separate them by engine and exhaust). NFS UG2 had many repetitive sounds too. And the only only unique sounds were all the WRX ones and stock/street Nissan Sentra. NFS MW 2005 too but less repetive than the NFS UG2 ones. Also the NFS 2015 sounds are actually more unique than the NFS UG1/2, MW 2005 and even the Carbon sounds. NFS Pro Street is the only NFS where Black Box truly shined where after than from NFS UC - The Run they went downhill. And some of the NFS The Run sounds are actually even less accurate than the NFS UG2 sounds. For example Tier 2/3 Supra uses I4 engine sounds for everything and even for decceleration, except the exhaust accelerating sound which is from proper I6 engine. For exhaust is uses its Supra exhaust but for engine it uses the same one as Tier 1 200SX or Tier 5 Megane RS or Tier 2 Focus which comes from Toyota MR2. And the Tier 5 Supra uses a new Honda S2000 sound which is used by Tier 2/4 Megane RS, and Tier 5 VW Scirocco R. You are wrong. The sound is not even from a NSX. The sounds that the Clio uses are not even from Clio - they are from TVR Tuscan (as stock sound) and others are pretty much different variance of BMW M3 E46 sound basically it uses I6 sounds instead of V6 which is pretty ironic. The real Clio sound was recorded in NFS Pro Street (and it was pretty much for some reason used by the AE86 and Cupra) and if you want a real NSX sound play NFS Pro Street more. In terms of sound design from all Black Box era NFS Pro Street had the best and most accurate sounds (not the most accurate in the franchise since NFS MW 2012/2015 and Heat has more accurate sounds but still the best from all Black Box era. NFS MW 2005 when it comes to sound (like porting, abk shit and memory) is pretty bad compared to NFS Pro Street but it is way better than NFS Underground 2. It is funny how the stock Clio sound in NFS Carbon was changed with the TT's sound from NFS MW 2005 that comes again from BMW M3 E46 (it might be from E36 since it revs lower than the other M3 E46 sounds). And the TVR Tuscan sound in NFS Carbon was used for CCX with jag_xk_a as exhaust which is weird it sounds like EcoBoost V6.

@@jadynwilson2025 I find it ironic that fully upgraded RX-8 uses the hated Ferrari 360 sound from NFS UG2 which was used by the RX-7, RX-8, Supra, IS300 and Skyline. And this sound was used until NFS Carbon when it was abandoned from NFS PS - World, when Black Box decide to re-record it properly with engine sound which was used in NFS TR for the McLaren F1. Kinda funny that the real McLaren F1 was in the game but used for the Aventador's 1.1 Console update and Maserati MC12 but not the car itself. Just like the Diablo sound. Speaking of Diablo sound, the unused lam_dia_a was used in NFS Carbon for stock Murcielago but then unused after that, while for NFS TR they took the Criterion's lam_dia_b which was introduced in NFS World.

@@rickysworld9570 It uses 1993 Mustang sound. It's identical to the 2015/Payback's Foxbody sound. EA loved recording Mustang Foxbody variations btw. And the same stock Mustang Saleen sound is also used by the Camaro SS.
Black Box logic: We'll add different E46 I6 sound for the TT instead of the VR6 sound. Also, don't forget how the CTS sound is so wrong. When you have seen a I4 CTS when all models had a V6. It is strange how it uses sounds from Ford Focus and from Chevrolet Cavalier as max upgraded sound. But more strange is how the A3 as max upgraded sounds like Golf while the A4 sounds like Flat 6 Porsche as max upgraded. And Black Box seems forgot that the TT and A3 had a 3.2L 15 degree VR6 while the A4 had a 90 degree 3.2L V6.
First time I played I choosed the Chevrolet Cobalt SS, I mostly choose the Lexus IS300, I never choosed Fiat, and on my current account the first car was the Golf
The Best is cars with Race or Pro engine tuned. Golf, RX-8, Evo 9, WRX STi, Cayman.. i'l tune everything, and add junkman, but except the engine.. Just leave on Race or Pro. But some cars upgrade starts with Super Pro.. Just leave without upgrade.

Lol dude if you had ears literatelly Is300/Supra are using sounds from G35/350Z with an exception of the first upgrade sound is from Nissan 300ZX (for the Supra was used while IS300 is using only 350Z/G35 sounds). It is funny how putting VQ35DE sounds does not replicate the 2JZ-GE/2JZ-GTE sounds. Black Box could put for stock sound the 300ZX (which sound closer to a stock 2JZ) and for upgraded the Skyline sound. Also it is not surprising if some NFS UG2 sounds are still used.
It won't be that different because the soundfile will not change. The only difference will be it will rev easier because the acceleration will improve.
NFS UG2 had more accurate VR6 sound for the TT (although the Tiburon also used it), while here they tried to make it sound like BMW M3 E46. Although the A4 uses the VR6 sound which is not accurate since A4 never came with VR6. The A4 sounds more like 350Z irl just like the Cadillac CTS which uses Ford Focus ZX3 sounds from NFS UG2 and Chevrolet Cavalier sound for upgraded which fits the Cobalt SS better. I mean Black Box was never been good in making accurate sounds, you could have seen in NFS UG2 which most NFS MW 2005 are recycled from that NFS with some new ones.

No crap, the Renault Clio V6 also uses M3 E46 for upgraded. But the stock sound for the Clio comes from TVR Tuscan.
Also I don't understand why the Audi TT 3.2 has to have 3.2L I6 engine swap while the Audi A3 has proper 3.2L VR6? Also let's don't forget how by upgrading the VR6 suddenly got 2.0L I4 engine swap that is from straight piped Focus/Golf.

This is what I call: beautiful game
If you are talking about the graphics these one are not vanilla. The vanila ones has a pretty bad yellow filter (that some will say it resembles the color of pee) that many hated it but removing it it looks 10 times better.
But if you are talking about sounds sure they are great but most of them were not fitting because by default this game doesn't have many sounds and Black Box were lazy to record sounds from their counterpart (not all but mostly) for example Supra/IS300 with VQ35DE sound (even the Skyline sound or 300ZX sound will fit better for the 2JZ despite the 300ZX sound was used only for the second upgrade) but again they could have recorded a Supra/IS300.
At least porting the Supra sounds from NFS Pro Street will work perfectly fine but the abk files will be missmatched because NFS Pro Street doesn't have abk files for the redline and overall boosting the sounds. And with my friend we made a mod that fixes some of these sounds: nfsmods.xyz/mod/2200 still there are some issues but at some point it will be fixed but now we are mostly working on NFS Undercover (the messiest Black Box NFS).

Funny how the Lexus I300/Toyota Supra sound nothing like 2JZ - they sound more like VQ35DE (and the Supra the first upgrade is from VR30DETT). NFS Pro Street was the first NFS to get right the 2JZ-GTE sounds right.
And the CLK500 is actually turbocharged but for some reason it sounds like it has supercharger and it uses the same sound as the SLR for upgraded, as well SL500.
Also forgot to mention how the max upgraded sound for the RX-8 is from Ferrari 360.

You know what is funny how Black Box from NFS UG2 - Carbon always put the 6G72 sound to the 4G63T Eclipse which was weird and very inaccurate. And for some reason in NFS Pro Street Black Box put a Chevrolet Cavalier sound (if you can't think how it sounds it sounds like the upgraded CTS/Cobalt sound) instead it was close but not exactly close to a 4G63T. And finally in NFS World they recorded the real 4G63T sound which is the same "quieter" version of mit_evo8_a (the stock sound of the Evo 9 in NFS Carbon). I wonder why it took them so long to realise that the Eclipse GSX version used exactly the same engine as Evo 8/Evo 9.
Edit: I like how Black Box put Focus sounds and Chevy Cavalier sound but in reality all CTS models had V6 while on the CTS-V had V8 but never I4.

What do mean by "owned" cars? Cars that you had in real life? And you know that the Pontiac GTO uses Mustang sounds which nothing sounds like 6.0L V8 LS2. I wonder if 3 cars have the same engine - C6 Corvette, Pontiac GTO, Monaro VXR why they sound so different? Like the Monaro for stock uses a sound from BMW M5, C6 Corvette from C6 Z06 Corvette that had 7.0L V8 LS7 and GTO - Ford Mustang GT while for upgraded these cars share a Mustang sound (while the C6 again from another Z06 Corvette) as well the Aston Martin DB9.
I mean the DB9 sounds weird like mix of Aston Martin V8 + V12 (it is more noticable on the unused DB9's upgraded sound which basically is a high pitched stock sound I don't understand why Black Box didn't use it? I guess they really wanted to make the DB9 to drop 4 cylinders to sound like straight-piped Ford Mustang GT.) Still NFS Carbon has better and more accurate DB9 sound gladly it wasn't used after NFS MW 2005 because was so damn weird.

For 2005 game the sounds were ok (probably better than most of other games like Gran Turismo that had sounds from vaccum cleaner).
But I hate how they put a totally wrong sound for the CTS (I mean not many people like this car but I have a friend who likes it) and it is sad how this car uses literatelly Focus sounds for stock and first upgrade while for the final it is from Chevrolet Cavalier. This car always had V6s (and this one was equiped with 3.6L V6 so they could have used the 350Z sounds instead of putting them for the Supra/IS300 like how a freaking 2JZ sounds like VQ35DE?)

@@HeroManNick132 It could be better for sure, but if you compare with NFSU2 and NFSU, the cars sounds got really improved, and I think that is better than NFS Carbon too, and this game has some of the best sounds that I've seen on my life, like the Carrera GT, BMW M3 GTR, Dodge Viper, and all the Lambos and Porsches the sounds looks very good, and when you upgrade the engine of your car, it obviosly changes, but if you get a stock car, I really don't remember any of then look the same, so at least this we got in this game...
@@Xtreme_PlaysXP Well that is true but many sounds got messed even though there were brand new sounds for stock Evo, Ford GT, Jaguar XK and etc.
The good thing about NFS Carbon sounds is unlike NFS MW 2005 you can put engine and exhaust sounds while in NFS UG2- MW 2005 you could put only exhaust sounds. You can put of course sounds from other NFS and it will work perfectly fine with like NFSVLTED and Car Tuner mod for NFS UG2 like exhaust and engine sounds but you can't do both like NFS Carbon.
It is funny how NFS UG1 also it had engine and exhaust sounds but NFS UG1-MW 2005 didn't have and they mostly relied on the abk sounds that were kinda used as engine sounds but they were most of them were like another exhaust sound.
Compared to NFS UG1 with NFS UG2 the format of the soundfiles is different - NFS UG2 used GIN sounds and ABK (for boosting the sounds) while NFS UG1 only ABK sounds.
The GIN sounds were used from the Black Box era from NFS UG2 - Carbon when the format changed to TMX from NFS Pro Street - World (and the abk files are no longer there used for boosting the sounds). Only in NFS The Run from all Black Box era is not known what is using it could be TMX or GIN like the rest of the Frostbite NFS and NFS HP 2010/MW 2012.

I love the tuned sounds of the TT, the Eclipse and the Clio. The stock Mustang sounds really good too. I think everyone can mutually agree that the Carrera GT is the best sounding car in the game
The stock Mustang sound is also shared with the GTO (recycled from NFS UG2) which makes no sense how the Vauxhall Monaro uses BMW M5 E39 sound. Although the real Pontiac GTO 2005's sound was supposed to appear in NFS MW 2005 but it was delayed until NFS Pro Street which was unused sound (probably because they recorded it from modified one and it's too aggressive for stock).
The upgraded TT sounds are shared with the Clio too which also makes no sense since they come from BMW M3 E46 while both cars use V6 and VR6 not I6. The Eclipse sound although it's from G3 one (or Mitsubishi GTO) it fits really well the G4 one. Although the first upgraded sound comes from Nissan 300ZX which is shared with the Supra which is recycled from NFS UG2.
And like as you know the Supra didn't have proper sound until NFS Pro Street where they finally ditched the VQ35DE sound.

I'm sorry to say but in reality the most realistic sounds goes for NFS Most Wanted 2012/2015 and Heat. And from all Black Box era NFS Pro Street had the most accurate and best sound design from all their NFS.
And NFS Carbon reuses some generic sounds that are from NFS UG2 like the S2000 sounds (used for the upgraded Evo and 240SX). And still the stupid Supra and Is300 reuses the 350Z/G35 sounds for some reason when these cars had a fucking 2JZ-GE/2JZ-GTE - 3.0L I6 NA/Twin-Turbo not a VQ35DE/VQ35HR - 3.5L V6 NA even for upgraded was used another 350Z/G35 sound - same thing with the Skyline. Why? How a RB26DETT sound like a fucking VQ35 when this car had 2.6L I6 Twin-Turbo.
And why every Lamborghini sound is so messed up? For the Gallardo as stock it sounds like 6.2L V12 while for upgraded like straight piped 5.0L V10 - explain the logic, same thing as NFS MW 2005 but exactly the opposite. When you have seen a V12 Lamborghini Gallardo/Huracan when all Gallardo/Huracan had a V10, same thing with the LP640 - when you have seen a V10 Lamborghini Murcielago when all Murcielagos had 6.2L - 6.5L V12 but for some reason the LP640 version that has 6.5L V12 reuses again the 5.0L V10 sound.
All V12 cars are so messed up that for some reason they sound like a stupid Gallardo V10. There is even unused real Pagani Zonda 7.3L V12 AMG sound but for some damn reason wasn't used why? And Black Box realise it when NFS Undercover came out which is very ironic.
And it is funny how the low-pitched Diablo sound that was used by the stock Murcielago coupe was actually was supposed to be used for the LP640 version but instead it was used for the Murcielago Coupe with the 6.2L V12.
And don't ask me how the muscle cars are so overused with Corvette sounds. Even there was a real Chrysler 300C Hemi sound but no the Corvette Z06 sound will be used for pretty much all modern muscle cars (except the Vauxhall Monaro, Pontiac GTO that shares the same Mustang sound. I mean they both use the fucking 6.0L LS2 engine same with the Camaro Concept and still don't understand why Black Box didn't use Corvette sounds for the Monaro and GTO and instead for the Charger and Chrysler...
It is also funny how for NFS Pro Street they finally recorded a proper Dodge Charger SRT8 sound, as well 6.0 LS2 sound (that is sadly unused but at least it uses Corvette sounds not Mustang), even a Clio V6 sound that was used for the Cupra and AE86 for some reason.
There are so many wrong sounds in NFS Carbon that I can name and it is probably due to Black Box being rushed. So yeah NFS Carbon is a bit step up in sounds in terms than NFS MW 2005 thanks to the option of putting engine sounds and making custom sounds.

@@HeroManNick132 I disagree for Pro street i honestly think that the sounds sound very muffled and distorted compared to UG2/MW/Carbon same goes for undercover. MW 2012 had some downgraded sounds from HP 2010 too. The 930 turbo and the 911 GT2 RS being the most notorious. NFS 2015 had some really great sounds. Rivals and Payback were horrendous. Heat is pretty good aswell but i still feel like the 2015 sounds have more depth. IMO MW/Carbon ,2015 and Hot Pursuit 2010 have the best sounds in the NFS franchise.
@@trievoluzione8868 I would say muffled and distorted sounds goes to NFS The Run. Yes, you are right because even NFS The Run uses the same format as NFS Pro Street/Undercover/World called TMX.
The main issue of the TMX format is the sound is bit more more compressed than the GIN format but it has "better detail" when you are driving in the low RPM range compared to the GIN files so you can't say both sound formats are perfect. If you don't believe me - try it.
But from all NFS that uses TMX format the best sounding is NFS Pro Street. NFS Undercover is a bit downgrade in terms how the sounds are processed but with some modding you can achieve the same status as NFS Pro Street but still not quite because there are some imperfections in the game's way of processing the sounds.
NFS The Run is the least solid in terms of fixing its sound processing because even making the game running at 60 fps with no V-Sync breaks the sounds. So to fix it you need to enable the V-Sync in your NVidea player. But it can support bigger than 2048 MB TMX sounds like NFS Pro Street over 1024 MB - the sounds simply don't work like the stock McLaren F1 sound which is cat_ctsvr_a but it doesn't work in NFS Pro Street unless if you compress it.
I would disagree about NFS HP 2010 sounds because they are so damn inaccurate and pretty quiet I would say (even in the remastered the volume has been increased slightly but not drastically).
Ironically how the Vipers sound like 65 Mustang (yes they do if you extract the sound it will be very similar to the NFS 2015/Heat's one) + some Subaru WRX mixed sound. And the only Viperish thing is the decceleration sound that is barely even heard unless if you REALLY pay attention if you can't extract it is the only Viper V10 sound in the game.
Not to mention that the Evo X sounds like a freaking RB26DETT, the M6 like Acura NSX etc.
I don't get it how Criterion could get a proper I5 sound for the TT RS but Black Box couldn't make a proper I5 sound but they were able to get proper V10 sounds while Criterion - couldn't.
About NFS UG2 I can agree but it kinda has the same issue like NFS The Run with the 60 fps no V-Sync. The sound doesn't break but the gear shifts are so SLOW and sometimes the first gear is so slow that it doesn't reach its redline and it feels slower than any gears.
NFS MW 2005 compared to both NFS Carbon/UG2 has bit shitty sound processing compared to the both of these NFS. I don't need to explain where the NFS MW 2005's sound processing is bit worse compared to the both so you have to find out.
And about NFS 2015/Heat I do agree but the sound processing was slightly better in NFS 2015 than NFS Heat.

It's inaccurate since it uses Ford Focus ZX3's sounds from NFS UG2 with Chevrolet Cavalier sound also from NFS UG2. Irl it sounds closer to 350Z as the A4 but I guess Black Box really wanted to make I4 CTS and VR6 and F6 swapped Audi A4.

Vauxhall (Holden) Monaro VXR8 = Pontiac GTO that is produced in Australia and sold as Vauxhall for the UK market. The exact same car with only difference the facelift and the driver position but for some reason the Monaro is way better than the GTO even if they are the exact same cars.
Not a fan of the Upgradee Engine. But I do love the stock engine with upgrades.

Bmw M3 Gtr has the same sound in Stock and Tuned so that's why he didn't put in that video.
Fun fact: the street version of the BMW M3 GTR uses TVR Chimeara sound while the race version - TVR Cerbera. Basically these sound files have 0 difference and that shows they are not even from real GTR recorded or if they were the % is so very small that is basically a TVR Cerbera sound.

The Carbon version is much better. Even the NFS HP 2010/The Run variant of Carrera GT is better. Soz but the NFS MW 2005 Carrera GT's sound is in crappy quality. You can see it well if you listen this pure sound in WAV and compare it with the NFS Carbon - NFS HP/The Run one to see the difference.

For example all Lamborghini sounds in NFS Carbon are messed up, including the Zonda sound which a real V12 Zonda was in the files but for some reason unused until NFS UC when Black Box decided to use it for the first ime.
Stock Gallardo sounds like V12 + V10 mixed while upgraded like a 5.0L V10 but straight-piped but this explains the lack of Lamborghini sounds in these games. Basically they swapped the stock and upgraded sound from NFS MW 2005 in Carbon.
The only Lamborghini sounds in NFS MW 2005 are the Gallardo (stock), the Murcielago (which is also used by the upgraded Gallardo) and the unused Diablo sound which was used for stock Murcielago Coupe in NFS Carbon mixed with the new Lamborghini Gallardo's engine sound.
It is weird how NFS UG1 had sepparate engine and exhaust sounds but in NFS UG2/MW 2005 only exhaust sounds. But after NFS MW 2005 from Carbon - Hot Pursuit Remastered all NFS have both sepparate engine and exhaust sounds.

@@reybar365_ Well, true because there are only 5 sounds in this game (10 in total if you separate them by engine and exhaust).
NFS UG2 had many repetitive sounds too. And the only only unique sounds were all the WRX ones and stock/street Nissan Sentra. NFS MW 2005 too but less repetive than the NFS UG2 ones.
Also the NFS 2015 sounds are actually more unique than the NFS UG1/2, MW 2005 and even the Carbon sounds. NFS Pro Street is the only NFS where Black Box truly shined where after than from NFS UC - The Run they went downhill.
And some of the NFS The Run sounds are actually even less accurate than the NFS UG2 sounds.
For example Tier 2/3 Supra uses I4 engine sounds for everything and even for decceleration, except the exhaust accelerating sound which is from proper I6 engine. For exhaust is uses its Supra exhaust but for engine it uses the same one as Tier 1 200SX or Tier 5 Megane RS or Tier 2 Focus which comes from Toyota MR2. And the Tier 5 Supra uses a new Honda S2000 sound which is used by Tier 2/4 Megane RS, and Tier 5 VW Scirocco R.

You are wrong. The sound is not even from a NSX. The sounds that the Clio uses are not even from Clio - they are from TVR Tuscan (as stock sound) and others are pretty much different variance of BMW M3 E46 sound basically it uses I6 sounds instead of V6 which is pretty ironic.
The real Clio sound was recorded in NFS Pro Street (and it was pretty much for some reason used by the AE86 and Cupra) and if you want a real NSX sound play NFS Pro Street more. In terms of sound design from all Black Box era NFS Pro Street had the best and most accurate sounds (not the most accurate in the franchise since NFS MW 2012/2015 and Heat has more accurate sounds but still the best from all Black Box era. NFS MW 2005 when it comes to sound (like porting, abk shit and memory) is pretty bad compared to NFS Pro Street but it is way better than NFS Underground 2.
It is funny how the stock Clio sound in NFS Carbon was changed with the TT's sound from NFS MW 2005 that comes again from BMW M3 E46 (it might be from E36 since it revs lower than the other M3 E46 sounds). And the TVR Tuscan sound in NFS Carbon was used for CCX with jag_xk_a as exhaust which is weird it sounds like EcoBoost V6.

@HeroManNick132 The 2094 Mazda RX-8 from the Tuner Class is my absolute favorite car. Every time I had played NFS MOST WANTED, I was always obsessed with getting Izzy's Mazda RX-8. I just absolutely LOVE her vinyl. I know how to create the loading screen Mazda RX-8 using Izzy's vinyl wrap.
@@jadynwilson2025 I find it ironic that fully upgraded RX-8 uses the hated Ferrari 360 sound from NFS UG2 which was used by the RX-7, RX-8, Supra, IS300 and Skyline. And this sound was used until NFS Carbon when it was abandoned from NFS PS - World, when Black Box decide to re-record it properly with engine sound which was used in NFS TR for the McLaren F1.
Kinda funny that the real McLaren F1 was in the game but used for the Aventador's 1.1 Console update and Maserati MC12 but not the car itself. Just like the Diablo sound.
Speaking of Diablo sound, the unused lam_dia_a was used in NFS Carbon for stock Murcielago but then unused after that, while for NFS TR they took the Criterion's lam_dia_b which was introduced in NFS World.
The Lexus IS 300 sounds like an VQ engine for some reason.

Black Box logic: We'll add different E46 I6 sound for the TT instead of the VR6 sound.
Also, don't forget how the CTS sound is so wrong. When you have seen a I4 CTS when all models had a V6. It is strange how it uses sounds from Ford Focus and from Chevrolet Cavalier as max upgraded sound.
But more strange is how the A3 as max upgraded sounds like Golf while the A4 sounds like Flat 6 Porsche as max upgraded. And Black Box seems forgot that the TT and A3 had a 3.2L 15 degree VR6 while the A4 had a 90 degree 3.2L V6.

Lol dude if you had ears literatelly Is300/Supra are using sounds from G35/350Z with an exception of the first upgrade sound is from Nissan 300ZX (for the Supra was used while IS300 is using only 350Z/G35 sounds). It is funny how putting VQ35DE sounds does not replicate the 2JZ-GE/2JZ-GTE sounds. Black Box could put for stock sound the 300ZX (which sound closer to a stock 2JZ) and for upgraded the Skyline sound.
Also it is not surprising if some NFS UG2 sounds are still used.

Developers don't try to find a specific sound for Audi
NFS UG2 had more accurate VR6 sound for the TT (although the Tiburon also used it), while here they tried to make it sound like BMW M3 E46. Although the A4 uses the VR6 sound which is not accurate since A4 never came with VR6. The A4 sounds more like 350Z irl just like the Cadillac CTS which uses Ford Focus ZX3 sounds from NFS UG2 and Chevrolet Cavalier sound for upgraded which fits the Cobalt SS better.
I mean Black Box was never been good in making accurate sounds, you could have seen in NFS UG2 which most NFS MW 2005 are recycled from that NFS with some new ones.
