SoftFruitOfDoom I know the problems and flaws on the g36. it's made from polymer, I heard poor ammo effects g36 accuracy. I'm not employed at H&K factory, honestly.
+SoftFruitOfDoom Complete nonsence! Its in service for almost 20 years in 20 countries. Do you think it would take so long to figure out such problems?! Its just politics and about new contracts.
The system makes a lot of sense. The bolt and carrier remaining cool is a big plus. Seen similar demos before. The piston may get a little cruddy, but it's easy enough to soak it for a few min while you clean the bolt and carrier. Mt understanding is the 416 was in fairly wide use by SpecOps prior to USMC buying a few 1000. No doubt the gun was well wrung out by them before USMC thought about them. Word is USMC wants to field about 11k of them (some being DMR's i would assume?). I'm all for it- our troops should have the best that we can get for them, even if it is not US made
Does the M27 have a heat sync like the Colt IAR . Also do you know how many Rounds it go during destructive testing . I'm just curious . I doubt I will ever see a real deal M27 .
I think Adams Arms is good enough, same design, uses a lot of standard AR parts, it uses AR standard bolt, firing pin, cam, barrel, upper receiver, and M4 handguard. Adams Arms has no carrier tilt problem like the HK416.
Although carrier tilt is potentially possible in all piston operated rifles it should no longer be a problem for any well-engineered firearm developed after 2000. There are ways to fix it, and those ways are of course implemented. HK is no exception; and they therefore have no problem with carrier tilt.
Matt Latessa I hope you've got a lot of disposable income cuz u pay thru the nose for HK products. Depending on what u buy you might have trouble finding replacement parts. Don't get me wrong though I love HK and the Germans are one of the best in firearms manufacture, second only to the Swiss in quality.
Thing i find most appealing is it does do the old shit were it eats, like the m-4 or m-16. I went to Iraq with a m-16 A2 and never had problems outside of it normal ones. (got keep her clean) Even with advancement in design soldiers need to care for them just the same. I hope the US Army keeps burning that into the minds of are soldiers.
AR 18 : im the best ar in the world!!! HK416 : emm what you sayin??? ohh now i remember !!! AR platform get hot very quick and jamming the bolt carrier
The Germans are great engineers and intelligent people, H&K makes great weapons like the G36.
Inform you about the problems with the G36 its plastic shit

"Cleared hot bruh" lmfao Larry you're the shit man
The Short Stroke Gas Piston system runs much cleaner and cooler. The weapon lasts longer, works much better and is much easier to maintain.
Anyone besides me think it would be awesome if someone started manufacturing new and updated AR-180s?
What do you think of what they brought out at shot show???? I wish I could get that
your wish has been granted ;) check out brownells AR-180.

Troy Ortega dmr would be the HK G28 we use in the german military. Its basically a 417 (7.62)
Very interesting that they used the svt gas system. I thought it was more like the vz-58 or sks.
Great video. Thanks for the history!

That's the AK secret that has made it the best
Do the mud test both with closed and open ejection cover.

As great as these weapons are, I cannot justify the price over a SCAR16 or SCAR17.
Shh shh shh, you had me at AR18.

LWRC.
What about LWRC ?
Horrendous trigger slap
The Marines should have adopted a replacement automatic rifle from an American manufacturer like LWRC or Barrett.
