glad we're finally going back to hero quest thanks to the long game, i can honestly take or leave pandemic legacy but hero quest hits way more of what i look for in terms of theme and people actually winning games.
Thats why I'd like them to play something like Descent or Imperial Assault then someone is always 'winning' honestly though I love their Betrayal streams and that will definitely be a 'thing' on The Long Game
Super happy to see The Long Game come in to allow for some more variety in AFK. I would love to see Cards Against Humanity come up in AFK more than just at Tabletop Day. Ya'll are hilarious and I never fail to bust a gut whenever yall play Cards (or similar games, like Snake Oil)
I've always played where the treasure deck is re-randomized (shuffled) each time a card is drawn. Otherwise it doesn't make any sense that hazards and monsters are returned to the deck because you would have to go through literally every treasure card before you saw a repeat. If you shuffle each time then you're creating a situation where treasure becomes more and more risky as the quest progresses, which I believe is the intention of the designers. But of course you guys do it however you like. Your version is just slightly more generous to the players.
I like the idea that the traps are just loose floor, wall and ceiling stones that are just holding each other together because the mortar cementing them has crumbled, so stepping on it may or may not cause one of the rocks in the ceiling to come loose.
Oh yeah they should just use Hero Quest as their filler for when someone is missing from their main crew for whatever Legacy game they are currently playing for this time slot. Its got a more flexible cast and I love Paul's recaps and the funny hats.
Zargon is in the chaos wastes sending forces down. To get to him you'd have to cross the chaos hordes... think thousands of chaos warriors. oh and demons.
Seems like you have the heroes moving in any order because of characters blocking other characters. The rules state that a Hero character can pass through the square of another hero character (if the blocking hero allows them to pass - which generally you always would, being teammates an all).
It’s for situations where one player is in a doorway and there’s an enemy on the other side. If they keep the turn order and that player ends up being the last person in the rotation, then everyone has to pass their turn until that player can move, and then the enemies get to come in and essentially get free hits on them. If they let that player go first rather than making them wait until their turn in the rotation, then there’s no passing the turn for the other players.
"Sorry if you were expecting us to play this (expansion to Heroquest) any time soon, because we aint.". 3 years later, and they still haven't. (This is in no way a complaint or mean-spirited. Just a commentary on how things have shaken out)
Sargon is a Power Rangers villain. Instead of sending his army to fight he sends in a squad of foot soldier, maybe accompanied by one slightly stronger enemy, to fight the team of heroes.
I'm more interested in what comes 'after' Betrayal Legacy because we know that anything with the word Legacy in it is an almost automatic include and they have said multiple times Betrayal would follow Pandemic.
HEROQUEST!! In the eu version searching for traps and secret doors are 1 action. I think you should adopt that rule. I play the us version but use the eu rule for that.
Oef. Let's hope they don't try gloomhaven. That games takes a loooonnnng time to finish and a quite a bit of time to set-up. Also it takes up a LOT of space on the table. Regardless, Gloomhaven is a fantastic game :D
Their next major purchase should be a gaming table, the kind with a recessed center they can set the games up in and place a top over when they aren't playing.
If you can't handle Paul at his Zargon, you don't deserve him at his Mentor.

AFK may have its second child, but CtS has its second grandchild now
my favorite game as a child and still to this day as an adult! loved all the references and funny commentary!

The camera friendly dice are pretty amazing!
Heroquest was my childhood. You guys rock.
I would love to see The Long Game include some Star Wars: Imperial Assault, Thornwatch, and Betrayal: Legacy
I'm 100 percent in favor of Imperial Assualt
@@pBlackcoat Yeah I really want to see Paul come out in an Imperial Officer Uniform.
“Chunk’s about to be blown!”
“Not dungeon head?!”
Could this show potentially be a venue for more Space Hulk? That'd be fun.
Could we please get a heroquest playlist? We have one for the legacy games, and this has been going on even longer
Someone made one here: th-cam.com/play/PLyAtmW3OoYv0CGajqxo2PMPX4z3mqXxWG.html

I had this when I was a kid. Wish I still had it. Such a great game

I CAN'T WAIT for the expansions. Usually people only play the main game. :D
Hero Quest is my favourite, looking forward to the final base mission.
Finally more heroquest
Oh man the reference to steve1989 mre reviews is so crazy. That is where that came from in my feed.
I always love when tech/the peanut gallery gets just as snarky as the players hehehe~
Adam on tech is amazing.
50:19, Today we learned Bankor and Molander are related. XD
Zargon is in the chaos wastes sending forces down. To get to him you'd have to cross the chaos hordes... think thousands of chaos warriors. oh and demons.
If I can suggest another really fun game for this kind of stream, me and my friends really enjoy Dragonfire, the DnD themed deck-building game.

1:58:22 Cam is a fellow connoisseur of Steve1989! Nice. Let's get these minifigs out onto a tray, erm, board.

Ben is wearing his Link glasses so everyone at the table has glasses.
A cool game to play would be Betrayal Legacy for The Long Game.
Definitely this!
they literally said they were going to play it after pandemic legacy
I'm more interested in what comes 'after' Betrayal Legacy because we know that anything with the word Legacy in it is an almost automatic include and they have said multiple times Betrayal would follow Pandemic.
Damn it Ben, you triggered my Alexa...
"it's one of those double Nintendos" Haha!
Me: Hearing them talking about Pandemic every few weeks.
Me: *sweats in post 2020*
I have a feeling, if they have it, that eventually Gloomhaven will appear on TLG
Adam!
Bankor looks a lot like Link :)
You guys should look into mansions of madness. It's a really fun game with an game app like Warhammer as well
Gah, really want to watch this but playing HQ at home and don't want any spoilers 😭 will return to watch another time
@1:07:20 Nothing has stopped you yet.
Please PLEASE upload the next quest soon. PLEASE?!
Warrior Monk Zapsworth MVP once again.

God, I remember Dino-Saucers!
Where did you get those dice from ?
Matt Dunn says Hey.
Isn't it dark for thirty days every Canadian winter?

Ever since Critical Role separated from Geek and Sundry to do their own thing there's been nothing worth watching and G&S for me.
