As a 63 year old man retired in AZ, I get such a nostalgic feeling watching you two bff's wandering around just making your own fun out of simple things. Yes, in my youth, I also knew that fun came inexpensively when you had a bff that you could pal around with that had similar interests. Fortunately we still have memories of those days, it is true that we sometimes say, "...had we these devices* in our day, can you imagine what we'd have in our video archive file folders? These are some of the best times life has to offer. They can and do still exist in my current days, as my bff lives 14 miles* away and he has been my bff now for 55 years! (*via our devices, 'Smart Phones', it's as if we are in the same room together, who would have ever guessed?)
These junkyards always put in two moods at once: I like seeing these beautiful old cars still existing, but then i get sad seeing no hope for any of them ever running again.

Who doesn't love an old junk yard? Spent the day in one a few years back in Will roads garden, Ks. looking for my Dad's ol' '64 Pontiac Tempest. Easy to rule out what was there as Dad had shaved off the door handles in the early 70's and had a hidden solenoid button. We didn't find it but had a blast and took a lot of cool pictures.

Let's just hope that this semi-tractor was intended merely for "tootling locally" around just the tri-county area for a few hours per day --- I surely wouldn't wanna "go truckin' for the long haul" in THAT tiny fishbowl! I mean, just look at how little space there really is inside that tiny glass-and-metal dome --- if even a slight-figured human like Mook barely fits in between the seat and the steering-wheel, imagine how claustrophobic a big hulking 18-wheeler dude would feel driving that rig from Saint Louis to Sacramento!
Maquoketa Caves! I've been there so many times. Just up highway 61 from perpetually flooded Davenport! The park was closed for a couple of years and re-opened in Aug 2018.
Down South it looks like we have to go "up north" for everything! That includes junkyards where they let people look around for old restores. Most of ours where I live don't afford us that luxury. They'd rather strip the parts, sell them, and turn the rest into a soup can.
Goodness, this place is a gold mine! Refinish those campers and pickups and you make good profit! Up here in Canada, it is next to impossible to find anything like that! Sat eats everything to the bone! Love the videos!

except my truck has a winch on it im very suprised our old v8 still runs to this day they just dont make em like they use to so glad to have our awsome truck it was mainly adopted by my dad and spent its WHOLE life in a garage that being said the FRAME is MINT CONDITION so it really proves keeping it for the hard stuff you have to move
