    So much bigger than I thought .
    You are one of the neatest and cleanest builders I have ever seen . 🎊🎉

    Looking good. Like the way the garden wall you built ties the structure in to the garden.

    Good detailed videos keep the good work up as the best part of your videos is you do not over complicate things and straight to the point. 👏🏼 👍

    Why no footage showing the actual bedding of the timber ? Just spent 5 minutes watching cement being slapped on the brickwork 😩

    Hi, thank you for the video, great as always.
    Are you required to fix the joists to the plate? If so how or what bracket do you use?
    Thank you

    I thought on a single skin wall you would need pillars like you did with the garden wall.

    • @darrenthebuilder
      @darrenthebuilder  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends on many factors. Garden wall is a lot less stable as it’s essentially free standing (no roof etc) we also are going to build an internal divided block wall in the house which will create addition support.

      @@darrenthebuilder no hate i was just curious. I'm in the process of pricing mine up which funny enough its the same size as this one you're doing. Thinking do i do double or single skin garage.

      Im just not keen on pillars as i want it as a man cave / workshop but want it built strong. Yeah the viddos have helped loads and i have watched that video. Very detailed it was brilliant 👍🏼

      Could lay the blocks on the pillar wall section on there flat to strengthen if your internal plans allow it suppose

      @@darrenthebuilder Thanks for the reply, Did you need to get planning permission for height if over 2.5

      Yes if it’s over 2.5m at the eaves end you will need.

  • @gdr88

    Are there rules around when you should use a wall plate and when you don't need it? Or just up to the builder?

    • @darrenthebuilder
      @darrenthebuilder  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually with flat roofs you can do both ways wall plate or without. I choose the wall plate so that I can then strap it down to the walls. That’s how I connect the roof to the house especially in these cases where height is an issue.

  • @Jp-jk1gj
    @Jp-jk1gj 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Really enjoying your channel! Keep up the good work. Is this over 2.5m? Also what’s the expected internal head height going to be?

    • @darrenthebuilder
      @darrenthebuilder  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks 😊 it finishes around 2.5. I think internal height is around 2.2m
