Gettleman’s method of trying to find pass rushing “Hog Mollies” worked for the Eagles this year until the Super Bowl. It can make CBs stars if they understand timing when the big guys are getting there early. Remember that JPP lost some fingers & the Giants kept him for a while. At the time they thought Barkley was going to help Eli get another Super Bowl.
No doubt the WR choices of the Giants has been bizarre. They got rid of good WRs like OBJ who was hurt at times but still good & brought in WRs who didn’t work out.

In all honesty I’d say the most important parts of the OBJ trade were sadly, Jabrill Peppers, whom was wasted, and 2 guys who are depth pieces on a playoff contender or pretender in Dexter Lawrence, and Oshane Ximnes, who are just what they are.
And that was Gettleman’s best move (maybe also trading out of the Justin Fields pick but those picks would be harnessed under Schoen). Yikes
