I just finished our run of Seussical, I was mrs mayor, and I’m gonna miss it soo much, there was a few issues like our mayzie dropping out tech week and then sour kangaroo getting switched to mayzie and the directors sister who was a bird girl getting moved to sour kangaroo and me becoming a bird girl already 3 shows in with 3 left, but I wouldn’t have traded any of it for the world :)

Man, I love when karma kicks in. So last year, I applied for props team and there was about five other people who applied (five spots open for props). I didn't get props team because my ex (who also applied) said that she couldn't work with me. But jokes on her and the director because about a few weeks before opening night, the director came up to me and said my ex and another person quit because of tennis. I got props and it was one of the best productions we've had for the year.

3:56 and some dont have dressing rooms. in each show ive been in, weve had the two dressing rooms one for guys on for girls, a big downstairs for everyone with a singular curtain to change behind in the dirty nook, an outdoor performance where you change at home, and one where the boys had to change in a tent or on the deck covered with what im pretty sure was tarps for privacy, while the girls got the overcrowded costume storage room.

I got yet another ensemble role in a musical I'm very passionate about, and the musical is happening next month, so I'm watching these to grieve and wait, even though next year's fall musical is Footloose and I can't dance so I'm 90% sure I'm gonna get ensemble AGAIN. I've never gotten a chance to show off my true talent, PLUS I was excluded from the show's group chat! Like, what the hell, guys? Sorry for ranting, I just needed to get that off of my chest cause I'm not ready to announce that to the cast.

I did my first musical this year and I got ensemble, I wasn't that upset due to it being my first musical and I was still just getting to know the cast and just being in theater in general. I don't have social media like SC or TikTok etc. so I too was excluded from the group chat, it was a little annoying because they created a lot of stuff that wasn't communicated with me but I didn't let it bring me down and make me feel left out, just talk to them and be yourself! I loved being in the musical though, I plan on doing the upcoming musical/musicals. I'm sure you're very talented, just be glad you even got into the show because it's really the experience that matters. I do understand your anger in being excluded from the group chat, that's dumb, just because you're ensemble doesn't mean you should be left out!

Also, I've known the lead for a year now, and one of the supporting leads for three years. How is it that this one girl with a pretty face but not a very pretty voice gets leads TWICE IN A ROW, whereas I keep getting ensemble and I consistently feel like crying due to it? I'm trying many methods of escapism, and none of them are working!
Sorry for ranting, I'm just mildly perturbed.

Dude on opening night of our show, the person who played Vivienne got Covid. We had to replace her with a girl playing a smaller role. She did great as Vivienne opening night, but then she got Covid too. So then the person who was playing Enid had to step in for Vivienne and we had to replace Enid with someone else. It was crazy but it was still fun!
