Love bearded dragons, have kept them for years.
Add some branches in the enclosure for climbing. Many people think bearded dragons are ground dwellers but they love to climb.
Here in qld Australia you often find them half way up a tree having a sleep.
Especially for young bearded dragons, branches and cover make them feel safe

We are long time viewers. We live in Central Florida. our family has watched every video you have multiple times. Mid-may I have to go in for a second very risky open heart surgery. To replace two of my valves inside my heart .My family are trying to keep a very positive outlook on the surgery. When I recover I would love that our family can contact you and purchase a iguana, Rock or rhino iguana 🦎🦎.
Cute. Bearded dragons sometimes have issues with the pores on the bottom of their rear legs clogging if they don’t rub on enough rough, abrasive surfaces when shedding. Like eye caps on snakes causing sight problems if not cleared clogged pores can cause mobility issues over time. _Just something to be mindful of._

happy for her new beardie. a warning though on grub pie.. always tongs!! even the sweetest beardie , becomes a t-rex with grub pie. and your fingers holding grub pie become food. and there is usually blood. my 1 beardie not wanna try, i was only moving it to other beardie when she grabed me with item.lol

Awesome! Now I hope Leo is getting old enough to pick out an awesome shelter dog so he has companionship too. I bet he misses that puppy y'all had briefly. You could also foster until the perfect dog comes your way. If Florida is anything like Arizona the shelters are overflowing and dogs are being euthanized daily due to lack of space:(

Heyy Kenan :) just be careful of how many mealworms you give at that age. I fed mine too many and he got impacted 😬 one vet trip later and lots of tummy rubs we sorted it out. But better safe than sorry! Those soldier fly larvae tho are perfect 👌 I call them the avacados of the bugs. Full of good fats!
I’m so glad she got a beardie! I have a dragon named Ember and an African Fat Tail named Barczyk they are my 1st reptiles and I couldn’t imagine not having them!!!!

remember the worst thing you do for any animal is over V them out of kindness. so be careful so don't let Ken over feed your lizard get in a daily schedule give them treats now and then as special rewards but not as an everyday thing Feed them their normal foods daily as much as they will eat but not more but don't let them pig out either I think you're going to do fine sophie. and I wish you the best of luck with dune.
I don’t recommend feeding dried as it can cause impaction, try sticking to a variety of live feeders and when dune gets bigger you slowly start leaning towards a more fresh veggie based diet 👍

Its awesome to teach and allow kids to have pets as long as they and parent make sure gets plenty of attention, clean cage and quality diet, and great place hide and bask. Plus, make sure heat and uvb lights are good.

Do not put water in with your dragon it can cause chest infections

Tanner (Serpa Design) knows Kenan, there’s a video of him visiting the Kamp. He also created an indoor paludarium for their mutual friend Charlie Moorecroft’s hatchling aquatic turtles. Along with a group of “YT herpers” he also helped create an outdoor pond for Charlie’s snapping turtle(s.) Tanner has an amazing sense of scale & aesthetics, a BFA degree in design in combination with wonderful carpentry skills. I’d totally recommend Serpa Design to anyone interested in scaping any enclosure; terrarium, paludarium,, aquarium, etc.. Tanner is top tier in his craft.

Fluker Box! I don’t have any reptiles, don’t want to get any reptiles, but this box opening has me rethinking that! Have fun Sophia….you have a great mentor!

Kidding i'm sure you know this but make sure that Sofia understands that when he sheds to make sure that his fingers shed too otherwise he can have problems as well as his tip of his tail you want to make sure the shed comes all the way off and then he needs some warm soakings to help that I would also put a rock like a volcanic rock to help him scrape off the dead skin the shedding skin. and if you want you could add some spring tails and isopods to the bioactive cage to help get rid of the sum of his waste and you could add some plants into some desert plants not cactuses but succulents would work any main nibble on them a little bit too jade plants I think might work well as well as stone plants which are little plants that look like stones they low grow low in the soil and they don't need much water but they they do appreciate some water now and then so you want to miss them down and miss the tank down too put the plants in the cool spot so they won't get scorched. I'm trying to think of other succulents you could add in any second plants from Australia would work because that's where they're from right australia? Then you can do a feature on Bearder Dragons in an upcoming video Here I was wondering is it Sophia's birthday that's what she got the bearded dragon Of then her presentation which was cool definitely hook her up to a birded dragon Facebook group she can learn chips and stuff and compare growth stuff with other people they shared pictures of her beauty dragon dune that's a cool name by the way. congratulations Sophia he is a beautiful boy And you have lots of fun with him And if you want to learn about repair dragons check out the animal one guy on youtube he has many bearded dragons most of them riskies so they've had problems and he's an expert or close to an expert on taking care of these creatures. and he does respond to questions asked of him if you're a patreon member. he does have lots of Bearded Dragon videos And he just has some monitor lizards as well It's a nice sky. I think there's some toys you can do get for your bearded dragon that you play with you can double check on his website on that website is TH-cam channel see what he does I know his vanilla monitors he has placed tug of war with us a lot I don't know if he can do that with bearded dragons or not You could find out. again congratulations You are a proud Mommy of a bearded dragon
It’s also the enlarged pores on the undersides of their back legs. If they get clogged they should be soaked or (in worst case scenarios) taken to a vet. They are much less obvious than the toes & tail tip but just as important.

Our two beardies never really took to that dried fluker food very well. They really preferred live super worms and fresh produce!
Most reptiles do prefer fresh over commercially prepared. I think mixing the two provides the animal with variety and supplies needed nutrients one or the other may be lacking.

Oh wow, awesome.I'm so happy that you guys got a breaded dragon.There's such awesome pets to have around kids.....I have one myself for 10 years, and I love him dearly,❤❤❤and Sophie you could go online and print out a Care sheet how to take good care of them and what to give to them and how and what signs they have when they get sick. I was 16 when I got my first Reptile and it was a beardie. I named him Nero aka Buddy. He lived to be 12 years old.
Dune doesn't know it yet, but he is one LUCKY LITTLE DRAGON !

There's a TH-cam of a house cat and bearded dragon who are housemates and buddies. The dragon literally has the run of the home and was introduced to the cat when he(?) was a kitten. They bonded quickly and go on walks (leashed) together! The two of them even nap together.
They are so bonded that the lizard often rides on the back of the cat! They keep a vest around the cat's shoulders and back so that the lizard doesn't claw into the cat's skin. Makes it easier for the lizard to stay on! It's like seeing He-Man ride on Battlecat! Or, I guess this would be Lizard Warrior riding on his Trained Cat?
Been to Australia how many times ? And you still keep it on the wrong substrate and feed the wrong foods, not one person in aus that keeps beardies feeds already dead foods only live foods🤦♂️ come on kenan us Aussies have taught you better man.. it's embarrassing.
The only thing I find right about this video is the size of the enclosure.

so this is cool, and its awesome to see kids getting into reptiles, and a beardie is a great start. however, Kenan have you looked into maybe getting a Chuckwalla? they are incredible, basically they are smaller iguanas, unlike beardies they are pure vegetarians, they tame up super easy, and in my own experience aren't as nippy as adult beardies. having owned several of each lizard over my life i can say Chucks are and underappreciated amazing pet lizard. plus they do not get big
You should give him fresh greens, and when they are young, it’s hard for them to digest the shell from the super worm and can kill them, I waited till my bearded dragons were about 10 months old when I gave them super worms, give him smaller meal worms instead. Also bearded dragons are very territorial so I would not cohabitate with small turtles because it can stress them out. But a beautiful beardie and I have two of them in separate Zen Habitat cages.
wow Sofia has grown, her voice has also changed. Glad you got someone you can do what you love with. My girlfriend hates car stuff so hopefully my future kid will like cars lol.
I wonder if my feeder cockroaches will eat cricket diet. I typically just give them a lot of vegetables, greens and fruit and occasionally some taste of the wild dog food for protein. I thought about giving some of the calcium fortified fluker diet to my feeder cockroaches since my toads and leopard geckos will be eating the roaches.
2 of my dragons love the crafted cuisine 2 won't touch it but they love the red food. Love love love fluker products.
Now we want weekly updates on dune! he's part of the camp and he needs to be covered. PS though let's slinky tell it here you say that he's the best lizard around we might pull another walkabout on you.

if she does a great job which I think she's going to do, next year maybe she can get a gecko? This is definitely better lives for her than the iguanas is that iguana was just too flighty for her they could be scary having an animal that's skittering all over the place no matter what you do. so this guy has got the temperament for her which is awesome plus it's an extremely calm and friendly creature and once the bond with her and you.

Ken and you forgot to get the forceps for Sophia so she could feed the lizard dune. I know you want to play with her lizard but it's her lizard let her play with it herself and teach and care for it and bond with it and then you can bond with it once she's bonded with it.
