- Here my thoughts on what I think we need in the remainder of the transfer window to push for promotion. Do we need a new GK to replace Patterson or a LB to cover injury prone Dennis Cirkin. Could be an expensive Centre Forward?

Inconsistencies through injuries doesn't warrant get rid and incontinence in out of position players also doesn't warrant get rid. This is not a team to push for promotion this is still the model in progress not the final product for a promotion push just to come straight back down with less cohesion and no team spirit. Just keep improving and see where it takes us and if it is promotion with the team we've got them so be it, but at least they will have the whole team together pushing for immediate promotion.

Great video Wayne! I think a full back should be brought in, on loan, who can play either left or right back. We definitely need that cover. Right winger is a must. I think Proveda has great vision and skill, but is a sick note waiting to happen. Definitely need a right winger and is a priority. A forward would be a bonus but I wouldn't be fussed if SAFC didn't bother. Let's see what comes about. I think we have a crackin squad and they're doing well. SAFC!

Completely agree with you about Patto, he just won't move off that line. The amount of goals conceded because of this should give warning signs to Regis. His foot distribution is shocking, how many times does he kick it straight out both flanks. He probably could do with a break if I'm honest so that the Goalkeeping Coach can work with him. He is young but as you said he's not improving.

For me Fullback is a priority followed by a forward - preferably a striker. I am a big Patto fan but agree he has stood still recently in development. I have faith in Seelt mind.
I agree we are seriously short at full back. If Seelt is fit he could be an asset for sure
Derbys are not with Yorkshire teams and grounds 35 miles apart you don’t get nerves ie butterflies when you play these weeks leading up to the game like you do with the mags personally I don’t know any boro fans but I know loads of mags that’s the difference just another game. Want the three points though without doubt
Bugs the hell out of me that comment," Come off the bench and try and protect the lead". That's everything that is wrong with Sunderland. How many points have we lost trying to do that. Just don't sit back , you're leading, just keep going for it.

I think I agree with much of what you said for transfer activity,fullbacks left and right to provide competition for Hume and Cirkin.Ballard(subject to fitness) needs to come back alongside Mepham but if there's a question mark we need to look at a centre half as I think there is weak spot there.
We all love Luke ONien for his effort and commitment to the team but you have got to look at the long term.
Shame about Poveda,just seems that the guy cannot get stay injury free with us and would be a better option than Robert's from what I've seen with him previously.
Robert's himself to me has had decent spells this season but in some games fills me with frustration.In front of goal for a winger his goal tally is really poor.
Could not believe Boro got in front of us for Whitaker as I'm sure he would not of been expensive and from what I've seen of him,he would of added bite up front.
Definitely need a striker,like Isidor and the improving Mayenda(if played central)Again I 'm not confident they will get us the goals to challenge the top two?? Akpon would be a dream,especially if he played in front of a central Le Fee!I think we have also been linked with Frigan and Jacobson from Preston??(neither I know much about)
With you with the goalkeeper situation,I think Simon Moore should be brought back,an experienced head and I think more commanding in the box.
Patterson,still young and learning,good shot stopper but areas of weakness in his game could cost us further,aerial command in the box,distribution .
As you say,goalkeepers from what I've seen in Premiership have to be good with their feet or with distribution,if not you will be punished!

For me a Striker and winger are the top priorities that need addressing before Monday's deadline, anything else would be a bonus, we could do with a versatile full back but unlikely to happen as things stand
Agree a striker to bk up E Mayende and W Isadore, a right winger to push Roberts for his place and replace if necessary.As his form and goal ratio has been disappointing to say the least. I right bk and left bk to replace Hume and Cirkin if either are injured. Anyone know where Pembelle is?

I agree with the majority of your views but I think Patto is still young in goalkeeping terms so he's got time to improve but yeah he does need to be more commanding and win more fouls that Keepers are given. As for Dan Neil I think he will be good enough for the Prem but why he maybe sold is he didn't sign a new contract in the Summer, unlike many others. I'm happy with the squad we've got but agree we need quality cover for full back and striker sometimes to hold the ball up for the last 10 minutes when we panic and play a 9 at the back 1 up front formation that's why we have shipped so many late goals we're hitting long balls and nobody to get on them and hold it up.
Also haven't seen enough of Le Fee but he's not as good as Mundle or Watson from what I've seen, think we have gone early with the Song.

The focus seems to be a striker with ability in the air which I think is priority. As for right wing Poveda was meant to be that competition to push Roberts of course but what we all feared with Poveda has turned out to be the case, can't get him match fit. Such a shame because we all know there's a good player in there be unless he's fit we are bare bones on the right. More full back cover too, agreed.

He has but only because of his fitness. if he’s fit I would start him over Roberts to give Roberts a kick up the arse.
Samed isnt the answer for me .Hes far to slow and slows the game down too much . He reminds me of P Bracewells era.
He’s not fit and I think it will take him a long time to get up to speed. Certainly shouldn’t be starting when we’re pushing for promotion.
I'd like to see Aouchiche more. He's direct and I think it's a matter of time til he scores. Need someone who can head the ball too. Isidor is weak with his head (so far). Only Ballard and Cirkin scored headers so far.

For me ideally i would like a fullback that can play both sides,competition for Roberts and another option as Striker. Dont think well get all 3 personalty i think well will only sign 1 player 2 at the very most yeah u could sign a goalkeepers but l think that only happens if we honest that only going to happen if Patterson leaves. Also expect the likes of Ba,Bennette, Anderson and probably Aouchiche to leave.

Yeah that’s a good point Jim, seems strange about Browne and the players have looked knackered in recent weeks too. Cirkin especially
One man's meat is another man's poison is the only analogy I can put to what you've said Wayne and the bottom line is that only time will tell but at the end of the day the club have staff and personnel to deal with the everyday running of the situation and they're a lot more experienced in that respect than we as fans are so untill anything drastic happens we have to trust them to do it.🔴⚪

Roberts is one of our most skillful players, they are petrified of him and double up on him every week, you always feel something will unlock with him, he may not score many but there is no better player at keeping a ball and threading a ball through, if he gets his crossing right he is a real assett
Can't agree there his form has been disappointing for the last two seasons .if we get an offer for him ,I think we shud take it 👍🤔
@malcolmdonnison3987 football is about opinions, but roberts when in full flow is tremendous, he dinks balls through too, his crossing needs improving but once there he is lethal, he holds the ball down the line too, there is a reason that the opposition double or sometimes treble up on him, its because he can hurt you
