- This is full tutorial for scrapbook album. I'm showing how to make covers and spine for album, all pages and decoration. Measurements and elements are the same for the album in thumbnail picture.
You will need:
► cardboard
► card stock - 220 gsm, 300 gsm
► scrapbook paper for decoration
► self healing cutting mat
► pencil, eraser
► scissors (amzn.to/2FM0A0p)
► glue, double sided tape, 3D foam tape
► scoring tool (amzn.to/2I42ISD)
► scoring board (amzn.to/2Undb2m)
► paper trimmer or rotary cutter(amzn.to/2HRkZDp)
► wooden clips
► ruler
► eyelet pliers
► magnets
► to make card stock circles, I use my Sizzix Big Shot Plus (amzn.to/2CYePxs) and cutting dies (amzn.to/2CZBN7h)

hey hun! So I absolutely adore this album! What I most especially love is how you have the “waterfall” type papers that let you add even more photos within the little space you already have. . . And you know how QUICKLY that space fills up with pictures and you run out of room yet still can’t part with the pictures you want in your beautiful scrap book…! You also have ones that are in a pocket type thing that have a 4x6 card you can take out of the pocket and add even more photos . . . So my question to you is what are those things called. Like what type of scrapbooking is that¿?!¿? And can I buy some already made I just can add my own background paper and my photos¿!?¡ I have been searching and searching to try and find them already assembled and I just customize it and go from there yet the problem is I don’t know the name of what I’m looking for to search to buy something like that. Is there anyway you could help me in that department and/or point me in the right direction. I’d be forever grateful and owe you big time!!¡!¡!!!

It’s card stock (220gsm with smooth surface). It may look like leather or textile because of camera and lighting.

Hi there, my name is Stacie and I love to craft no matter what it is as log as it’s got to do with paper crafting u will find me in amongst all of the scraps of paper or even next to the paint pots lol, but I have been hunting the internet to find a really good tutorial start to finish with every measurements needed and I have found this one, so what I am currently doing now is watching it for the first time and taking notes as for tomorrow I am going to be given it a try to make it I just need to pop down to my local range so I can get the putter cover for the album and also the cardboard too, and then it is off to work I go I have been looking for so so long and when I seen this one I new hat I wanted to try and give it a go and try to make it, I have never ever made a book or album I have gotten two sets of dies for the memory book that Jodie johnston makes from tonic studios but I will be using my own papers and I do really pray that the pages flips and flaps tucks and pockets mats and layers r all measured and I can complete the full album it has been one of the main things that got me crating was making cards but then it took my fancy to make a boo or album but like I said without the dies I wanted it to be hand made and I have been looking for so so long but I am super chuffed that I came across this video and I am so so super excited to see what it will look like when it is finished, so I want to take this time to thank u for posting this video I am going to thr rage in the morning once I have dropped my son off at school then I am off to work as the saying goes I really can’t wait to see the finished outcome and it’s all thanks to u so thanks for ur time that u gave to do this video yeah it has been some years ago but I have falling in love with it so writing everything down that I need to make a start on it tomorrow xx

If you use cardstock 300 grams for the spine, the pages move or pass normally? I use it this HEAVYWEIGHT cardstock, but.some crafters told me that it can break it . What do you think? Thanks for your help
For hinges I always use 300gsm card stock. The paper I’m using to wrap the outside of the covers and spine is 220gsm. Thicker card stock might break where the gap is between two cardboard pieces (between cover and spine). But if you are asking about the part where you attach pages to it shouldn’t be a problem to turn the pages if you use thicker paper. Just make sure you don’t attach page all the way down to the hinge, but leave around 1 mm space. That way the pages will be easier to turn around.

Where did you get the scrapbook papers from??
Card stock is from brand Fabriano. Designer paper is from european store Tedi (paper is their brand and is not part of a collection; they don’t sell it online).

I’m using transparent liquid glue Mekol Creative from brand Mitol for paper, wood and textile. It’s also solvent-free.

It’s from craft store bead.si. Brand of paper is called Fabriano.
Where in USA i can get the black cardboard sheet anyidea ?

The card stock I'm using is from brand called Fabriano. I get in in Arts and Craft Store in Slovenia. They don't ship it outside our country. The other brand of card stock I also use is Favini.

I am loving this as this is exactly what I was looking for in a tutorial I absolutely love this absolutely everything that u need to no u have put down it’s perfect this is can I ask do u have any more like this where u have all the measurements for absolutely everything u need to make it but a different one from this one if u do could u tag me in it please I would absolutely love to give that one a go to or any more things u have that is construction like this if not it’s fine but wowers I just can’t get away just how much time this must of took u to make this video, I am still taking notes at the moment so when I have finished I am giving it a go tomorrow I really can not wait to see how it turns out as I have the perfect papers just for something like this it’s going to lo9 so so good xx

It’s from xcut. I bought it in my local craft store in Slovenia, but they are also on Amazon and probably in some online craft stores.

I am using card stock from brand Fabriano, that is sold in local arts store (and is used for children's posters at school). Craftelier also sells card stock in A3 formats.

I'm in the US and have NEVER seen card stock that large. We have to piece it because the largest you can get it is 12" x 12". Please tell me I can order this card stock w/o paying an arm and leg for shipping. 😂 Thanks!
I found out on Favini’s website that Paper-papers are their US distributors. I don’t know if that’s true, since I live in EU. Here we have another problem. Card stock is the only thing that we can get easily. All other supplies and tools are hard to find in stores.

Same goes to me... local area in Malaysia hard to find the biggest sizes and that thickness is till 220gsm only,
You can try making each cover page separately and then connecting them.
You could probably use poster board.

When you use the hole-puncher I see that it has like a plastic ring on it. Where can I get those little rings? Or is it just the lighting that makes it seem like there is something there and not just a hole.
These are eyelet pliers and I am attaching metal eyelets to the paper. They reinforce a hole in the paper so it doesn’t tear any further. The ones in a video are just regular eyelet pliers that are available on Amazon and in other stores. We R Memory Keepers has a fancier version of them called Crop-A-Dile.

Can I ask why you add liquid glue in addition to the double sided tape?
I was using both liquid glue and tape at the beginning, when I just started scrapbooking. I thought albums would be more durable, but it's enough to use only one type of glue. I prefer to use quality liquid glue, because tape tends to loose it's stickiness after some years.

Make sure that the paper is thick enough, but not too thick as it might crack and tear. I would suggest using a paper that weighs around 200 gsm.
