@@hawkrider88 She should be the biggest thing in show business I really believe. Her presentation alone is always spectacular, just a superb entertainer. You know, she plays trumpet too!
@@jsolomonmusic Absolutely, Jeff. As my dad would've said from the jazz lexicon, "She's somethin' else." He was a bass player, born in '18, came of age during Swing and from 1935 did nothing else professionally. As Faulkner put out there, "The past is never dead. It's not even past."
Very nice and refreshing to enjoy such entertainment... however, at 2:40 I certainly wouldn't expect Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly to simply walk away from Ms. Swift's tumble without at least offering a "gentleman's" hand back up - or perhaps, in contrast maybe he could've put a hands-on-hips stance with a bit of a wry smile and a... "what exactly are you DOING there on the floor" kind of look on his face, before helping her up. It would have complimented her tumble and turned it into an 'interaction' as opposed to no reaction, instead of turning his back with no emotion and walking away, on his part. It may seem like a subtle criticism, however it would have added eveidence of a necessary 'sweetness' between them, and in doing so been the 'cherry on the cake', as they were taildoving into the rest of their "fine romance" duet. That was the pinnacle of the whole dance routine. Fun and funny idea - but, still - it takes two to 'tangle' ;))
...classy...we need more of this...
My preferred Swift. By far.
Love the way they changed the words, very modern and down to earth in the current situation, but it all still sounds so groovy
Dancing too!!! My God!. This generation! Swift/Jewison - what a fine romance!
And she dances too? Wow. Both great talents.
What doesn't she do....and do well. Veronica is an overwhelming talent!
