"Lord have mercy, Lord, Lord have mercy on me. Please help me find my baby and send her home to me." Whether your interest is in the blues, country or rock, this song delivers. As a young southern boy who grew up listening to the Allman Brothers Band I feel blessed that they became part of my make-up. They set the standard for every band that have and /or will follow them. Now, that I have recently turned 68 years young, I can honestly say there has not been any band that has even come close to the magic the ABB created.
I don't think anyone could understand my experience. That of a Northern 14 yr old girl in 1981 (at the time) with whom The Allman Brothers Band became my #1 Favorite Band....... Always! ❤ I balled my eyes out the day you died Gregg, yet I smile broadly every time I hear you play. Thank you for the JOY you've given me over 40yrs!
Derek Trucks does justice as a 'stand-in' for his hero (and influence) the late Duane Allman. All the emotion and then he brings himself in on it. How cannot you not just love the rendition. All-time classic and they OWNED this one over the decades. (Didn't realise the Drummer was his uncle).
Thank You Gregory for sharing your Life & Music with us.

The Allman Brothers Band expertly performed T-Bone Walker’s immortal 1947 number ”Call It Stormy Monday (But Tuesday Is Just as Bad)” during their 2013 residency at the Beacon Theatre on March 6th. The band’s eponymous brothers, Duane and Gregg Allman, had been performing that blues classic since the early days of The Allman Joys, and it has been a celebrated addition to the repertoire of the Allman Brothers Band for over four decades.
RIP, Greg Allman. You carried the band for decades, after your brother Duane left us so early in his career. Now, may you both mingle with the stars, together once again.
Gregg, Duane, Barry, Butch and Dangerous Dan Toller are holding it down in Rock n Roll Heaven and they are just waiting for Jaimoe and Dicky to show up.
Good chance I was at this show, I'd go every year with my late father, damn I miss those times... Derick is coming to town, I got my tickets, I'll forever attend just for a wiff of that feeling I got from these beacon shows, its priceless to me now
We're sure gonna miss you Greg, and that sweet B-3 Hammond sound you brought to rock music .. We were damn fortunate to have you with us when we did and enjoyed all the fine music you and the band created over the years ... I hope you keep on rockin in the next one....
This is one of those beautiful song s that move you to just close your eyes, get your heart and your brain together and sway your head to the beat! So smooth. Not much more to add than BEAUTIFUL! Wow! Wish we could have more!
My favorite Allman Brothers song is Stormy Monday. It is now Dec 2022, not only do I have to say Rest in Peace to Duane Allman, but now I have to say Rest in Peace to Gregg Allman as well.
One of the best blues pieces to fuck to, just follow the rhythm of the lead guitar. Thanks forever for the music, Duane, Greg, Dickey, Berry, Jai and all the guys in the best band ever!
I'm learning the Barry Oakley bass lines off of the Fillmore track which is amazing and somewhat of a bugger to learn on the Organ solo . But this guy does an awesome job also.
Some you tube videos really capture it all. Perfect sound perfect high def video and one HELL of a performance. One of my all time favs. Thanks Lightning Man!
all your comments make me proud to kñow there ate still folk in world witj compation for oyhers wow to jave just read all theses makes me wanting to keep liviñg a reason to live thank hod for all of yall keep them comin man please❤❤
Always wanted to see them play the York Fair in PA, but unfortunately never got the chance. Just like my mood picked up after Christmas this year, this song picks me every time I listen. Guitars, Hammond, and GA smooth out the troubles. Thanks guys.
We won't see anything better than this anymore. No band can't compete than ABB.I will regret that i've never seen live concert ABB,because i live in stupid Europe in small country Slovenia.
Thanks, LL. I love this performance. Can't wait til you get more from this Beacon run back up. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. I ate way too much. But, it was oh so good. Not as good as this, though.
Just think dereck trucks and the great Duane Allman on the same stage at the same time and brother Gregory Allman doing vocals what greatness that would be
jusy lookin at this sweet real deal man an im so blessed msn it mskes mr cry but not in bsf way im lookin up sayin man thanl u gor lovin me when in passed could noy even love my self we made it folks ❤❤❤
I don't believe I've ever heard Derek play a solo and it's not given me goosebumps, he brings his "A" game every night! Oh, and by the way, Warren's no slouch either 😊
its 4 musicians I would have liked playing together and that is SRV and Hendrix together and Duane skydog Allman and Derek Trucks - not all 4 together but SRV and Hendrix and Allman and Trucks ---- would have been 2 highlights in the story of guitar music
Bob Cardenaz Updated to 8..wth is wrong with people ? This HAS GOT TO BE one of the finest versions of this song they EVER did. I love the early versions with Duane and Dickey but Derek really learned how to "take it home" as many times as he's played it since 2000...? Am I right ?
Derek sounds great but Warren doesn’t take a back seat to anyone, great solo and his rhythm playing is off the charts. Greg sounds good as always, but a little tired. Not quite as energized as usual, but still absolutely brilliant
THE GREATEST SONG IN HISTORY EVER RECORDED LIVE FOR EVERYONE TO ENJOY UNTIL THE PLANET IS NO MORE!
IN CAPITALS

Absolutely! Saw the Bros in 1968/69, I was 17 in Riviera Beach, FL. They were still just playing local joints.
I've been hooked my whole life.
True that
My sentiments ❤😢
Copy that, bro. I feel exactly the same way, my favorite band of all time by a mile..
The Best of the Best, rememberin, versión. 1971 with Duanne Allman guitar lead 🎸🎸🎸🥁🎹
Many blues men cover this song. All do it justice! The Allmans do it the best!!!
Took a minute to wipe away the tears. Utterly sublime peformance
The absolutely unquestioned greatest Blues song ever!
I don't think anyone could understand my experience. That of a Northern 14 yr old girl in 1981 (at the time) with whom The Allman Brothers Band became my #1 Favorite Band....... Love love LOVE the Allman Brothers band, greatest live band of all time, my favorite band ever!
Beautiful testimonial I totally relate to

Stand in? lol...
Derek and Warren are great, but no one reach Duane.
Stand in? That's laughable! Duane was great, true, but Derek Trucks is 2nd to none.
@@scoobydoo1726 amen 🙏 I'd like to give you a scooby snack for the most excellent response
DT is better than Skydog ❤️🙏
Man this is Epic. I wore this track out on my vinyl copy of "Live at the Filmore" as a teen!
I was there that night. Was like church!! A blessing to see it one last time !!!
Thank You Gregory for sharing your Life & Music with us.

Instead of the usual four hour jam, they have started a forty hour jam....Lots of time to play in eternity.
Gregg, Duane, Barry, Butch and Dangerous Dan Toller are holding it down in Rock n Roll Heaven and they are just waiting for Jaimoe and Dicky to show up.
, I've listened to a lot of different versions of this song but in my opinion this is the best of them all.
This is a great version of an amazing song, just fantastic..long live the Allman Brothers band!
Good chance I was at this show, I'd go every year with my late father, damn I miss those times... Derick is coming to town, I got my tickets, I'll forever attend just for a wiff of that feeling I got from these beacon shows, its priceless to me now
Gregg's voice is so soulfull.

There is no substitute or imitation of a Hammond B3.
The picture of Gregg sitting on his Hammond B3 in front of his gorgeous sounding Leslie speaker cabinet gives me goosebumps!
That’s the kind of blues I’ll love to hear Derek the greatest slide player play more of he’s fantastic ❤️
This is one of those beautiful song s that move you to just close your eyes, get your heart and your brain together and sway your head to the beat! So smooth. Not much more to add than BEAUTIFUL! Wow! Wish we could have more!

Lord, have mercy on me...........
One of my favorite renditions of this T-Bone Walker classic. Check out The Candymen from 1967, who evolved into the Atlanta Rhythm Section.
Just checked out the Candymens version. Very well done cover
Thanks.
listening to that is like a religious experience...RIP Gregg Allman
Damn fine version of Stormy Monday.. You just can't beat a classic ....
I'm learning the Barry Oakley bass lines off of the Fillmore track which is amazing and somewhat of a bugger to learn on the Organ solo . But this guy does an awesome job also.

Gregg all man is the greatest white blues singer ever !!!!!!!!
Yeah its great , I love it but how about focusing just a few shots of the bass and other members of the band ehy .
Because this one is about Gregg and Derek.
Both versión are very good but the 1971 fillmore is a contemporary snd Duanne Allman played that concert 🎸🎸🎸🎹🥁
Best version EVER, no disrespect Duane or Warren but Derek just kills and Oteil Burbridge IS Bass Guitar.
DT absolutely kills its
Warren Hayes built his own place in the brothers,
