I think $100 is a pretty big steal for this thing. Granted it was originally released and optimized for Windows 10, and yeah, the specs are low, but at $100 you won't find a better laptop. I think my biggest issue with the one I have is the stupid calculator keyboard, sometimes you accidentally turn it on and just start typing numbers.
For $100, you get a nice little portable media player, it's great for throwing in luggage and using while on vacation, or sitting in bed and watching videos. Cheap enough to not really care what happens to it, but high quality enough to not look or feel like garbage. It's a pretty impressive little thing in that regard, and a landmark to how far we've come with budget laptops, imo. Gaming on it was kinda silly, imo.

I bought this laptop for $140 purely for web browsing, emails, and youtube. But the model I have is Asus L210 which is different from the one you have. And I'm able to run Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars + Serious Sam 1 & 2 with no frame rate drop and runs very smooth. Also it weighs like 2lbs and has 12 hour battery life which is really good for this price. Highly recommend this laptop over a Chromebook that's within the $150-$300 price range. I've managed to run like 6 tabs as well so it's proficient enough to use for basic tasks.

I got one of these similar things from Lenovo for $140, it was actually AMD based but otherwise had very similar specs and I was pretty surprised with how useable it was for normal everyday things. These low budget laptops really are for students and old people who just need to access the internet and type word documents, and for that purpose I much prefer something like this over a chromebook. I mean, if you needed a cheap laptop for office work, I don't see a problem with this. When my job transitioned to work from home, a couple of my coworkers needed to get something, and this would've fit the bill nicely (most of my coworkers didn't have a 12900k/3080ti PC with 2 monitors to work from home on). Work from home most of the time uses a remote app like Citrix, and that can certainly handle this. You sure aren't going to be playing games on it, but that isn't the point of a machine like this. I would NOT judge a $109 laptop by how well it can run games. I do agree that something like a Chromebook would be a better value, but this works for the price.

I purchased the same laptop from Walmart 4 months earlier and it was $10 cheaper! And it's not a bad laptop! Unlike Rich, my experience was much better. Mine came with 128gigs of storage, which was much better. I installed Office and a 10 year old copy of Photoshop and it works just fine for lite office work or photo editing. Can also do lite gaming. And watching TH-cam videos was just fine at 1080p. I own 4 laptops and for quick use or grabbing and going due to it's size and weight, it's either this or my 4 yr old MacBook Air!
My only gripe was the trackpad, some times I accidentally turn on the stupid numpad while using the trackpad. Other than that it works great for office and lite gaming. And for $100, it's a steal! I also believe this to be a great laptop for young kids and grandma and grandpa. Unlike Rich, it's a decent laptop for the money!

It's also great for emulation like NES, N64 and Playstation one. You can add storage but don't use it for the OS and storage because it will drain your laptops battery faster than it can charge it. I use the NVMe SSD just for storage only. Oh and you can't upgrade the RAM on it but it works fine without it. Forgot to mention, it is better to take it out of S Mode. Some GameCube games work but the emulation is not too amazing. The integrated graphics can only be pushed by its current limitations.

Fun thing about these little Asus E210/E410/E510 laptops - they've actually got NVMe slots in them! Throw a cheap SSD in that and close programs if you're not using them, they're pretty OK once you do it. But a gaming powerhouse, these are not.

Oh nice. I am bummed that he didn't take the back off the thing and show us the motherboard. I expected soldered on ram and emmc but didn't know it had m.2 on it (is the ram soldered in? That's another thing I'm curious about). It makes it slightly better then my 2008 HP 2500 laptop. No joke that thing has a faster CPU in it then this thing too. :P (a Core 2 Duo at 1.5ghz. :P )
The storage solution my 2008 laptop has would have been faster then thing had it just had the emmc. But maybe it would beat it out with a m.2 SSD installed. :P

For that price I would buy it. A small laptop (glorified netbook basically) that can run TH-cam and Twitch fine, maybe do some work on it using Office and the browser, decent build quality, decent sound, and heck if W11 is too heavy for it you could probably just install Chrome OS Flex on it and save a bit more resources.
With that price at least in my country you can only buy used laptops from 10 years ago that don't even hold charge anymore.

I bought one of these cheap ASUS laptops with the intention of putting Linux on it from the outset. I didn't even boot into windows. I just immediately wiped Windows and installed Linux and as a Linux laptop it is perfectly competent for web browsing, desktop applications, and video streaming. It is even quite quick and responsive which I doubt would have been the case if I had left Windows on it.
Edit: I've been playing Tie Fighter on it in DosBox and it works very well for that also.

I have the AMD 3020e variant of this laptop from HP. It has a touchscreen too. The 3020e performs better than N4020. I made my research before getting into these eMMC laptops. Swapped out the same 4GB ram stick and replaced it with an 8GB DDR4 2300MHz stick. The 3020e performs nice and completes daily tasks without a hassle. I've paid $119 for mine plus the 8GB ram so it costed me like $150 in total and I can't complain. If you're really thinking about getting a dual core eMMC laptop, go for the AMD 3020e processor. It won't disappoint.

Sometimes I like cheapo netbooks like this for installing Linux on and and doing light emulation/gaming among other things. I had a 200$ Asus I used for years. It had a touch screen which I discovered was great for blitz chess. When I parted with that netbook I got another one without a touch screen. It served it's purpose until one day I closed it and the zipper on my sleeping bag snagged the screen and it broke. (You could still use HDMI but I already had a desktop so I haven't used it since)
Some day I might get another one for carrying around with me. I'll definitely get one with a touch screen or at least a decent screen protector though.
