Great video. I personally think this is a great lesson for all those trying to immigrate to Canada. Immigration is a privilege and not a right. Immigration requirements are set by IRCC to screen people that are “worthy” to come and permanently stay in Canada. We can’t just come to Canada and say we are worthy based on our own standards. It will always be to their own standard. I’m glad that things are working okay for you now somehow. All the best!
Thanks Rachel for this! Honestly no matter how much you prepare, there will always be a a curveball to throw you off course. In my case, there were no exemptions for covid related furloughs so I cannot make my hours at all. It feels like you become super defeated. Not easy at all!
You are correct! 💕 There’s really no way of guaranteeing PR in Canada as it depends on several factors; one being merit and hard work, and the other being timing and luck. That’s why immigration is more of a privilege than a right. When people come to Canada with that in mind, they’ll be less disappointed come what may ☺️

Hi Rachel, I know this is a year late comment/question, I just saw your video today. I came to Canada 20 years ago on a work permit and I’m just reading and watching videos now to learn more about the Study Visa so I can bring my nephews/nieces here hopefully. My question is: I thought before, when one submits an application for PR - that person has implied status until a decision is made. Which means (I think, my knowledge of this is a bit rusty and outdated), one can work full time anywhere. Was/is it different for a study permit holder?
Hello! In that situation, could we just come back home and wait for ITA without staying in Canada via visitor visa? Because living in such an expensive country without any income, it's too cruel.

Hi Rachel! I was wondering if I get this right. So your 1 year pwgp starts when they approved your permit? For example, you worked after gradating, and 3 months later they approved your pgwp that expires a year later from the day of approval? Thank you for your videos!

Hi Chyron, Great to know that its helping you with your application. I wish you the best on your application and hope that you land in Canada soon. All the best. 😊
Hi Rachel Is it required when applying to the Canadian Experience class after graduating from a two-year program and after working in Canada for a year that you have a university education and practical experience in your country to obtain an invitation to permanent residence? I watched some of your videos, they are amazing 👏🙂

Actually correction: 1. Canada has 2 official languages, so you could have had French instead (either language is accepted) 2. CBL 5 is only for Federal skilled trades applications. Federal skilled workers must have CBL 7 from one of the official languages (in all 4 skills, so just having average 7 is not enough). 3. Having 1 year work experience as a skilled worker within past 10 year (counted backwards both from the day of ITA and from the day of AOR), full stop. If you have 1 year or work experience in Canada within past 3 years, that will get you into CEC category (there are some perks there like when such work experience for CEC does not have to be continuous unlike for FSW or FST applicants). Also speaking of CEC, your part time work during your studies will not count, even if under other circumstances part time work would count (for 20 hours one would need 2 years of such work experience). That is only for work and study in Canada, because you are getting extra point for Canadian diploma. (however 1 year of Canadian work experience is most of the cases worth more points). 4. Express entry is counting work experience using full months (this is a known weakness), however then your application is assessed days are counted. So in worse can scenario EE can add you almost 1 or more virtual months (if you have started to work at the end of the month). That's why always check it manually if you actually meet requirements (it is manually checked by agent and people were rejected because of missing time and missing points). 5. Be aware province can issue additional provincial law or guidance to automatically reject LMIA for certain professions (Alberta did it). That is because LMIA is closed work permit (bound to specific employer).
@@rrdancel nope I am not. Part of that knowledge was to prepare my own PR application. Your point of view was mainly as CEC. Not everybody can qualify as CEC, thats why I was pointing out that requirement depend on that. You have also not mentioned one more important thing - 67 points treshold. (this was more or less taken from the old system).
Hi. Is it okay to take the IELTS exam in Canada instead here in the PH when I’m about to apply for a pr? I’m planning to study in Canada next year and I have an agency helping me out, they said I don’t need to take an IELTS exam anymore because of the school I graduated from.

Hi. I’ve been watching your videos lately. I just wanted to know if the 1yr full time work experience must be continuous, or it could be cumulative like 4 months full time work on 1st yr summer time, and another 4 months or more the next yr. Thanks!
Oh I thought you need an AOR not an ITA to qualify for BOWP. And AOR is typically received after at least eight months after submitting the PG application. That's the info I gathered from forums
Yes, you need the AOR or proof you've submitted a PR application in order to be eligible to apply for a BOWP. That's on the premise that you also received an ITA for PR (if you applied via Express Entry) :D
Difficult situation indeed! Fast foods like McDonalds in Kelowna and other far flung places are sponsoring LMIA. Have you considered that while waiting for your PR?
Hi josevich, I actually tried to apply for an LMIA but sadly the employer was not onboard. And by the time I look elsewhere, my PGWP would have expired anyway. But I guess things happen for a reason, it wasn't clear to me that time when i was in the dark but looking back it made sense why some things didn't push through. Happy it worked out for me either way :)
thank you! this is very helpful! may I know why you had to lose your work permit? aside from you'd wish you studied longer, would you think it helped if you've started your application to get new work permit months before your pgwp expires? or pr was/is only the way? I am asking so as many can avoid this very stressful situation
Am South African, agent Mia from the Canadian E-Immigration helped me get my Canadian visa in less than 2weeks for just 1000CAD. She can help you too. You can contact her via her email
Hi Stephanie, thank you so much. I try hehe :) So I opted for a visitor visa because it wasn't not possible for me to extend my Work permit, since being issued a PGWP only happens once in your lifetime. There are only 2 possible ways to extend it: 1. Getting a Closed Work Permit such as LMIA (employer-sponsored permits) which is difficult because not all employers are onboard with sponsoring a foreign worker when they have citizens and PRs available to hire at no cost. 2. There’s also the Bridging Open Work Permit, but you can only apply for that if a) you have already submitted a PR Application AND b) right before your PGWP Expires. I received an invitation to apply for PR AFTER my PGWP expired, so I was too late to qualify under BOWP. So unfortunately, I had to extend my stay as a visitor in the meantime while waiting for my PR Application to push through. Hope this answers your question ❤️ Take care and keep safe ☺️

Hi Rachel, I just came across your channel and find it very interesting. We migrated thru Family sponsorship in 2014. I’ve lived in 3 provinces Ontario, Alberta and now BC LOL. We are relatively new here, used to live in Vancouver but we had incidents where our car has been broken into. Never felt safe ever since. Finally, decided to move here in Surrey. But my brother tho he is coming early next year via Study Program. He will go to VCC Downtown. Sorry i said alot of stuff LOL. You and your channel have been very helpful.Thank you. ☺️
Wow you came a long way! Must have been an exhausting move but I’m glad you found to settle your roots in BC 😊❤️ Also very sorry you went through that experience but kudos to you for powering through. Thank you so much for sharing this! And all the best to your brother in his journey to Canada. He is very fortunate to have you to support him during this tricky process but I’m sure he’ll do great 😊❤️
Some professions may need you to take a certificate of qualification before practising in that field, but for some jobs you do not need to take a test - you just need to go through the usual job application process. So it also depends on what type of job you get 😜👍 But qualify qualify for PR need to work in a skilled level job (NOC A,B, 0) for at least one year 😊👍
hi, thank you for sharing your story.. i saw your other video and u got ur PR approved, congrats! do you u mind sharing what are the list of requirements you prepared for EE? thanks.

Hi, thanks for the question! 😊❤️ I didn’t review for IELTS. I do watch TH-cam videos to help me practice for the speaking and listening test, you may want to check that out as well as I find it to be a very helpful resource! 😊👍
i got an offer and has to be doing alot of paperwork and was wondering whther i get scam or not, its really really uncomfortable the good things are: -not paying lots of money -not receiving LMIA nor Job offer yet and i was being arranged by a consultant, but the consultant keep his profile very2 low and almost like a suspicious person altough i always trying to believe that professional worker are like that, that keept it confidential so the news dont spread
I showed mostly my pay stubs from working in Canada and tax slips here. So I saved like $20k? But basically try to show them at least $12,960 as proof of funds (settlement funds for 1 person per year) 😊
Immigration usually is a start from scratch and not a self runner. Even with 4 years of work experience, great ielts score and a job offer I‘m barely around the current cut of scores. Age bites 😉. Keep up your good spirits and stay as positive as you are. Remember, although Canada has quite some interesting or crazy immigration rules, there’s usually always a way to turn things positive. You‘re definitely smart enough 🙂.
Your comment is the reason why i get so excited making videos. I get to come across intelligent people like you. I couldn't have said it any better myself. Thank you for imparting your wisdom and for your encouragement. I do hope everything pans out well for you :D God bless and take care!
Hi graduated as Computer Engineer and now I'm a Computer Programmer. Based on NOC it is Skilled level Type A My purpose is to migrate and start a new life in Canada. Some agents suggests to to take a year of study in Canada while applying for PR. My question is, does my education and work experience will have an impact of getting a PR without dealing the same scenario that you had? Please help me. I have enough savings to process any fees it's just I really need to know the advantages. Thank you for this awesome video!

Its a bit difficult as Canadian colleges/universities require that you have decent English in order to be accepted into one of programs. Those schools will require an assessment of your transcript. However, there may be a longer path for you to study in Canada. Please message me on insta if you require a bit more assistance

I was keen optimistic to travel to Canada, I tried all I could to get a Canada visa I failed for three years, A medical doctor based in Canada referred me to Mr Ethan Lucas and his team really guided me through and I migrated to Canada in 2021 successfully at affordable cost.

Hello, unfortunately I am not the right person to ask advice on that matter because 1. I did not go through a process similar to yours po 2. my knowledge about LMIA is very limited. Sorry if I’m not much help, I just don’t want to answer when uncertain... just wanting the best for you too. It may be better to ask a consultant or immigration lawyer to help you with that. Best of luck, I hope you get a positive LMIA ☺️👍

Hi, it took me some time to get ITA bc I couldn’t meet IRCC’s cutoff score. It’s a competitive points based system, my score was lower than their cutoff score for a long time until covid happened. To know how express entry works, I explained it here: th-cam.com/video/EYrBE5e8sYw/w-d-xo.html

Are you an immigration consultant?
@@rrdancel nope I am not. Part of that knowledge was to prepare my own PR application. Your point of view was mainly as CEC. Not everybody can qualify as CEC, thats why I was pointing out that requirement depend on that.
You have also not mentioned one more important thing - 67 points treshold. (this was more or less taken from the old system).
Thankyou so much for this video! Helped me a lot, also your other videos. ❤❤ still on processing my application for SP.🙏🙏🙏
I’m glad you found it helpful, yehey! ❤️
Hi. Is it okay to take the IELTS exam in Canada instead here in the PH when I’m about to apply for a pr? I’m planning to study in Canada next year and I have an agency helping me out, they said I don’t need to take an IELTS exam anymore because of the school I graduated from.
Would you kindly send a direct message on Instagram?
rrdancel Hello po, I recently sent you a message on ig. Thank you! 😊

Hi. I’ve been watching your videos lately. I just wanted to know if the 1yr full time work experience must be continuous, or it could be cumulative like 4 months full time work on 1st yr summer time, and another 4 months or more the next yr. Thanks!
Thank you for this helpful content. May I ask if the PGWP can be extended?
Really helpful and interesting video. I'm going through the same feelings you've shared.Thank you and best wishes!
I’m hoping you’re doing well now 🥺🤗 Stay hopefully and strong.
I can relate to it. I hope you get your PR approved by now.🙏🏼
Hi Chef, I actually did get my PR approved!!!!!! Thank you for your support.
I am asking so as many can avoid this very stressful situation
hello ma'am. just commenting here again hoping you would see my previous question already. thank you and keep safe!
Hey I loved the video, Do you know the types of test that are done for your medical after you get your study visa?
They will advise on you when you get to the clinic. Make sure to bring all your documents.

This is very inspiring! Just one question why did you opt for a visitor visa and not a bridging visa?
Hi Stephanie, thank you so much. I try hehe :)
So I opted for a visitor visa because it wasn't not possible for me to extend my Work permit, since being issued a PGWP only happens once in your lifetime. There are only 2 possible ways to extend it:

Hi Peanut & Co,
Thank you for watching my video. Are you here on a study permit and living in Surrey?
Hi Rachel,
I just came across your channel and find it very interesting.
Must have been an exhausting move but I’m glad you found to settle your roots in BC 😊❤️
Also very sorry you went through that experience but kudos to you for powering through. Thank you so much for sharing this! And all the best to your brother in his journey to Canada. He is very fortunate to have you to support him during this tricky process but I’m sure he’ll do great 😊❤️
When life sucks, at least it instructs.
Good luck & God Bless! 😊
You got it!! 💯 you win or you learn...then you share HAHAHAH! ❤️😜
Before creating Express Entry profile.
I need to write,,to write IELTS TEST??
Hi! Are there any requirements or tests you need to take to work there for a year? (Prior to PR)
Some professions may need you to take a certificate of qualification before practising in that field, but for some jobs you do not need to take a test - you just need to go through the usual job application process. So it also depends on what type of job you get 😜👍
But qualify qualify for PR need to work in a skilled level job (NOC A,B, 0) for at least one year 😊👍
@@rrdancel Got it :)
It depends on the job you’re applying for, some require to take an exam or certification before hiring, while others do not.
hi, thank you for sharing your story.. i saw your other video and u got ur PR approved, congrats!
do you u mind sharing what are the list of requirements you prepared for EE? thanks.

Hello. Hope all is well. Just like to inquire did you review first for IELTS and where did you review there in Canada?

Hi Rachel what editing app are you using? :)
Hi dear! I use Inshot and iMovie 😊
i got an offer and has to be doing alot of paperwork
and was wondering whther i get scam or not, its really really uncomfortable
the good things are:
-not paying lots of money
-not receiving LMIA nor Job offer yet
and i was being arranged by a consultant, but the consultant keep his profile very2 low and almost like a suspicious person
altough i always trying to believe that professional worker are like that, that keept it confidential so the news dont spread
Hi, how much did you show as POF when you changed status from worker to visitor? Thank you.
I showed mostly my pay stubs from working in Canada and tax slips here. So I saved like $20k? But basically try to show them at least $12,960 as proof of funds (settlement funds for 1 person per year) 😊
Hello, I want to ask a question! Which IETLS Test did you take for EE? Is it: IELTS (Academic and General Training)?
I took the general training for express Entry
I took the academic when I initially applied to come to Canada as a student. 😊👍
Cheer up! Hoping you for the best! 😘
Thank you, I will
Hi Rachel! May I ask whats your status in canada while waiting for your PR?
I’m currently on a visitor record while waiting! ☺️ Hopefully PR is just around the corner 🥺

Based on NOC it is Skilled level Type A
My purpose is to migrate and start a new life in Canada.
I would recommend that you get assessed by professionals in Canada. Please avoid agents in the Philippines as they give the most inaccurate information. Please email me if you need a referral rrdance@canxvisa.com

Its a bit difficult as Canadian colleges/universities require that you have decent English in order to be accepted into one of programs. Those schools will require an assessment of your transcript. However, there may be a longer path for you to study in Canada. Please message me on insta if you require a bit more assistance

i have a question Miss RR, can I work full time after the employer submit my LMIA application? Habang inaantay ko po ung decision.
