Officer, I am thankful that you did make a full recovery from all your critical injuries. There's not many officers that have survived from their injuries. Since I have read and watched this ceremony. This was an inspiration for me to keep you and your family and friends and other fellow officers in my thoughts and prayers every day. May God bless you all, all the time.

He’s extremely brave! Any other person in his shoes wouldn’t have come back to the job, would be traumatized. His courage says a lot about him. God bless you trooper.

Poor fella still has a gait. I hope he gets stronger day by day. Not many people can say they walked away such horrific injuries.

Wow this is fantastic. What were the details of his injuries if anyone knows? My dad was a trooper for 23 years in Montana and thank god he was blessed during every day. This video should give anyone hope and belief in our society.

Broke his back, arm, and leg. I would also like to add that he told the DA not to imprison the guy that hit him, yet now they go around and preach not to text and drive.

The guy that hit him was texting while traveling at 87 mph or around there and hit him from behind while he was doing a traffic stop. It was very emotional on scene with all the troopers there.

For real????? You would think it was a President?!?! 🙄🙄🙄how much did this cost us taxpayers?

As a tax payer located in Miami Dade County, I am less than thrilled to watch our tax funds at work during this ceremony. Miami Dade County and its executive staff are required to manage the funds appropriately and needless to say, this is far from appropriate. Yes an officer is back to work, however, there are other avenues to use than a helicopter that is used primarily for Trauma patients. The Chief of the Fire Department should be held responsible for allowing the use of a very expensive equipment. Very disappointing!

Then... you have never been at the field before. You have never said goodbye to a fellow soldier or military fellow. I have, in Afghanistan. There we said goodbye to an American, Two Australian and two from UK. As the American tax payer you are, then you supported our ceremony there as well. In this ceremony there is a different outcome, so... Why not celebrating his life? He is here, locally watching for our safety.
