Buying ANYTHING from AMAZON??? Click one of the links above and then go buy WHATEVER YOU WANT!!! The shop will earn a tiny commission from whatever you buy! It doesn't have to be the actual product on the link!
Thanks this saved my marriage, hubby was losing his mind with the assembly, pulled him out of the garage and made him watch this...lol! BAM! success :)))
Good vid! You're correct. #15, the connectors, attach with the long portion bolted to lower flange. Thanks for pointing that out! The HF directions say, "install the connectors with their short ends horizontal." If you try to force it the other way, the whole unit is misaligned and and twisted.
BOUGHT TWO OF THESE THIS PAST SATURDAY. FOLLOWED THE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS ON THE FIRST. GOT THE TWIST IN THE LEGS THAT EVERYONE SPEAKS OF BUT I THINK THEY WILL HAVE NO APPRECIABLE LOSS OF STRENGTH. HOWEVER, I DON'T LIKE THE TWIST, SO, ONE THE SECOND I ASSEMBLED MY WAY. I SAY TIGHTEN EVERTYTHING SAVE FOR THE LOWER FLANGE. ASSEMBLE THAT LAST, WHEN YOU TRY TO ATTACH THE CONNECTORS AND THEY WON'T FIT USE YOUR VISE AND MAKE IMPACT ADJUSTMENTS UNTIL THEY REACH THE HOLES ON THE LOWER FLANGE. THERE WILL BE NO EVIDENT LOSS OF STRENGTH AND THE UNIT JUST LOOKS BETTER.
i bought 2 at the same time i put 1st together like you did what a pain nothing lined up without fighting it, 2nd stand install legs to top tripod and tighten once points line up then work your way down leaving everything else loose until complete, worked much better
Yep, just assembled mine. Pain in the ass, so I removed the center supports, and everything flexed easier. Tightened the top after twisting it to half assed aligned with all points lol, then put center supports in using my port o power lol Geez !!! 🤣🤣🤣
I agree, poor fit. I actually moved all the horizontal cross members to the outside of the three legs. Yes it too twisted and I would never use it for it's rated 2 tons. I hope "they" put the same quality into their warships and planes...
Easier to start with the top plate and work down, that way as soon as you have the 3 bolts attached at the top then it stands up on its own, then you work your way down, Job done 5 mins all while sat on a chair :}.
@@hcr-motorworks I just finished the 1 I bought... Your video helped, but I had to make a wedge out of a length of 2x4 to spread the legs... Then tightened all bolts.... The center shaft is plumb, so I'm content. Thanks again.

could you show us how you use these??
I usually just prop one up under the front crossmember and one under the rear diff to prevent the vehicle from rocking on while on the lift.

@@christopherenoch4230 anytime man! glad it helped
Wear gloves when assembling. I ended up with some metal splinters throughout my hands.
Good grief, working off of the cement floor is so painful to watch! Get yourself a table to work off of!
Its in the works!
For a cheap man you complain too much.
You still paid money for it and he is right these things are not exact fit pain in the ass to put together
