I laughed out loud when you said your new award category would be "fun read". That's exactly what popped into my head when you read the question. I love that you made a distinction between quality people and folks who enjoy the same activities. I love my wonderful caring friends but we just don't enjoy the same things. Like you, I don't watch much TV except occasional binges into super cheesy reality shows. My two book clubs inevitably choose historical fiction (deliver me from any more WWII stories!), Alaskan wilderness strife and southern coming of age in the 50's and 60's. I've always been a mood reader (also like you) and am pretty much ready to try anything. I never give a straight answer about what I'm reading because--you know--judgment. You and other media creators are my heroes because you help me feel confident outside my comfort zone. I feel good about exploring, embracing and enjoying so many options. Thank you for all you do.
I'm not your typical subscriber. In my early 70's and still reinventing myself after losing my soulmate a few years ago. Should I add that I listened to this video on my way to therapy???????

I don't watch TV either.. I don't even have a TV. I would also rather be reading OR if I am watching something, it's on YT on my phone while I'm doing something else (chores/cooking/nails etc). You can get A LOT more done when you're not planted on the couch for hours.. another bonus... no commercials or mainstream news BS!

Would you maybe consider making videos for song recs per Lana album? Or if that's too much then just a general one for your favourite songs. I mainly only listened to Born To Die and then fell off her but would like to get back into her music and associating it with books would be really cool.
