Really cool Benny, I have the box for the 55 Cadillac Eldorado in that series, so cool, and how great is Jo Han for engineering the sprues, great stuff!!

Great vid Benny! I'd like to get me some of those '50's kits. I have that same Turbine kit, don't know what year mine is but it's awesome. What's the number for the scale finishes Turbine colour?

AMT were based in Detroit and had all the contacts with the fullsize car companies because they’d been making metal promos (Aluminium Model Toys) since about 1947. California based Revell wanted to get into the model kit business with some cars so they approached AMT with an offer, use AMT’s contacts to get the blueprints of the 1955 cars and Revell would do the tooling, manufacture and distribution.
The 1/32 multi piece kits were beautifully detailed lacking only glass. It was successful enough they repeated it again with the 1956 cars.
In 1957 Revell moved up to 1/25 and issued three exclusive Revell cars, but would reissue the 1/32 cars under solely the Revell name with a few customising parts thrown in, in an effort to compete with AMT’s 1958 line of 1/25 cars.

@@fubarmodelyard1392 they really are great kits, Revell wanted to impress with their first model car offerings. But AMT’s 1958 lineup in 1/25 with one-piece bodies, decals and glass was the game changer.
