You can't stuff a hypothetical 100 point soul into a 50 point body without losing anything. The Zetsus, however, can not only imitate chakra with which they have once come into contact, they are part of nature and can therefore absorb natural energy (such as Sagemode) very efficiently. That's why those who were revived with Zetsus are at around 99% of their original strength. Deidara, Kimimaro and Itachi were revived with normal ninjas and therefore only have 40-70% of their actual strength, which is hardly noticeable due to the fact that Edo Tensai's recover instantly by absorbing natural energy. This is also why Madara seems so overpowering. He just goes for it because he doesn't have to worry about his stamina. And he was awakened with the Hahirama cells, which are the same as the Zetsus. So he can use around 99% of the power he had during his lifetime all the time. This meant he could also use more Susanno, something he would never have done during his lifetime due to the stamina consumption.

Honestly Neji's death might probably be more tragic than Jiraiya's death. Because Neji was only 18 when he died and not only had a whole life infront of him but also had the potential to be one of the strongest fighters in the village. He was a prodige who died and never reached his full potential. Jiraiya atleast left a legacy. Neji...just died. Also, Obito mocking Neji's death was effin' cold.

The problem with the Hyuuga rotation technique is that they have to be on the ground with stable footing. Even if Neji made it in time to get his footing, the shards were coming from above, so the angle would be wrong to block them.
Neji was running low on chakra and he was at the point already where he said his rotation isn't enough. When he saw the targeted attack he wouldn't of had the chakra or time to use rotation to guarantee that it would stop them all, so instead he identified the ones that were a threat and used his body as a shield. Also you are right that Kabuto's and Orichimaru's reanimation are the same. It's just when Orochimaru first used it, it was much less powerful. It was improved over time to the point where Kabuto could reanimate people close to their full strength.

Nejis death was so extremely random no build up for it or anything just took us off guard but not in a terrible way

The manga makes the obito identity a little more clear so a lot of us were convinced it was him fairly early on but the reveal still felt exciting.
