Coppice lake was built in the 80’s by the owner of the Coppice Inn & Restaurant. Fed by water from Osbornes pond

You were likely aware of this when you filmed the video back in the day but at Osborne’s Pond the slope up to the walkway above the bridge was a branch line of the GNR that terminated at the long lost Heanor Gate/Heanor North railway station.
