It's the Tennessee River system and the biggest man made lake on the east coast and unbelievable for all big fish.
But another one of the best cat fish lakes on the east coast is reelfoot lake . It's not good for big fish nor has blues except from a straggler out of Mississippi River or 2 but for channel cats it's unbelievable. I've caught 40 in a day using worms or normal crappie minnows with a bobber around the shore line. Why wouldn't anyone want to fish in the miss River either ? Huge guaranteed monsters. 80 lbs are common as what you catch when we go

Haven’t been able to fish for almost a year because of high risk back surgery, but watching your videos sure helps me get by with all the excitement and all - it’s almost like being in the boat with you - woooooooe - keep it going , Dave - those pain-in-the neck birds look like cormorant that have invaded our waters.
Those birds are up here in Canada also. We call them loons! Annoying birds with that weird noise that they make. We have a dollar coin that we call a loonie!

Dave, The birds you have are called River Loons. I would think they would be good to have around cause they eat the bait fish. If theres bait fish theres big cats. Thats a sweet looking boat. You southern guys are blessed with great catfish waters. Up north where I am at, we consider a double digit pound catfish big. We also don’t have any blues by us either☹️
Dave in my area I’ve been looking for the fish for a couple weeks & I have found out that 95% of my catches right now have definitely been coming from shallow waters!!! I’ve found most in 10’ of water or less!! So I’ve definitely been fishing shallow & doing really good!!!

Hey Dave love your videos watch everyone you come out with. Sometime if you're looking for a different lake that's fairly close check out Cordell Hall on the Cumberland River we used to catch a couple hundred pounds a night running jugs up in the creeks. It's very low pressure almost nobody out there in the week. I don't know of anyone who fishes that lake with your style of catfishing. I think your style of fishing would do real well on that lake it's about 20 miles north of Cookeville Tennessee give it a look sometime.
Boy fish number 2 was a very pretty fish and healthy. I imagine those that size are common and the heart of the river system for reproducing there. Love it
I appreciate that he admits it's mostly about where you are. We've all experienced that: places that are great versus places that suck. It's everything. A lot of people go to these choice places and then pretend their fishing style is what did it. Don't think so!
